Thought I'd take the bold step of starting a new thread as the otherone was getting a bit long.

So lets start again - who can make the Saturday 28th June for the second lunchtime Liverpool meet up?

I'm happy to book table etc this time to relieve eyelash of the burden.

Sorry not posted for a while, been trying to arrange dd's christening for this weekend and working full-time for the last 2 weeks has left me no time for mumsnet (or anything else pleasurable!), but just to confirm that I have managed to book Life Cafe, Bold St, Lpool, 12.00 on Sat 2 August. So far its booked for 12 mums but can easily be amended.

So far the takers seem to be.....me (moomicat), eyelash, woozle, AliP, chatee, leander, summ1, Hilary, marialuisa, vicimelly, ninja and morrocco.........of course I hope I haven;t missed anyone out and all those who wish to come from further afield are very welcome to join us, the more the merrier, we should have a good laff. Anyone else fancy a natter and a HUGE pud????

Hi everyone, sorry but i'm going to have to cancel for saturday, I can't make it now, please organise another meet though! hope to meet you all at the next one.

leander · 28/07/2003 22:12

Hi everyone, are we still on for next week? haven't seen many nw mums posting, where are you all?
Moomicat how did the christening go?
Chatee how are you feeling, still sick?
Alip how is your little boy doing, are you ok?
hope everyone else is ok.

marialuisa · 29/07/2003 10:17

I'm still ok for Saturday. Am i right in thinking that this is a child-free event?

Moomicat · 29/07/2003 15:08

As far as I know its child-free but not necessarily small baby-free (if U see what I mean) - the Life Cafe is baby friendly at any rate!!

Leander - did you get your car seat thingy all fixed up? Haven't checked that thread recently so 'spose I should have looked there before replying to this one!! Christening went well - pretty busy with 50 partying guests but the pub did all the work so I could relax and show the baby off with plenty of drinks being bought for me (must do that again some time!!)

Looking fwd to this Saturday!!

chatee · 30/07/2003 10:04

hi all,
i'll be there for the meet up this saturday and i'm looking forward to it
any other n/w mums or people visiting the n/w are welcome to join us

eyelash · 30/07/2003 13:03

I will be there!

AliP · 30/07/2003 22:23

hoping to be there with ds. see you all there.

summ1 · 31/07/2003 19:41

just confirming that i will definatley be there on Saturday, what name is the table booked under?

leander · 01/08/2003 07:58

Hi summ1, the table is booked under the name of viv,we met in the bar last time is this what we are doing again?

eyelash · 01/08/2003 19:05

summ1 - look for a bunch of women looking furtively about - the second last time we met, Leander and I both grinned massively at a lone woman who entered the bar - she looked at us rather oddly and it was then we noticed the gaggle of other people coming in behind her who were with her!

We will keep a look out for you, but we should be at the table soon after 12 in any case.

Moomicat · 01/08/2003 20:56

Has anyone noticed how mothers rock from side to side when they meet up with other mothers? If nothing else just look out for a bunch of women swaying from side to side in perfect rythym to each other, that's how you'll know!!!

Woozle- how are you? Not seen any posts lately - hope you are all OK. My big new news is that I've now launched the business website. Go to www.liverbabes.net and have a grin.

See you all tomorrow at 12.00!

chatee · 02/08/2003 10:23

guys i'm really miffed off, dd will not go out to the zoo with her gran and cousin without me
so i can't come and join you(boohoo)
have a pud on me-can the next meet up please be with children(even horrible ones like my dd)??
have a great time and think of me trollopping around the zoo and getting aquainted with the toilets

eyelash · 02/08/2003 20:14

Chatee - you missed a good turnpot today but we hope you enjoyed the zoo in any case. We have set the next date as the 27 September with children. Venue not decided but the pub in the park at Croxteth Park is a distint possibility. If you travel by train, I will be happy to pick you up on the way. I assume the venue etc will be finalised closer to the time.

We will probably be meeting up in the next couple of weeks with children for an informal play session. No arrangements as yet but would you be interested?

Great to see everybody today - I for one find them very refreshing - nice to meet new people and have a break. Hope to see you all soon.

ninja · 02/08/2003 20:41

sorry I couldn't make it - parents decided that it was the ONLY day they could come and visit (then came and ignored dd anyway grrrrrr)

Glad you had a good time and I really will try and make it next time

marialuisa · 02/08/2003 22:04

Thanks to all of you who came today for making me feel welcome, I think my lunch out was slightly better than DH's experience in McDonalds!

I'll be in contact about a Wirral expedition towards the end of next week.

Moomicat · 02/08/2003 23:33

Great to meet yet more mumsnetters - we'll have our own football team next if numbers are anything to go by! I can now definitely recommend the puddings at the Life Cafe - after all the excitement I couldn't even finish mine!!!boo-hoo

Looking forward to the Wirral expedition and the next Liverpool meet-up on 27 Sep (separate thread to follow).

leander · 03/08/2003 19:00

Had a great time yesterday,Lovely to meet the new mums,I am looking forward to meeting on the Wirral.
Chatee, hope you had a nice time at the zoo and hope you are feeling ok,the next meetup will definately be with kids on the 27th September.
I will start a new thread now.

morocco · 08/08/2003 23:52

really sorry I couldn't make it guys - mil troubles - tell you more when we meet up some time in the future!

eyelash · 09/08/2003 17:14

Morocco - sorry you couldn't make it. The next date is the 27 September with children. Marialuisa is currently organising an informal play date for mums and kids somewhere in the Wirral in the next couple of weeks. Can you make that?

marialuisa · 09/08/2003 18:04

Hi Everyone,

The easiest date seems to be Thursday August 21st foor a mums and kids meet-up on the Wirral. I'm happy for you all to come to our house but if you're uncomfortable with that or would prefer a softplay place then post here! I can't drive but there is a wacky warehouse (neber been) within easy reach.

Am I right in thinking that a morning meet-up would be the preferred option?

Summ1, I'll try and get hold of you again early next week, or post on here if you're checking the boards.

doormat · 09/08/2003 21:32

why not europa pools marialuisa, sorry to butt in just a suggestion, as I live in the Wirral.

Moomicat · 09/08/2003 23:08

Marialuisa

I can do Thursday 21st but prefer pm rather than am, but if everyone else can only make it am don't worry about us! I am happy to meet wherever convenient, will come over in the car anyway.

marialuisa · 10/08/2003 08:22

Sorry Moomincat, I thought you preferred am! Anytime is good for me so I'll go with the consensus.

Been told to avoid Europa pools in the hols, rambunctious teenage boys and girls apparently.
