I love in Moray and have only lived here for 2.5 years but am just starting to find my feet and wondering if there's anyone else around here who fancies a meet up?

My hen night is coming up soon as well so any of you can come to that too

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 01/08/2008 21:02

Easy now Ineeda, you haven't met us yet!

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 01/08/2008 21:10

Lol any excuse for a vodka or 6 and a naked man a quiet afternoon of tea and cucumber sandwiches.

I am actually just as high as a kite a hen night had never even occured to me until my friend asked for names and numbers of people to invite I am like a kid at christmas. I even found myself looking at fluffy cowboy hats and pink L plates in Matallan today

mamadiva · 02/08/2008 16:17

Hello everyone how are you all today? Weather has gone downhill hasn't it! PITA. Was working last night and didn't get up until 3pm today so am feeling rather sluggish I must say . Just on for a quickie the now to see what's been happening but I'll be on later if anyone wants to chat.

OOh Ineeda pink fluufy cowboy hats are class. Well a belated congrats on the engagement LOL.

It'd be easier for me if it was the weekend as DP is working through the week but if it's through the week I'll just be horrid and ditch DS in nursery

Only problem is I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it in August as am working next weekend, have a wedding 16th and am going to visit bloody MIL on 22nd. Would anyone be okay for the first week in September? I know it's a pain but I couldn't make it unless was through the week.

I like the pub hootenanny (sp) not that I get out much, just a suggestion if it is a pub meet.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 03/08/2008 09:34

I am fine for anytime shame Stitch won't make it cause she will be away home again.
Hootenanny is a good pub actually used to do nice lunches but not been for ages.

There are a few good places we could try acouple out

mamadiva · 03/08/2008 11:04

Fab. You lot know it better than me so I'll follow you guys . I think a pub meet is probably best as long as no one is driving of course. Trains for me but that's fine.

So beginning of September it is then. Shall we say Saturday 6th? Is this okay with everyone?

I will get back to you on that date, my friends are sorting out my hen night so will see what date they are thinking of.
I have just vetoed the stripper this morning I am not fancying oiling a strangers bare behind at all.

mamadiva · 03/08/2008 11:10

PSML @ stripper.

Oh go on girl enjoy yourself! Yes that's fine. Hope you enjoy your hen party!

You do realise that even though you have told them no you'll get one anyway. Just hope it's not some Danny Devito look alike

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 03/08/2008 17:12

Right my henny is on the 13th so I can con my MIL get a sitter and good for the 6th.

I better not get a stripper I have had a look through the local strippers website they are all about 19 and I would feel like a dirty old perv slapping a young bottom like that.
I am soooo not looking forward to it that is awful isn't it??? I am such a boring old woman now I am happy with my local and a wee dance not sure how I feel about being dressed up like candy floss and dragged around town lol.

mamadiva · 04/08/2008 10:33

Lazy you truly are off your head woman!

That's fab I'll get DP to babysit, I always say that why should has dad be 'babysitting' he's just doing what he's meant to do LOL.

Everyone else seems to have disappeared but we shall have to shout them back.

OP posts:
IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 04/08/2008 10:41

I do try
I am actually very quiet and demure .......honestly...no really I am

I know Dad shouldn't be babysitting I always say that too.

mamadiva · 04/08/2008 15:04

LMFAO.

I'm sure you are ahem quiet and
demented demure.

Will need to check actually I'll be getting the train so must ceck times and assume we'll meet somewhere near there if you lolt don't mind. I don't want to get lost in Inverness I've only been there twice.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 04/08/2008 16:07

I will probably get the train in as well even if I get the bus the bus station is only around the corner.
D'ya think everyone else has been scared off

Aefondkiss · 04/08/2008 21:26

I will get the train in too, from Forres... Hoots is stumbling distance from the train station.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/08/2008 21:30

Bugger it, am both working and invited to a dinner that weekend.

Will check North Tonight for updates on your progress though

Twinklemegan · 04/08/2008 21:34

Hello. I'm about half an hour from Inverness. I might be up for a meetup but tbh I'd probably chicken out of an evening do with a load of women I've never met.

I might prefer a daytime thing, maybe with kids - like at Whin Park or something?

But don't mind me, I'll follow the thread and decide from there.

Wallace · 04/08/2008 21:37

Twinkle - I'll go if you go

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/08/2008 21:38

We could have a mini daytime meet (later in the month, for stitch's benefit?) I can then book time off and have less likelihood of consuming silly amounts of alcohol and making an enormous fool of myself. Althought tbh I'm usually pretty successful at doing that while sober

Wallace · 04/08/2008 21:39

Oh dear, just seen you are talking about saturday 6th September. That is the one night in hte next 6 months (!) that I am booked up!

Twinklemegan · 04/08/2008 21:42

OK, it's a deal (I think).

I've not forgotten we were going to meet up again btw but I've had literally no time off work since we last "spoke". However... I do now have Tuesday mornings off with DS - I don't know if that's any good for you? Somewhere like BB maybe?

Twinklemegan · 04/08/2008 21:44

X-posted. Not to worry. I'm liking RosemaryConley's daytime meet idea - I'm planning to finally take some leave in September as well so I might even manage a weekday - yippee!

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/08/2008 21:47

Well I don't work Wednesdays but with prior warning I should be able to take most days off except some Fridays (it's complicated ...!). How old are your kids BTW? DS is a tiddly 1 year old but can be abandoned with someone else if required

Twinklemegan · 04/08/2008 22:09

Mine and Wallace's are 2. I'd love to meet your one year old.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/08/2008 22:20

OK, well, will we wait and see if stitch reappears? I am planning myself some time off for me so I'll maybe plan to take a few days w/b 18th Sept and be around for any potential gathering then, unless that doesn't work for someone.

Absolutely terrified about "outing" myself!

BTW, do either of you (Twinkle or Wallace) have any pets ...?
