sorry I missed you...especially sorry to Mybabysinthegarden

we were all set to leave in the car when I realised the buggyboard was at my mums and as soon as I got there to pick that up there was an astonishing toddler meltdown

we ended up on the front at silverknowes and the toddler managed to go puddle diving anyway (off a trike) so maybe I was there in spirit?

see you all at a child free meet up maybe?

was the show busy/visible..I might go later in the week if its suitable

Hiya Bookswapper, the show was visible and good, the guy was quite funny and the dc all seemed to like it. (The older ones joined in). My ds walked straight up to the performer and ran away crying as soon as he spoke to him! LOL Def worth going to if the weather is dry!

Oh! Purplemonkey now I recognise your name and think I've seen you on Facebook. Going for a mooch there and will send you a message.

What's this about Marti Pellow jumping out on you Pruners??

mawbroon · 11/08/2008 19:42

ds STILL not in bed

Shitemum · 11/08/2008 22:50

Hi all, it was nice to meet you today and a shame the skies opened just when we were settling down for a chat!
My DD2 also crashed out much later after gorging herself on raisins all the way home and I had to spend ages getting her to sleep at bedtime...
If anyone wants to meet again I am here till the 2nd of September...

bookswapper - I may return to the Botanics this week if we get a nice day. The show runs till Friday at least and was fun. Everyone was just sat on the lawn, there was plenty of room and the option of moving closer if the sightlines weren't good. Give me a shout if you want company...

Sofiele - if you happen upon this thread, it's a shame you didn't make it, would still like to know what you've heard about Stockbridge and Flora's primaries.

Hi all

Aww you all sound like you had great time even with the weather being crap. So sorry to have missed it

DD's have not been sick today (yet) so we are packed up and ready to go to the cottage tomorrow.

Hope to see you all at the next meet up xx

mybabysinthegarden · 12/08/2008 08:55

Hi all, well after the monsoon we had a gloriously sunny drive all the way back to the Borders (shakes fist at sky) It was really nice to see everyone and hope no-one has woken up with pneumonia.

thanks nailpolish! (Glad I managed to maintain the illusion before getting coated in dd's bright orange cracker crumbs on the way home...)

maybe see you at the next (childfree?) one bookswapper?

liath · 12/08/2008 15:09

My folks live in the borders, mybabysin thegarden, and the number of times I phjone them to whinge about the weather here only to be told they're sitting in glorious sunshine.....grrrr! Whereabouts are you?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 12/08/2008 20:14

i was going to come one here and say that I'm taking DS to see a show at the fringe next monday and did anyone want to come along BUT i just checked and tickets are sold out.

(oooh, check me. I've been to ONE proper meet up and now i'm inviting people out. tart.)

mybabysinthegarden · 12/08/2008 23:28

Ah, but it cuts the other way too, liath! I am in (braw) Gala.
