I love in Moray and have only lived here for 2.5 years but am just starting to find my feet and wondering if there's anyone else around here who fancies a meet up?

Two cats. Why...?

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/08/2008 22:34

Due to my line of work it's not impossible that we may have unknowingly met already ...

Off to bed now but will try to check out the planner at work tomorrow. Looking forward to a meet, with trepidation but I Will Be Brave .

Where's good? If the weather's nice we could do a picnic or something?

Wallace · 05/08/2008 07:26

Pets? only a dog, a snake, a hamster, tropical fish, and sort of a pony Why..?

I am pretty sure it is the 6th I am busy but I will have to check. It is a very good friend's 30th, and she is coming back from NZ. So I am presumiong the barbecue she has planned is on that day. On the off cHance I am wrong I'll let you know!

Tuesday mornings are good for me, twink

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 05/08/2008 10:02

I am hapy to do a day meet with children as well and it would be nice to try and do it in 2 weeks shen stitch is up. During the week after schools go back won't be so great for me as I will be worrying about getting back for dd but weekends are always fine.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 05/08/2008 19:49

Bugger it, I know realise stitch is up this month - was thinking it was Sept!

Anyway, name your date and I will do my best to see if I can wangle a day off.

mamadiva · 05/08/2008 22:00

Hello all, any date is good with me aslong as it's september. Would be up for either day or night, weekend or weekday although weekday would have to be with DS.

Why not the night out people? Would be fun!!!

Am a bit distraught today my dog died this morning so havent been on

Sorry to hear that mamadiva

Flier · 07/08/2008 12:50

sorry, this dropped off my "thread I'm on" and i forgot all about it.

I'd be up for a daytime meet, somewhee like whin park or bumbles play centre. Any mornings except Tues or Wed would suit me.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast - I know what you work as (i think)do you work near to Simpsons?

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 07/08/2008 20:18

Nope, Flier, but I know exactly where you're thinking of

Wallace · 07/08/2008 20:57

RC - do you work in GOS?

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 07/08/2008 20:59

[coy]

Twinklemegan · 07/08/2008 21:29

If you're not next to Simpsons then I won't know you Rosemary.

Twinklemegan · 07/08/2008 21:33

Whin Park might be good, unless it's wet and cold. How old are our various children? As I said, mine is just 2.

Bumbles Play Centre - is that the soft play place at the Inverness leisure centre?

If it's September I'll just make myself available any time. I'm due so much leave it's stupid and my project will be finished by then. Hey Wallace - I got the permanent job btw!

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 07/08/2008 21:39

DS is just over one and approaching walking and will not be held so ideally if we're to get any peace somewhere he can be chucked on the floor and left to it

I think Bumbles is near Forres somewhere. We could have an indoor and outdoor venue planned so we're not at the mercy of the weather (or wasting a moment of precious sunshine ). And August/September is fine for me but I do need a bit of warning for days off other than Wednesdays.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 07/08/2008 21:40

Is this where you mean?

mamadiva · 07/08/2008 21:49

My mum goes to Bu,bles alot with her twins group and they love it. I'd be happy with that if we are doing a daytime meet it can be anytime except between 21 and 27 August as I'm away. My DS turned 2 in June and he's a funny bugger with play areas sometimes so we'll need to see how he gets on but will give it a try

OP posts:
Twinklemegan · 07/08/2008 21:51

I'd never heard of it until Flier mentioned it (Forres is quite a long way from me). I was just thinking Inverness so assumed. Looks good though.

For that matter there's also Bogbain Farm on the A9 just south of Inverness [[http://www.bogbainfarm.com/ see here]. They have a good play barn and loads of outdoor stuff (possibly a bit bloke orientated but we like it) plus a decent coffee bit. But that might be too far for some?

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 07/08/2008 21:53

I guess most of us will not be bothered by a bit of travel (plus, DS sleeps in the car mostly ) - for me I can reasonably manage Inverness/Aviemore/Forres within an hour so pretty flexible.

Wallace · 08/08/2008 07:42

yey twink
Am I right RC? I prob don't know you anyway

I've never been to bumbles so that would be quite good.

Inverness has a brewer's fayre with a brewsters play bit. I think it is small, but it is mostly little ones we re thinking about, is it?

mamadiva · 08/08/2008 08:37

As long as I could get there by bus I'm fine. Because I don't know up here so would need to know where I'm going before I get the bus. There's a Brewsters here too.

OP posts:
Flier · 08/08/2008 17:15

Well I'd be up for a meetup at Bumbles. Can everyone who needs one get a bus there? How about Thursday 28th August at @10am?

Gotta start somewhere, eh?

Twinklemegan · 08/08/2008 20:56

I can't do Thursdays at all I'm afraid. I can only do Tuesdays if it's not too far away - sorry chaps.

Any other day is fine, but NOT in the next two weeks or you'll have a very stressed out Twinkle!

Wallace · 09/08/2008 06:23

Just found out I probably can do the 6th of Sept. Friend isn't back til the 8th!

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 09/08/2008 09:46

Bloody hell, I wonder what it's like when they have the London meet-ups ...

OK, I can also do most days with warning, so really September onwards (except Wednesdays, when I am always free). I can't do the weekend of the 6th or 27th though.

But if everyone else can do some time that I can't, fire away and I'll catch you all at the next one

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 09/08/2008 21:28

I haven't got online for a few days sorry.
I cannot travel as far as Forres/Elgin/Aviemore during the week after the 19th of August would feel to rushed to get back for DD coming out of school so Inverness would my limit really during term time during the week but could go anywhere at the weekends.
