Does anybody know anywhere quiet where we can actually hear each other talking.

Otherwise, I will have to bring this with me

aGalChangedHerName · 09/03/2008 22:06

Yeah MB somewhere we can hear each other talking would be nice lol.

NP seems to know all the good places?

mawbroon · 09/03/2008 22:13

Yes, she does.

I am really a bit out of date you know. Town has always been too trendy for me. I am more of a spit and sawdust gal.

aGalChangedHerName · 09/03/2008 22:15

Yes shes very trendy is Nailpolish eh?

DH said he could help choose somewhere

God only knows what kind of shit hole we'd end up in lol

aGalChangedHerName · 10/03/2008 14:45

Are we eating/drinking or just getting pissed??

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 14:48

er, id rahter just have drinks. food can be £££££

but ill go with the flow

OP posts:
aGalChangedHerName · 10/03/2008 14:50

I was thinking the same thing NP. We are always pretty skint and mindee i have doesn't pay during Easter break so we will be extra skint.

I'd rather eat before i come out but i will go with the flow too.

prettybird · 10/03/2008 15:53

I still can't make it even if you move it to the 19th as I will still be on holiday in South Africa

But waht I can do is join you in the Scottish diet. I'd done really weel while dh was in Australia justb efore we went off sckiing and managed to lose nearly a stone - got dwon to 10 Stone 7lb.

But since then I have been stuffing my face and I am sure I am back over 11 stone (daren't weigh myslef) - but I'd like to get back to 10St 7lb by the time I go off to SA on 4 April. So I neeeeed support!

Lilliput - mum and dad were talking about your dh's new venture last week - they were really excited about the fact that was "in business" again!

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 15:56

omg PB you do not need to lose weight! get awa with yerself

OP posts:
nailpolish · 10/03/2008 15:56

christ if you are overweight then im a hippo

OP posts:
prettybird · 10/03/2008 16:06

You're a skiiny wee tihng - in the nicest possible way!

I "dress up" well - but until I can into all my Size 12 clothes comfortably I'd like to have a target of geting back to 10.5 stone! (actually 10stone untlimately - but I am being realisitc! )

Having said that, I have just been and bought a Kit kat and packet of fruit pastilles from the machine at work

gomez · 10/03/2008 16:14

Right PB and NP you are not allowed to diet -'tis official 'cause I said so.

Agalch I too weighed myself this morning and the news was not good. I am aiming to ditch 10lbs for the 19th April and hence be able to wear some clothes I currently own as opposed to buying some new fat burd ones! The challenge is on . If it stops raining I might get out on my bike at the weekends which will help.

Don't mind where we meet - a bit out of Town if we want quiet as opposed to George Street trendyness. I'll post some ideas when I have more time.

Cheerio

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:14

i look like a 3 yr old with a pot belly

my biggest fault is bread. i could get through a whole bloomer in one sitting

OP posts:
nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:15

im shit at dieting anyway
cos diets include no wine

OP posts:
aGalChangedHerName · 10/03/2008 16:19

The weigh in was awful boo hoo,but all my own fault.

If i have counted right we have 6 weeks? On past experience i could probably lose 10/12lbs.

So here goes no wine for 6 weeks, never mind can have bacardi/vodka and diet drinks.

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:22

we could always meet in the Agenda (at the bottom of my hill!)
not much atmosphere though
or leith? dh and i were in leith for valentines and it was very sedate.

OP posts:
prettybird · 10/03/2008 16:28

But Gomez - I don't want to buy new clothes eeeeithhherrrrr

....and I would like to be able to wear the same pair of shorts in the Game reserve that I wore when I was there on my honeymoon 10 years ago!

SO I am going to join in!

(BTW NP - I can eat 3 creme eggs in quick succession and still have some room for some mini eggs or a rolo egg! )

aGalChangedHerName · 10/03/2008 16:28

No atmosphere might be boring? Am clueless about Leith as i am everywhere in Edinburgh. Ignore me!!

aGalChangedHerName · 10/03/2008 16:30

I will have to go out all day this week and do "fun stuff" with dd's and mindees or i will start to snack. Ds1 has been off studying today and has been mooching around the kitchen(cooked himself a bloody fry up too) so have managed not to stuff my face.
