It's just me & my DD right now but I'm hopeful that other Plymouth mums will find us. I'm 32 yrs old, my girl is six months & we're ready to be sociable. Who else is? Looking forward to finding out

Was it a good place to grow up? I grew up in a small town with the River Severn flowing through the middle & a big forest down the lane so pretty lucky in terms of environment for a child.

Hi all, have posted on the exeter thread cos I didn't realise this one existed.

I would love to meet you all but am going to be busy waiting for dc3 to arrive (40wks on tues) so I can't meet up yet but please don't write me off.

I agree we do need to say a proper goodbye to my mate DB before she does her midnight flit! and deserts us leaves these balmy shores for that altogether colder place!!!

Hope you all have a great time this time, and I would love to meet you all soon. Preferably looking a darn sight slimmer!!

(Oh and I'm south hams way but have car so fairly able to get most places.

Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 20:43

Fran, It was lovely. For the 14yrs I was there

Doris, Hopefully we will get to meet you soon Good Luck with baby

tigana · 31/05/2009 20:45

Just adding myself into the mix.
Can't do 8-6 mon to fri

But I do live in Plymouth (originally from gloucestershire incidentally. Cheltenham then May Hill btw Gloucester and Forest of Dean) and have a DS 3yo.

Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 20:46

Welcome Tigana

Perhaps a w/e meet up would be best?

tigana · 31/05/2009 20:50

Well, I know weekends aren't always the best for others...they tend to have better things to do (!...I mean that in a positive way!).
and if DH is around I would probably rather do family stuff although that doesn't always work...but when he is away...

Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 20:51

Ok I'm just going to go with the flow here, and if I can attend a meet up I'll be there

19fran76 · 31/05/2009 20:59

Hope DC3 gets a wriggle on for you Doris. Would be pleased to meet you & the infamous Dragonbutter whilst the chance remains!

Hi Tigana, the Forest of Dean is a bit lovely, too. If you have a weekend date over the next few weeks that suits just post it on here

Claire, Pavlov might be able to join us Tues p.m. Is the train on the Hoe still a good meeting point?

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 21:06

Yep the train on the Hoe is good As is Tues

19fran76 · 31/05/2009 21:10

Cool. 2 p.m. o.k.?

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 21:20

Yep 2pm perfect

I'll be the one with the double buggy & toddlers of course

19fran76 · 31/05/2009 21:26

I'll have DD in the retro backpack again. I'll post what I'm wearing on Tues a.m. just to make me & DD double obvious

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 21:28

Great I'll do the same

What's a retro backpack? is it the same as a back carrier?

19fran76 · 31/05/2009 21:34

It is a very old, very low tech back carrier a.k.a. a bit of metal tubing & some 80s colour scheme nylon

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 31/05/2009 21:36

Ohh, well if it works and if your dd & you are comfortable then great!

nevergoogledragonbutter · 31/05/2009 21:40

what day/time/location are you meeting up?

tuesday, 2pm on the hoe?

i can do monday, or quite late afternoon tuesday.

19fran76 · 31/05/2009 21:46

Oh lordy, it's the infamous NGDB!

Just how late on Tuesday, do you want to be?

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 31/05/2009 22:21

i have to work until 3

19fran76 · 01/06/2009 22:35

NGDB, I reckon we'll be there long enough to make ourselves dizzy on the train & eat a double ice cream apiece. D'you want to come for a post-work coffee? We can rock Plymouth town afterwards if you like/if it is easier?

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 01/06/2009 22:42

I think you might have to count me out. I'll need to go home and get the kids and then it'll be after 4 by the time i get into town. I'll be hot, sweaty and tired by then.

I'm usually off on wednesdays though, so maybe next time.

19fran76 · 01/06/2009 23:19

Yep, plus that would all be double strenuous in this sunshine. Will note your potential Wednesday availability.

Are you crashing the Exeter night out? Perhaps we will meet there.

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 01/06/2009 23:51

Yes, it should be fun.

19fran76 · 02/06/2009 08:54

Hi Claire, will be wearing denim mini, turquoise t-shirt, purple birkies. Baby will be in a red & white sunhat if I can persuade her

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 02/06/2009 21:26

How did it go?

19fran76 · 02/06/2009 21:27

Tut at Claire!
