Does anyone else live in the Highlands?

I love in Moray and have only lived here for 2.5 years but am just starting to find my feet and wondering if there's anyone else around here who fancies a meet up?

okay - why don't we all list what days are best for us, with times and places we can go.

here's mine

Any Mon, Thurs or Fri mornings probably best, can do Inverness, Bumbles (near Brodie), or there's Runaround at Dingwall here's a link open Thursdays

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 13/08/2008 22:15

With warning I can do any morning, otherwise Wednesdays are best.

Inverness or Forres ideally but Dingwall's easy enough (and Runaround looks brilliant!)

Would love to fix a date in Sept and hopefully get it booked off work

Anyone near aviemore for the last week of August?

mamadiva · 15/08/2008 08:38

Hey yeah we need to get a date sorted! I have absolutely no idea how to get to Dingwall without a car!?!

Anyone would think we lived in a big place LOL.

How does Thursday 18th September suit everyone? That should give us plenty of time to get a place sorted.

Have just checked trains and there is one that leaves Elgin at 10.58 and gets to Dingwall at 1246, will anyone else be getting the train through with their LO?

I know you can get a bus to Forres to Bumbles... I just need to find out which one goes near LOL.

Is there any play areas in Inverness? That might be easier if it's somewhere surrounding area of train/bus station.

Do you know maybe I should get my arse in gear and open my own place in ELgin, something we are lacking! I have been thinking about it for a while now and I think trying to organise a meet up has made me realise that perhaps I should get it together and do it!!! Anyone know hlong it takes to set up a business am 21 just now would aim for about 25 I reckon.

dingwall seems an awful long way to travel for you, mamadiva.

If you started up your own business I think you'd be eligible for a business start-up loan from hie, or there may be a moray equivalent. I thought there was already a soft play in elgin?

I'd be ok for Thurs 18th, but maybe bumbles may be a better place to meet if everyone else drives?

mamadiva · 15/08/2008 10:00

There are a few inside other places like brewsters, bowl 2000, burger king and then you have the rainbow castle but thats not accessable really as it's a nursery too so only for a few hours at the weekend. I'd like to open a dedicated soft play IYKWIM. Nothing else just a big play area all the ones here are small and the one in the bowling well lets just say I wouldnt let a dog play in that ball pool

I'd prefer Bumbles. Well 18th it is so far just need to get everyone else on board!
