New mums in the Wakefield (West Yorkshire) Area

Hi, looking to contact new mums in the area for email chats, friendship and social outings/meet ups?

Just had my first baby 4 weeks ago, and although I absolutely love her to bits, I think I will crawl up the walls if I don't get some other sort of stimulation in the near future. It would be nice to speak to other new mums to discuss the joys and frustrations of motherhood, and anything else you want to talk about. It would also ne nice to have a reason to get out of the house with the little one. My Hv/midwife were not very useful when I asked about mum/baby groups.

Hope to hear from you!

Could do Thurs/Fri/Sat, but not Tuesday . Will be up for any further ones though!

Would you be travelling by bus Somebody? If so there should be a bus that goes to the bus station and Cheeky Monkeys is 5 mins from there if that. I don't know how much it is. Yorkiegirl might know.

I'll check it out for you.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 15:59

I think you need the 116 or 118 from dewsbury bus station. The number for arriva is 0870 6082608. I would give them a ring to check times and where the bus will drop you off.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 18:01

Are you here yet YG?
Is that info ok for you Somebody?
Just want to keep the thread going to see if anyone else can make it.

I think it does but I'm not sure how much.

BubblesDeVere · 19/01/2005 18:53

NBG, that would be great if you could meet me. We could meet at wakefield bus station.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 18:55

Ok. If we are still meeting at 1 then I could meet you about 12:40. Will have to wear a silly hat or something so you know who I am!

Yeah no problem somebody. I had a good luck on the web and I can't find anything on Cheeky Monkeys. However I looked on the playdayz site which is the other place we mentioned and that was £2.50 per child for 1hr and 30 mins and adults with babies are free but I'm not sure what Cheeky monkeys is like. It could be a similar sort of thing.

Can you meet us at the bus station aswell MazA? There is a car park at the back of the station. So if we all meet outside the Bakers oven inside the bus station at 12:45.
Sorry you can't make it now Yorkiegirl.
I was thinking of starting a new thread for another meetup next month, what do you think?
See you all then.

See you at 12.45 outside the bakers oven, how will we all recognise each other, unless of course, we are all wearing Mumsnet t-shirts.

Newbarnsleygirl · 22/01/2005 17:48

I haven't got one of those! Like I said before I have a burgandy 3 wheel pushchair with a black cosy toe on it. DD will be holding a mucky blanket with a knot in it!
What do you all look like or what are your pushchairs like etc?
I'll get funny looks off people asking them if they're Bubblesdevere, somebody or MazArnold!!!
