Friendlypizzaeater · 16/10/2008 21:03

don't think I'm going anywhere ! Josh is sat on the settee at the side of me telling me he feels sick - there is a bug going round school and as soon as anyone is ill near him he gets it too .....

wotulookinat · 16/10/2008 22:36

My friend's little boy has been off school sick this week - and Dennis has been a bit off colour for a couple of days (not puking though) and another lady I met today said her little boy had been unwell too, so definately something going around. Hope he feels better soon x

twocutedarlings · 18/10/2008 18:34

Hi All,

Hope you ladies dont mind me gatecrashing this thread

Im thinking of having a run out to the mamas and papas factory outlet shop in huddersfield, have any of you been? is it anygood?

wotulookinat · 18/10/2008 18:53

I am afraid that I would not recommend it. I bought a buggy there last year. On it's third use (eachuse had been in an indoor shopping centre), one of the wheels ceased up. We took it back and were told we had got it clogged up with mud. We asked for a refund but 6 (yes 6!) member of staff stood around us as we were told that they didn't do refunds of exchanges.
We left having wasted the best part of £100, with a useless buggy and feeling threatened. I have refused to set foot in a Mamas and Papas store since.

twocutedarlings · 18/10/2008 19:31

My god how disappointing!!

Is it just pram/buggys that they do there, are do they do nursery furniture, bedding ect?

wotulookinat · 18/10/2008 20:00

It's a small shop, but there is furniture and everything else in it. There is a surprisinngly large amount of stuff in it - just keep your fingers crossed that whatever you buy doesn't break as they won't let you return it.

Friendlypizzaeater · 18/10/2008 20:07

Its a small shop but they do seem to have lots in. They also do a few toys but I didn't find them that much cheaper.

If U're coming from Sheff it will be quicker to loop round and jump off the M62 (tis the other side of Huddersfield)

twocutedarlings · 18/10/2008 22:01

Thanks WULA and FPE

i think a might take a run up there tomorrow.

DS1 not due till feb, but we are startin from scratch!! (dosey mare ere gave everything away) so they only thing i dont need is a cot!! and even that needs a new bloody materess !!

WULA - just out of interest what buggy did you buy?

soremummy · 18/10/2008 22:10

sorry hijack but DONT go there they are rubbish if a problem with stuff!I am getting rid of my moses basket/stand bought from proper m&p shop not factory one and loads of bits if your interested used for one baby only cat me if you want to im off to bed now as 5.30 comes around ooh so quick!

I bought a 3 wheeler from factory shop had it back 4 times in 6 weeks and its still not right. Please take note of the warnings and dont go there I swear I will never buy a thing from there again I spent nearly £1000 in the shop in Birdstall and £150 in the factory shop but their service is horrific.
