Hi everyone

I am 27 with a 20 month old son - I live in Barnstaple, North Devon.

This is the first time I've been to this site & it would be great to hear from anyone who lives near me...

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 09:58

Well,ds2 starts preschool on sept and then i will only have dd2 who is 1 so a meet up in town would be o.k then. Just taking a 3 yr old in that isn't my idea of fun but littlies in pushchairs is fine

indiasmum · 21/08/2007 10:18

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 10:26

Hello {waves back},did you get my email? Been soooo busy, time has really flown. We met our new neighbours the other day and dh is convinced the blokes gdad wrote Thomas the tank! When do yours go back?

sighkotika · 21/08/2007 10:28

[wave] hi indiasmum the more the merrier i think.

so is exeter for coffee good for everyone? if it is, what date?

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 10:36

Not sure yet as i don't know what dates ds will be a pre-school or chilldminders. Cafe Boulevard in harlequins is lovely and child/buggy friendly.

sighkotika · 21/08/2007 10:40

lol i love that place. last time i was there they gave me staff discount because i had been in there so often

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 10:48

It's fab isn't it! I go there all the time - the american pancakes with bacon and maple syrup are my favourite. Dh and i go there if he has a day off,you can be grown up and not feel bad because of your children being there.Indiasmum, did you have a good anniversary? Mine today and i haven't got him anything or organised a babysitter. Best get my arse in gear!

indiasmum · 21/08/2007 11:38

hi

busy here too. in fact i am totally exhausted and almost feeling ill with it . dh has had no time off at all all holiday and none booked til fri and the following fri. ds1 has been off scjhool since 5th july so will basically have done 9 weeks of holiday on own.
i need a flipping holiday.

is cafe boulevard the cafe overlooking habitat?
could we poss make it dinkys? sorry to be a pita but i will have dd with me (2.8) and she can only sit beautifully for a short while! or even bostons where lots of room for running around?!

numptysmummy i did get your email thanks just not got round to replying. mmm not looking best weather for picnic anyway is it?! anniversary was ok. went to new exe shed (near wagamamas) for dinner but not best impressed. dh bought me a nice watch for pressie though. i got him an elvis cd lol

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 12:15

Where is Bostons? Or Dinkys for that matter! Not sure where to go tonight - if i can get a babysitter . Haven't got him anything yet either, had a real blank this year and sort pof forgot abojut it even though i knew when it was iyswim!

indiasmum · 21/08/2007 12:22

bostons is on queen street next to tony and guy- huge upstairs area. fabbo coffees and lovely food, dinkys is the one with the kids play area, round the back of foodease/old market. they have baby walkers/ baby seats too

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 12:26

Ah,marmallous! Sounds good to me. Just trying to sort out preschool at the moment, think he'll be going 3 mornings a wk and 1 day at childminders. Can't blardy wait

sighkotika · 21/08/2007 12:38

not sure where either of those are, but if someone can give me directions, it wont be a problem

numptysmummy · 21/08/2007 12:49

Queen st is the st that runs past marks and sparks and ends at the cross rds outside habitat. You can walk through, pass toni and guy to get to ghandi st.
