Evening all!!

Well i was out on Saturday with my dd1's nursery mums Christmas/get to know each other better. I was fine till i started on the wine. I ended up pissed as a fart!!

I wasn't the worst there btw,thank god.

So a plea to you all? DO NOT let me have wine on the 20th? I will be having G&T all night. NO WINE ever!!!!

mawbroon · 25/11/2008 15:29

LOL agalch. You lush!!

prettybird · 26/11/2008 11:06

Well, I'll be on the wine. It's the spirits that would send me OTT.

.... not that I wasn't quite merry last year just on wine!

Lilliput · 26/11/2008 11:15

I feel the need to say what I am wearing (for some reason!) I have bought a 60's style shift dress in black lace from H&M and I'm wearing red tights and black high heel mary janes. So there!!! You are all stressing me out with clothes talk. Oh, and I am going for glittery eyeliner!

Lilliput · 26/11/2008 11:16

Surely algach that was just a warm up for the 20th!

mawbroon · 26/11/2008 11:27

I bought a top last week for a rare night out, so I will just shove that on with the regulation black trousers.

I can't be arsed with glitz because it usually means wearing very little and freezing my arse off all night, so I am going for the sensible option.

But my charm and wit will more than make up for it.

prettybird · 26/11/2008 12:02

Of course it is Mawbroon!

Lilliput - my Mum & Dad were going to go to your dh's restuarant for the tasting meal but it was full!

They are looking forward to getting there again some other time.

nailpolish · 26/11/2008 12:48

prettybird · 26/11/2008 12:53

It does sound amazing - you'll look fab!

I'm now worried that what I was thinking of wearing will be positively middle aged (but then, I am middle aged! ;))

nailpolish · 26/11/2008 13:03

how can a dress with a split to the crotch be "middle aged"

aGalChangedHerName · 26/11/2008 13:06

A warm up Lilliput? Oh god i really want to behave lol. I am turning into a such a piss artist It's years od BFing and no booze that's done it you know!!

I am not getting really dressed up this year i don't think. Will wait and see what DH's bonus is like first before i commit myself to wearing anything in particular.

aGalChangedHerName · 26/11/2008 13:07

Lol NP i was just thinking that

prettybird · 26/11/2008 14:10

... but it is so well cut, you don't notice it!

Maybe I am just looking for an excuse to go and get a new outfit . I'll know if I still have a job by then, so whether I can justify spending the money.....

aGalChangedHerName · 26/11/2008 17:05

haha we may not notice it but we may all have a gawp now at your "up to your crotch" cut dress lol.

prettybird · 26/11/2008 17:32

BlushBlush

aGalChangedHerName · 26/11/2008 17:55

Awww PB i am only joking. You will look great i am sure!!!!

rookiemater · 26/11/2008 20:00

I am going to wear my nice new spotty wrap dress that I like to think is a bit Nigellaish ( i.e. low cut).

No crotch viewing unless it flaps open inappropriately as wrap dresses sometimes do.

You don't think a wrap dress is too middle aged ? ( It's not from Boden btw)

gomez · 26/11/2008 22:44

Hello All - still coming, busy studying and no fecking idea what I will be wearing. Nothing half as glam as you lot by the sound of things. Might need to get mu finger out.

See you all soon.

prettybird · 27/11/2008 08:54

You'll look great anyway Gomez.

I think people have got the wrong idea about my Nicle Farhi dress! It really is quite respectable!

prettybird · 30/11/2008 22:26

I've seen some really nice purple shoes n LK Bennet 9and if I were being pratical, the same desing in black) that would really help bring my outfit up-to-date (plus I have realised that all my shoes - both owrk and casual, really have seen better days ).

However, I'll have to leave it unitl the last minute before buying any new shoes as I'll need to wait until I have found out whether I am being made redundant ornot . The earliest I'll get an answer to that is week commencing 8 December - but it may still be going on w/c 15 December I'm going to be formally told that I am indivually at risk on Thursday (along with the enitre sales team)

And until we know for sure what my situation is, dh is in major lock down with regard to our finances. No Christmans shopping until after we have found out. So much for getting ahead with our Chrismtas preparations, which had been his heartfelt desire in the early autumn

bongosmum · 01/12/2008 21:23

hiya, just checking in...i don't have a meal choice for emmablether or butterfly. also, upwind are you coming?

aGalChangedHerName · 02/12/2008 13:44

Emmablether's computer has been down but i showed her the menu and she asked me to post it for her.

She wants the Soup to start, then turkey then Chocolate tart.

bongosmum · 04/12/2008 19:48

thank you. what about the other names?

aGalChangedHerName · 04/12/2008 22:35

Could you maybe start a thread for the other two?

Might be an idea?

It's very nice of you to do this btw
