Anyone up for a drinky-poos in BIRMINGHAM?

I've just seen the Brighton piss-up thread and thought - oooo, that'd be nice.

Anyone else fancy meeting up in Birmingham for a meal/drink/whatever one evening?

I'll happily organise, so now we need dates. We could go for August/September time or earlier.

Any takers?

TABLE BOOKED in the name of Mumsnet at 7pm on Friday 5th September. I've booked for six but will update as and when needed.

It's looking very unlikely that I can make it, with DH being away, but I will if I can.

I've just spotted this thread again - went off "threads I'm on" ages ago.

I might be able to go, depending on transport etc. DS now sleeps 6-10/12 but I don't drive... Must chase fellow-mumsnetting SIL who lives round the corner. Will confirm ASAP

Sorry - definitely not coming. Life is conspiring against me at the moment and not only is DH going away on business but my Mum is very ill atm and I may have to move home with my parents for a couple of weeks when she gets home from hospital.

Sorry ladies. Have a fab night and a glass of wine or two for me.

But if you can face it all again I am most certainly up for a meet any day next week if you would want to get dcs together?

My ds if off to nursery school the week after so it's going to be my last week of softplay hell .

T'was me I was late (scan ran over so photoshoot ran over) and worried, then they said no one was there yet I thought maybe I had it wrong and it was 7:30, but at 7:30 they told me it was 7 and that's when they called you. They were so apologetic! They said did I want to look around in case they'd not booked in under the name, but I didn't think that would have happened because then we'd end up in a situation like I was in.

Very sad not to meet you all after all.

Sounds good, that's where we were yesterday with the Baby Magnet (aka camera). I did an interview with a freelance journalist and she's got a couple of people interested in running the story so yesterday was pictures for one of them. Great fun coming down the blue slide about 5 times in a row and then she said "can you just walk up to the first bump and we'll do some posed instead?" Yeah, I'm pregnant and my back kills! Going to have to do it all again soon when the others want pictures.

TBD was going to meet with my parents for dinner out so they picked me up on the way. Not quite the same though, eating with a sleepy toddler wrapped around you. I think she was worn out because she was asleep just after 5 and she only woke up for food, even that wasn't properly awake then she slept till almost 9am this morning making her dad late for going to London.
