Thought I'd take the bold step of starting a new thread as the otherone was getting a bit long.

So lets start again - who can make the Saturday 28th June for the second lunchtime Liverpool meet up?

I'm happy to book table etc this time to relieve eyelash of the burden.

Oh, I haven't checked this thread for ages and when I do, the meet up has happened! Oh well, maybe next time...

chatee · 02/07/2003 19:30

Leander, thanks for the message last night I must have just missed you. How's your little boy?
hope he's now getting over the worst spots...just out of interest my friend in Warrington has a little girl with chicken pox as well. We've been there, done that in February with a blackout in the village-no heat, no power and Mummy couldn't find a torch we now have them located sensibly upstairs and downstairs.

Will be at the meet up on 02/08/03 as I'm on ho;iday that week and will make a long weekend of it
not feeling too *icky today or have I just cursed myself
lol to all nw mums and children

Moomicat · 03/07/2003 21:20

Hi welcome to nickijane, summ1 and hilary - hope you can all make it on 2nd Aug.

Summ1 - hope you are recovering OK from c-s; it can take time and the trick is not to do too much too soon (at the risk of sounding mumsy and teaching granny to suck eggs, you prob know this already!!!) I'm not very good at accepting offers of help but found I had to post-cs cos I was very bruised afterwards. Still it got other people doing my washing, ironing etc for a short time!
Woozle and Eyelash - guess what? Got offered a new job at work this week which will hopefully mean less stress and also bit more money still part-time with opeion of some home-working. Still got the commute to Manc-land but you cant have everything. Still thinking about attending that interview in LIverpool tomorrow though JUST in case...........aaaagh decisions decisions
Cheers
Moomicat

eyelash · 04/07/2003 18:14

mommicat - how did the interview go?

woozle · 04/07/2003 19:31

Well done Moomicat - home working for at least one day a week will make a lot of difference. You must feel a bit more appreciated at work now!

How did the interview go today?

OP posts:
Moomicat · 04/07/2003 20:59

Disaster struck - when I posted last night I had a little bit of a sore throat and it hurt when I swallowed, uh-oh I thought, don;t want to come down with anything before the interview. Woke up this morning with raging tonsillitus and no voice!!! Couldn't even ring to say I couldn;t attend the interview, I still can;t speak now. Nursey husband thinks its a strep infection with laryngitis - he's happy I can;t talk the hind legs off a donkey, I'm gutted. However, I managed to read the entire new Harry Potter book while granny and grandad had DD today.

Isn't fate funny..........

Gumdrop · 08/07/2003 12:34

Is there anyone out there who would be interested in meeting up in Manchester? I'm sure the L'pool meets are great, its just that I'm on the Pennines so its a bit of a jaunt!

oliveoil · 08/07/2003 12:36

I would be interested in a Mcr meet up....

marialuisa · 08/07/2003 12:39

Would it be ok if i came along to the liverpool meet-up? We're on the Wirral (Birkenhead side though) and it'd be nice to meet some local mums and get to know a bit more about the area!

AliP · 08/07/2003 13:43

I'll be there on the 2nd August - can't wait to see people again out of the house!

Is it going to be in the life cafe again?

AliP · 13/07/2003 17:21

Hi Vicimelly - of course you are welcome to attend - I'm looking forward to meeting up with everyone.

Leander glad to hear that your little one is OK.

see you all soon
AliP

eyelash · 13/07/2003 18:56

Hello everybody - I will also be at the next meet and looking forward to seeing you all. I think moomicat was going to book a table at the Life cafe after a general trawl for numbers.

AliP - are you bringing the baby - it would be lovely to see him and I am sure you would find willing hands to hold him while you relax. If you are in my area this week feel free to pop by - ds1 is particularly good with babies.

Chatee - I would be up for a meet up in the holidays with the children. If you are still interested would you mind starting a new thread so that there isn't any confusion between the child-free and childrens meet.

chatee · 13/07/2003 19:03

yes i'm definetly coming

ninja · 13/07/2003 20:32

I'm definitely up for a meet, couldn't make first (birth), the second (MIL over from Ireland) but really want to meet you lot - does a young baby count as a child (IYSWIM)? If so I'm on the wrong thread

Also interested in meeting in Mcr (as well) as it's closer for me

morocco · 13/07/2003 21:50

maybe I'll be able to make it too if I can negotiate a break from mil who we'll be visiting that weekend.
Be great to see you all

luchar · 14/07/2003 15:34

Hi. I would really like a Manchester meet up. I can't easily get to Liverpool without the boys but could do Manchester OK. How many of us would that be then? I work full time so a Saturday would be best for me, but what about everyone else?? I would love to hear from any one (should I start a new thread??). Ninja, oliveoil, gumdrop, empress and rhubarb - you have all mentioned meeting in M'cr - what do you think??

ninja · 14/07/2003 21:00

Yes start a new thread luchar - Mcr meetup sounds great
