I may join you on an exeter meet up, any where i an get to by bike ( which means exeter and with in about 7 miles of north exeter. Dinkies sound good, boy is 18m/o, eventully we will go to dinkies and he will not have the screaming abdabs about the ball pool. So sorry if we go there and he is having the abdabs, he just doesn;t seem to "get" ball pools

That sounds great, just let me know where and when, I have heard of Dinkys but never been before, I am sure I can find it though.
Thanks

sighkotika · 10/09/2007 08:31

i think next time i go into exeter i will hunt out dinkies, just so i know where it is if we decide to meet there

Aims1 · 10/09/2007 14:31

I think I am going to try out the train from Teignmouth to Exeter this week, see how easy it is!!! If anyone fancies meeting give us a shout

Triggles · 11/09/2007 12:03

I'm from a small village near Exeter and would love to meet up with others sometime. I work full time, but different shifts, so the "when" would be variable but I drive, so the "where" most likely wouldn't be a problem (unless I get too far off my known pathways and get lost! ). I've heard good things about this Dinkys place, but have never been there.

numptysmummy · 11/09/2007 13:28

Hi Triggles and all. Can someone please explain (again!) where Dinkys is. Lived here forever but still haven't found it!

Fennel · 11/09/2007 14:12

Dinky's is one one of the little streets (called Guinea St I think) behind the High St, behind where Foodeaze was in the old market hall. To get there you can go down a little passage to the left of the recently closed Foodeaze, there's a car park on your left, then a little street on your right, Dinky's is just there on the corner facing you.

Or you can go along South St and up Guinea St, past a pet shop and Dinky's is there on your right.

my 3yo is getting a bit big for Dinky's now, I'd be worried she'd rampage over too many small and wobbly children so I can't really join you there if you do meet.

numptysmummy · 11/09/2007 14:27

That was my other worry - ds3 but dd1. Wasn't sure what the age range was. Is Bumpers backyard still going at riverside leisure center?

Fennel · 11/09/2007 15:36

Dinky's is officially OK for all pre-schoolers but it's especially aimed at the under 3s really. The Riverside soft play is still there, a bit scruffy and airless so not that great a place to hang out but my children quite like it.

numptysmummy · 11/09/2007 16:04

Haven't taken ds2 and dd2 there but the older 2 always enjoyed it. Tho it was minging then iirc.

UniSarah · 15/09/2007 22:56

I'll try and remember to enquire at Riverside aout Bumpers prices. I'm there tomoz for the sports hall. Need to ask if i have to pay for Boy to go into Bumpers decide he hates it and come straight back out again like he has done the last few times hes been near a soft pay area.
