i would too!

DS has a weird mix of mostly canadian with some scots and a bit of peppa pig.

mawbroon · 11/08/2008 09:01

Well, we are coming. It's a bit windy here, but ds is running around the ceiling this morning and needs out!

liath - was going to ask if you wanted to get the bus together, but see you are walking!

I know several of you, so the ones that I know will know me. But for others who I haven't met, I am wee with short dark hair (except for a bit of white at the front). DS is 2.10 and unless he has an accident, will be wearing fawn colour jogging bottom type things. He refuses to wear anything other than soft clothes just now!! DS may or may not be i na back carrier.

naily - flasks rock! I'll be bringing mine as well. [skint too]

lillee · 11/08/2008 09:24

Morning ladies, weather sounds ok over there then? SirDigby can meet you at the station at 12 if were still up for that?

Don't have flask (sob) hate being the odd one out!

Haven't met any of you before so quick description is:

me - frazzled looking brunette going white at the front, wearing jeans and prob blue coat ds - 20mths dark and long haired boy with big brown eyes. Has just had accident with banana so can't tell you what he'll be wearing yet!! will be on foot (the child I mean) if not in my arms as he will not entertain sitting in a buggy and can no longer be folded into one!!!

mawbroon · 11/08/2008 09:27

lillee - I have a small and a big flask. The big one is 1.2L! I will bring the big one and an extra cup.

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 11/08/2008 09:31

lovely! will meet you there! (waverley, right?)

lillee · 11/08/2008 09:31

Aw mawbroon that's lovely of you, thank you!

Descriptions not very good, put couple of pics of ds on profile just now so might be a bit easier to recognise?

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 11/08/2008 09:33

i've checked the buses as well and it doesn't seem that bad (especially if we're both buggy-less) but we can decide at the time.

lillee · 11/08/2008 09:34

Hey SirDigby! Yes Waverley at 12 is great, any particular part of the station/landmark?

lillee · 11/08/2008 09:35

Fine by me, either way just easier than walking when toddler in tow! LOL

nailpolish · 11/08/2008 09:36

prune dont grrr

ds' accent is adorable! i love it!

i am about 4 feet tall with long brown hair. silver flip flops black hoodie with short sleeves and baggy jeans. frazzled expression, mad look in eye (includign the ones in the back of my head taht i frequently use) and loud shouty voice. 2 girls aged 5 and 3 who will probably be running in opposite directions from me shouting "hide hide! itll be fun! she'll never find us!"
i will carry a black and white bag with bottle of gin er, sorry tea and biscuits

ill come round to the east gate at 1230

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 11/08/2008 09:44

lillee - i'm trying to think what would be easiest... there's always so many people just standing around in waverley...

how about i'll be on the left side (facing away from the trains) by the exit. you know where that little roundabout thingy is?

lillee · 11/08/2008 10:41

Ok will look for you there, what colour you wearing? I've got on a long brown thingy with green top underneath and jeans prob looking a bit scruffy!! Hair up in clip and is brown and curly. Need to leave now for train in town. See you there!!!

mawbroon · 11/08/2008 16:13

Hi everyone. I hope you have dried out!

Can you believe that I got home and if it has rained here, then it can't have been much as my washing was bone dry!

That will teach me not to just put my own postcode into the met office website!

It was a shame that we didn't really get to blether much.

My ds zonked about 15 mins from home and is now asleep on my knee. Bang goes a 7pm bed time for him!

nailpolish · 11/08/2008 16:16

we are just out of the bath. the mud has clogged the plughole

the dds had the best time rolling about in the puddles. liath dd2 is already asking when your dd can come and play!

sorry i didnt get a proper chat with everyone. its always the same at these things - esp when you have the bairns with you

mybabysinthegarden - you are looking super well!

Hi ladies, just got home and got us both showered and changed, ds was soaked through from practically swimming in the puddles. He passed out on the way home too so will be a battle to get him down for 7 as well Mawbroon.

Mawbroon thanks for the tea, it was great to get a cuppa especially in that weather!

Was lovely to meet everyone, as you have said not much chance to blether but I'm sure if the weather had been better that would have been easier, or at least we'd have hung about a bit.

SirDigby I owe you bus fare!! forgot to get it for you before we departed.

Thanks for letting a weegie crash your meet up, really enjoyed it - we both did.

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 11/08/2008 17:01

we're just home!

Had a lovely time. was great to be able to put some faces to names on here. I didn't catch most of your RL names though!

I have to appologize. i'm terribly shy in groups like that so felt a little out of my depth. Glad i was able to chat a bit thogh!

lillee - no worries about the busfare. you can buy the tea next time i'm in town!!

DS fell asleep on the train home. he's now in a foul tired mood and probably won't go to bed until late, which means I'm stuck with him! Such fun!

nailpolish · 11/08/2008 17:03

dont apologise!

come to a child free meet up and we can chat more next time

we h ave loads and they are great fun

Just out of the bath here, too! Dd decided that the number 8 bus was a perfect place to strip off her wet clothes . Thanks so much for your help mawbroon!!

I reckon dd would love a playdate, NP - preferably somewhere enclosed with 10 foot high fences round it .

Sorry we didn't get much of a chance to chat but I enjoyed the show and sprinting after vanishing children was great exercise......

lillee · 11/08/2008 17:16

SirDigby do you have CAT? Should have given you my moby but didn't think (don't think I've done very well in that dept all day tbh!).

LOL at Liath's dd stripping on the bus! Was mawbroon encouraging or just holding the wet clothing?

Meant to say before, hope you enjoy the rest of your stay shitemum
