It's just me & my DD right now but I'm hopeful that other Plymouth mums will find us. I'm 32 yrs old, my girl is six months & we're ready to be sociable. Who else is? Looking forward to finding out

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

feeling paranoid yet 19fran76?

tigana · 02/06/2009 21:36

NO!
you are kidding, yes?
Please say you are kidding!!!

How am I supposed to live vicariously when no one sodding meets anyone

19fran76 · 02/06/2009 21:59

Thanks girls. Must say, I've never been stood up 'til now (& last week with Pav ). At what point do you think I should become paranoid? I'm sticking with bloody-minded 'til I actually meet a real live person so far

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 02/06/2009 22:15

i'd be paranoid.
hang in there, the exeter meet up is a dead cert.
(once we actually arrange it of course)

tigana · 02/06/2009 22:37

FGS if this how we do it in plymouth...maybe I can "do" some of the daytime meets

Hey, anyone, I'll meet you tomorrow, 10.30 am...ouside the aquarium.

(fully intend to be in St Austell at meeting tomorrow at 10.30am but that won'tn't matter...this is a plymouth meet up... )

Tasha1976 · 02/06/2009 23:07

Hi my names Tasha and I'm 33. I have a 2 year old ds and a 2 week old dd. Currently on materniy leave until next April and looking to meet new friends. Has a Plymouth meet up gone ahead yet?

tigana · 02/06/2009 23:13

Hi Tasha

weeeeellll...2 mini-meetups have been arranged...but have, um, been rather too mini on the day (if you scan down this thread you'll see what I mean )

Best bet is to put this thread on watch and chcek it every so often. Am sure 19fran76 will be back tomorrow...and am anticipating a "ohmigod! I totally forgot!" or "ohmigod! did you mean this tuesday?!" post from Claire2009 at some point

nevergoogledragonbutter · 02/06/2009 23:13

not yet, 19fran76 keeps getting stood up.

19fran76 · 03/06/2009 08:47

Yep, Tigana is right, I'm back. "Glutton for punishment" springs to mind.

Tasha welcome. My name is Fran & I keep getting stood up

I too, would like to meet new friends & firmly believe there are some like-minded souls in Plymouth

Off to the Aquarium today

oh fran, you are made of hardy stuff.
respect.

Claire2009 · 03/06/2009 20:05

I'm so so so so sorry Fran

I've lost my days entirely this week and only realised today was Weds which meant I'd missed the Tues meet

Sooooooo sorry!

19fran76 · 03/06/2009 22:17

Thankyou NGDB, a fine compliment gratefully received

As for you Claire2009 go & sit in the naughty corner .

O.K. you can come out now, being as you had the nerve good grace to show up online at least

Right, who's next to join in the fun? Roll up, roll up...

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 03/06/2009 22:39

Thankyou

I will attend the next meet-up, although I definitely can't do next Tues, but can do ;

*Most Tues (when I remember what day it is )
*Weds - anytime
*Thurs mornings/late afternoons (3pm onwards)
*Friday mornings/early afternoons (have to be home for 2.45pm to collect dd)
*Weekends are fine anytime

Tasha1976 · 04/06/2009 00:07

Hi tigana. Have just read the thread back and see what you mean. Lol.

Fran I can't believe it! I'm sure it will be third time lucky on the next arranged meet. How did you dd enjoy the aquarium? Keep meaning to take my ds back now he is older.

19fran76 · 04/06/2009 13:34

Tasha1976 you are right, our fellow Plymothians will be powerless to resist the magnetic force that is third time lucky.

Right, I'm thinking next Wednesday. Location subject to mutual convenience/weather forecast. All those in favour say 'Aye'.

OP posts:
tigana · 04/06/2009 13:45

fran76 you are the definition of masochism dogged perseverence!

Claire2009 · 04/06/2009 13:51

Weds great here so 'Aye!

Tasha1976 · 04/06/2009 21:30

'Aye!' Sounds good to me.

19fran76 · 05/06/2009 08:56

Indeed tigana, the time for hesitation is over, it's do or die!

Two further 'Ayes' & counting.....

OP posts:
19fran76 · 05/06/2009 20:55

Hmm... it appears the maximum threshold for Plymouth meet ups is 3.

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 05/06/2009 21:02

LOL better than 0

nevergoogledragonbutter · 06/06/2009 12:26

aye! (i think)

19fran76 · 06/06/2009 18:16

Woah there, we've exceeded maximum load. Any more tentative 'ayes'? Devendra, did you ever get back alive from Volksfest? Pav, do you need some emergency trifle to fire you up?

OP posts:
PavlovtheCat · 07/06/2009 17:25

I can't do Wednesdays now as I am back at work til 4pm. I can do tues PM and Fridays and weekends.

But I too want to meet.

PavlovtheCat · 07/06/2009 17:29

However.

In the assumption it will take ages to organise anything....

We are going to the West Hoe Park and having a little picnic for DDs birthday on the saturday after 1 July. There will be about 5 kids. And more are absolutely welcome, so if you are around and want to gatecrash DD would love lots more kids to come as she loves making little friends.

Just let me know if you want to bring your sprogs, so I can make sure we do enough food (the usual outdoor party picnic stuff).

Will do some little games, put up some balloons, give all the kids a go or 2 on the bouncy castle and train rides. Keep it simple while I still can! Won't be long before she will want something exotic
