Are there any mums near Exeter who would like to meet up for a natter and a cuppa?

if everyone who has expressed an interest on this thread actually turns up, there will be 19 of us!

dragonbutter · 04/03/2009 21:59

is that including the children?

littlelamb · 04/03/2009 22:01

Better tell them to make a few more brownies

PhoenixFirefly · 04/03/2009 22:02

nooo just adults! i didnt even think to count children

PhoenixFirefly · 04/03/2009 22:03

pavlov, i have to warn you though, ds is a massive flirt lol

dragonbutter · 04/03/2009 22:07

wow, wonder how many will actually show up.

think i'm popping over to exeter this weekend.

DrowningInClutter · 04/03/2009 22:15

Can I join in? Ds is 9 months and would almost certainly be coming too. He's getting really heavy for the sling so I'd probably need help getting a buggy up the stairs!

PhoenixFirefly · 04/03/2009 22:17

the more the merrier drowninginclutter (an there is definately going to be more lol 20!)

DrowningInClutter · 04/03/2009 22:20

I've seen Eat Static and Zion Train at the pheonix so I'm wondering if anyone will be familiar...

PhoenixFirefly · 04/03/2009 23:10

ok, so here is a list of everyone who has shown an interest in coming. copy the list and put a yes next to your name if you are definately going to come, or a no if you can't and then we will know where we stand.

I am still hoping to come, I may not be able to confirm till just before though. I know at BTP that amount of us will have to sit upstairs but will there be space for the prams downstairs or can we drag them upstairs?

There is not room to leave prams downstairs really. But the staff are really lovely at helping you up the stairs with buggies. If we have 19 we will struggle though I think they only have about 3 highchairs too
The cook there is my friends sister, do you think I should warn them that they are being descended upon?!

bluebump · 05/03/2009 10:27

That's ok then, mine has a buckled frame and lots of swear words leave my mouth when trying to put it up if I have to fold it down so i'm happier to lug it up some stairs!

Yes it might be a good idea to warn them, maybe they can corden us off our own VIP area

diedandgonetodevon · 05/03/2009 11:44

Sorry for the delay in coming back on here. We've been away for a few days. Gosh, can't believe there could be as many as 19 of us. Fab!

Defintely think it is worth warning them!

I should have thought it would be quite difficult to store 12 or more pushchairs downstairs at the BTP- it's quite small downstairs. There are often people with buggies upstairs though, so as long as you don't rive a huge silver cross pram you should be able to get them upstairs!

Otherwise, there's Cafe Rouge in the new Princesshay that has a large downstairs room and always seems to have loads of babies and toddlers. Also there's a changing room there.

bluebump · 05/03/2009 15:18

Hmm guess who has a huge Silver Cross pram? Actually it will be in pushchair mode it isn't that big!

PhoenixFirefly · 05/03/2009 20:28

lol littlelamb, you read my mind, i was contemplating ringing them to let them know. i wont be bringing the pram and ds doesnt need a highchair so that is one less person fighting over them lol

pavlovthecat · 06/03/2009 07:09

Don;t ring them to let them know, ring them to make sure they have enough chocolate brownies!!! I would be upset if they run out...

Pheonix, I don't think you are taking over, rather, demonstrating teamwork!

Oh and I really don't mind helping people lug pushchairs. DD doesn't use one any more so we won't have one. Although she might want to help and actually hinder!

It will be a good way to spot the MNers though eh? Oh there is another buggy coming in, lets go give em a hand/pour coffee...

Hey...that has just given me an idea? maybe, maybe we can arrange a dedicated waitress/waiter so we don't spend ages trying to get served? OR, like a little set of coffee pots etc, like when you go on training? OK, slap me, getting carried away with myself here...
