Wish i didn't have one his age tonight tbh. He is in a bad mood and not being very nice to his gf. Want to slap him for being rude to her

Good job he's nice most of the time!!

liath · 16/04/2008 21:54

Hello ladies!

Could I come along too?? I'm doing a breast-feeding buddies course with Mawbroon and it'd be lovely to meet some Edinburgh MNers.

mawbroon · 16/04/2008 21:59

More the merrier liath!

Gosh agalch, it must be so hard not to say anything to your ds Would saying somethign make him worse you think?

aGalChangedHerName · 17/04/2008 07:57

Prob make it worse if i say anything tbh but i gave him a bollocking this morning!! He says he doesn't know what gets into him when he's like that. He will apologise to her of course but i hate seeing her upset.

God there's going to be loads of us at this meet up. Still nothing to wear!!

mawbroon · 18/04/2008 15:04

LuXander - did you get in touch with nailpolish? Hope so, don't want anybody missing out on the fun! The last one was such a good laugh.

LuXander · 18/04/2008 15:24

Hi Mawbroon, I have her mobile number.
Really looking forward to meeting you all, although a little nervous as dd (1) is not sleeping very well at moment, so may arrive late/ get called away, if dxp has problems. We're both determined that I should at least be attempting to get a life though...!

mawbroon · 18/04/2008 15:56

Cool, glad you got that sorted LuXander.

Don't worry if you get called away. DH summoned me from a lovely lunchtime meet up a while back when ds was unwell, and the others thoroughly enjoyed scoffing my dessert for me.

What are we all going to wear? I will be my usual unadventurous self with jeans and a top. I got some new sandal things at the weekend, but my feet look like shite so they are probably the wrong thing to wear. Face, bovvered?

nailpolish · 18/04/2008 15:58

its a satyurday night in hte west end - im wearing a skirt and heels

nailpolish · 18/04/2008 15:59

oh god yes i sitll have the pdding sitting on my hips mawbroon

OP posts:
LuXander · 18/04/2008 16:20

Aarrgh! May have to do panicked wardrobe search to work out what fits! Haven't really been out without dd, so 'dressing up' criteria for last year has been 'easily washable and easy access to boobs'!

nailpolish · 18/04/2008 16:28

luxander, dont get stressed about what to wear!

OP posts:
LuXander · 18/04/2008 17:33

Ok, jeans and a top it is... I know they fit, therefore no stress!

aGalChangedHerName · 18/04/2008 18:15

LuXander i don't know what i am wearing either. I do have a skirt and DH says i should dress up but will more than likely wear jeans. My legs are crap!!

Lilliput · 18/04/2008 18:16

I'm wearing a very safe and flattering dress over jeans combo(although on another thread this was deeemed to be very 2007 ) with fab red shoes and a Gok inspired scarf. My kids are going to my parents earlier than I expected so I am going to take my time, have a bath, do nails, hair, moisturise, so this means I won't have to get changed at yours NP. More wine drinking time me thinks .

nailpolish · 18/04/2008 18:30

id LOVE to wear a dress over jeans
but i look shit in it being such a short arse

red shoes rock!

OP posts:
mawbroon · 18/04/2008 18:41

We will all look braw ladies, whatever we wear.

Lilliput · 18/04/2008 19:46

I'm actually wearing the red shoes I got married in .

aGalChangedHerName · 18/04/2008 19:57

Another short arse here too. I blardy hate clothes shopping!!!

Lilliput · 18/04/2008 20:18

We should all agree to wear a fleece, no make-up, tesco value elasticated waist jeans and crocs. What do you think .

aGalChangedHerName · 18/04/2008 20:30

Lol After a couple of glasses of wine (ahem or cups of tea) we won't care what we are wearing i'm sure!!

Lilliput · 18/04/2008 20:41

Usually after a few drinks my make up is half way down my face and I look like shite.
Oooh I can't wait for tomorrow night .
No, I didn't say that, I am going to behave myself, I am staying with a fellow mumsnetter and must be good.

mawbroon · 18/04/2008 20:57

Lilliput - it's a deal. Means that I wouldn't have to get changed to go out!

Actually, truthfully, you have described my day wear to a tee!

aGalChangedHerName · 18/04/2008 21:59

Sounds about right for me too actually. Except i'm wearing paint splattered jeans cos i was dd1's nursery helper today and i couldn't be arsed to change after it

liath · 18/04/2008 22:10

Oh heck I'm going to have to find some clothes that don't have snot trails all over them, aren't I?

I'm getting quite excited

mawbroon · 18/04/2008 22:11

Did you get my email liath? Want a lift?
