New mums in the Wakefield (West Yorkshire) Area

Hi, looking to contact new mums in the area for email chats, friendship and social outings/meet ups?

Just had my first baby 4 weeks ago, and although I absolutely love her to bits, I think I will crawl up the walls if I don't get some other sort of stimulation in the near future. It would be nice to speak to other new mums to discuss the joys and frustrations of motherhood, and anything else you want to talk about. It would also ne nice to have a reason to get out of the house with the little one. My Hv/midwife were not very useful when I asked about mum/baby groups.

Hope to hear from you!

I do remember the last time I went to macdonalds in wakefield there was a ball pool for the kids.

I've managed to get back on for 5 mins. How about cheeky monkees then? Yorkiegirl said that's in Wakefield. I think leeds would be ok if we were in the city centre but I don't think theres much to do there.

I'm ok for the 25th or any other day tbh. However there is a possibility might have to drop out last minute if dh gets rushed out to work. I'll rely on him for a lift.

MazArnold · 13/01/2005 14:51

I'm alright for the 25th at Cheeky Monkees.......

How is 25th for everyone else and is wakefield a bit easier to get to? Yorkiegirl can you give directions or name of road it's on please?
I've posted on the other thread (dewsbury, leeds, huddersfield) and mentioned it on there but I don't know if any have picked it up.
How are you today MazArnold?

Newbarnsleygirl · 13/01/2005 16:55

Will have to go again and probably won't get on until tues/wed. It's my first wedding anniversary on Monday!!!!!! But can someone CAT me on details if anthing gets finalised. I don't want to miss out! Thank you.

doggiewalker · 13/01/2005 17:03

You lucky girls. Hope you have a lovely meet. (I'm originally from Ossett if any of you know it).

MazArnold · 13/01/2005 17:44

Hi NBG - OK today thanks for asking. DD was a little so and so last night again, but DH took over when he got in later on and saved the day! He let me get 9 hours sleep last night which was most gratefully received. I owe him.

I'm happy to CAT you with details once we are sorted. Have a lovely anniversary - Don't do anything I wouldn't!

That would probably be ok for me too as DH is off work and can collect dd1.

I've been trying, with no luck, to find directions, ifs its not too far from town centre it would be great.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 08:57

I've looked all over to find the address but not found it. If we keep the thread going Yorkiegirl will eventually see it. She knows where it is.

gingerbear · 19/01/2005 09:01

is this the Cheeky Monkeys you meant?

BubblesDeVere · 19/01/2005 09:06

Gingerbear, yes that is the one, I'm just trying to figure out how to get there from the town centre. Not very good at directions though.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 09:46

Do you know where Lightwaves is Bubbles? It's right next to it by the looks of that map. So your near the bus station and not so far from the kirkgate train station.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 09:56

How are you getting there Bubbles? I can meet you somewhere and walk up with you if you want as I know where it is now.

Newbarnsleygirl · 19/01/2005 12:58

So who is coming so far?

How did the fund raising night go? I would imagine it was successful.
We can arrange another one for weekend or monday next month.
