I am short & fat and will have my crazy haired DS with me, 2.6 but small for his age, I'll probably be running around screaming "No ds, come here, why are you not listening to me, we have to have lunch now then we can play" and getting very stressed

EasilyConfusedIndith · 22/06/2010 17:54

Just think of the cake BT, think of the cake.

BouncingTurtle · 22/06/2010 18:38

I will.. and hope that DS doesn't see the play area until he has had his lunch!

juneybean · 22/06/2010 18:43

I wonder what kind of cake there'll be...

OP posts:
Butterpie · 22/06/2010 19:35

juneybean · 22/06/2010 19:36

OP posts:
Butterpie · 22/06/2010 19:56

MyPurpleDove · 22/06/2010 20:06

juney, last time I was there they had clotted cream cheesecake on the specials board.
I so hope it's still there .

juneybean · 22/06/2010 20:10

MyPurpleDove · 22/06/2010 20:11

Oops, forgot I had name changed. S'me BS.

Butterpie - dunno about buses, but its along the duel carriageway from c-l-s, then left at the top roundabout. Pub is called Dunelm Ridge.
Actually, now I think about it, the buses go the same route (I think).

[sun has fried my brain emoticon]

Butterpie · 22/06/2010 20:13

I don't think we can make it Sorry!

Chocaholica · 22/06/2010 20:27

Shame you cant make it Butterpie; would be good to meet you as your DDs are similar ages to mine (just a bit older). Its on the bus route number 50 between South Shields, Washington, C-le-St and Durham - stop between C-le-S and Durham.

Hmm, well, if we're describing ourselves, I'll be the one looking round anxiously, with a tummy and a red pram.

Looking forward to it, specially as my toddler isn't coming so it'll be peaceful for me with just the baby....

MyPurpleDove · 22/06/2010 20:34

Choca, have a peek at some of our profiles. Some of us have pics on (not on mine, but its what I did when going to my first meet up).

Chocaholica · 22/06/2010 21:23

Just been stalking you all... I think I have more chance of recognizing the children than adults, since most people post pics of their kids rather than themselves.

Which frankly I would too... my daughters are way more photogenic than me...

Intergalactic · 22/06/2010 21:31

Sorry for being so last minute - thought I had better let you know that after stalking Indith on an unrelated thread, I have found this one and am planning to join you for lunch tomorrow too. I am nice, honest!

Wednesday is the day DS1 goes to MIL's, so I will only have little baby DS2 with me. Indith, from your description of your kids I'm sure I've seen you at the swings, a few weeks ago but I was both shy and a bit haywire as DS was only a couple of weeks old so I just smiled but didn't chat - I think you talked to my DH there a few weeks before too when I was heavily pregnant. So hopefully I will recognise you.

juneybean · 22/06/2010 22:13

Ooo newbies

OP posts:
EasilyConfusedIndith · 23/06/2010 08:16

Oh yay I know who you are! I'm glad, you seem so lovely, I wanted to befriend you but didn't want to seem like a crazy friendless stalker woman.

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2010 08:56

HI everyone
I don't think I'll be able to make it I have been useless and double booked - going for a hair cut and then lunch with parents.
I'm hoping to come back after lunch so I might ring Indith to see if you're still around (thanks for the text BTW that's what reminded me), if you are I'll just come straight up there.
I'm so sorry for being stupid

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2010 08:58

and hope yoyu have a lovely time if I can't make it, obviously
#I was planning on going to that picnic too, well unless I forget and plan something else obviously

EasilyConfusedIndith · 23/06/2010 11:19

Tsk, you daft polar bear

MyPurpleDove · 23/06/2010 11:20

Remember socks for the little ones, or they make you buy a pair.

See you all soon.............mmmm, cake

LeggyBlondeNE · 23/06/2010 11:37

Apologies for last minute quesiton - but Brewsters or Brewer's Fayre...? Or are they the same thing now?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 23/06/2010 11:47

No idea, I'm about to shove the dcs in the car and head to the pub that you pass just before reaching the Arnison, hope that is the right one!

Intergalactic · 23/06/2010 17:09

I'm home! And I had such a good time, you are all lovely!

Sent a text to DH as I was leaving along the lines of "they're all breastfeeding, baby-wearing, co-sleeping hippies like me"!

Right, as promised my sling is from here. Mine was in stock when I ordered, but I've heard that they are very quick at making up the out of stock ones too.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2010 17:14

see some of you at the picnic?? that's only 3 days away, mayber i'll keep it in my head till then
but i've had a haircut, and more importantly so has ds!
