hi - no need to be messaging, but thank you! Seeing SPB yesterday reminded me to come and have a look at what's going on here... Do I understand right that there is a night out afoot and 24 July is the current frontrunner? If that's right, then I'd be up for that... wouldn't be able to make the later dates though.

Hope all's well with everyone. Looks like there are a few new names which is nice

EasilyConfusedIndith · 12/07/2010 07:28

Yay Hi Sticky

Ok so look slike 24th is indeed the front runner. Where shall we go?

FrozenNorth · 12/07/2010 15:24

Stealth - or anyone else who's attended one - what are the LLL meetings like around here and where are they?
I could do with a bit of moral support on the breastfeeding front (not that I'm thinking of stopping, more that my friends are driving me mad asking WHEN I'll stop and I need a nice way of saying None of Your Business, and No Time Soon). Also would appreciate some input about nursing as C gets older e.g. what does it actually feel like with teeth? How do you combat the sheer distractability of the older nursling? DD1 had EP'd milk from 5 months so I've never actually nursed a child of C's age before.
Sorry for rambling on ...
Does anyone fancy coffee and cake at the Botanical gardens this Friday / next Friday morning? My maternity leave is ticking away and I need to make the most of cake eating opportunities it.

FrozenNorth · 12/07/2010 15:26

Ah, so that strike out didn't work. You get the gist

LeggyBlondeNE · 12/07/2010 15:42

Botanical cake this Friay would be good - and FN we could meet beforehand if you like re data?

FrozenNorth · 12/07/2010 17:12

Great LBNE - do you mind if I bring Charlotte along to meeting? Is it okay that I'll still be missing one set of data (collection scheduled for 21st)?

Anyone else fancy cake this Fri?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 12/07/2010 17:29

I could be persuaded to eat cake So long as it is a nice day I think though and we can have cake outside, bit of a slog up to the botanics to have irritable children in a cafe.

LeggyBlondeNE · 12/07/2010 17:34

Oo - sorry you meant Wednesday next week for data! In that case I guess we're better waiting for that. Cake is still good though (and yes C is welcome in meetings!).

What about 11 for cake? Indith, forcast is currently wet but warm ... maybe we should see what they're saying on Thursday?!

Butterpie · 12/07/2010 23:16

LLL has meetings up the road from me (Rainbow Centre, Concord, Washington) if that is any help. They are absolutely lovely.

Does anyone have any hen night ideas? I'm getting married very soon (Aug 28, of course you are all invited) and want a north east leg of my hen night!

Must be very. very cheap. In fact, the dream would be a gang of us in a field round a campfire drinking real ale :D

Mermaidspam · 12/07/2010 23:52

That sounds like a good hen night to me BP! Find a field and let me know the date!

BouncingTurtle · 13/07/2010 12:38

I can't make it this Friday sadly as my mum is visiting, so not suer what we are doing.

Have fun though, will try and make another cakey meetup.

Night out.... I think we should go back to Capital Indian, what does everyone else think?

LeggyBlondeNE · 13/07/2010 13:41

Butterpie - my NE leg of hen party was a round (or two) of cocktails in Ebony's and then back to my house for champagne, lasagne and girly films.

It was the night before the wedding so we didn't drink too much!

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2010 13:48

I went to that one Butterpie, last Saturday, it was lovely!
They're not having one in August, picnic instead and then on again in September

EasilyConfusedIndith · 13/07/2010 21:25

sounds good Butter.

Where shall we go on the night out?

Intergalactic · 14/07/2010 08:09

Hiya all, is Friday at the Botanics definite now? I have plans with my grandparents but can rearrange without any bother.

Am a bit stressed today - it's usually MiL's day to have DS1 but she can't so I'm going to have to bring him out for DS2's jabs this afternoon . Think I'm going to stick rain coats on and get out this morning as he's full of beans and driving me a bit loopy already.

SPB, yes, the snowsuit sounds great thanks. He'll be 8 months at Christmas but is massive so it should be good for the start of winter, thank you very much.

FrozenNorth · 14/07/2010 14:00

Argh, have just had to book a meeting on Friday morning. Would anyone be free for Thursday morning at the Botanical gardens instead as LBNE suggests - Intergalactic, is this better for you?

Butterpie · 14/07/2010 14:03

StealthPolarBear · 14/07/2010 14:05

Butterpie · 14/07/2010 14:06
