I have no idea about clapham either. 7.30 about right for me to. hopefully page62 will have some suggestions for venue.....

CristinaTheAstonishing · 18/04/2008 11:17

Can someone give me a ring if you're in the pub so I can join you: 07946 165 726. I'll be away now and might not read later. Thanks.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 18/04/2008 11:18

Peasoup - I don't know anyone else either.

legalalien · 18/04/2008 11:31

cristina - yep I will (or if I can't make it will give you an update on where things have got to on this thread re meeting for a drink)

Page62 · 18/04/2008 11:44

the abbeville pub is on the same road -- very nice pub (about 5 doors away) - so very much recommended!

Hallgerda · 18/04/2008 11:59

Thanks - I'll try to get there around 7.30, No. 417 bus permitting.

legalalien · 18/04/2008 12:02

me too (no 37 bus permitting in my case)

peasoup · 18/04/2008 12:33

ok, me too. How will I know who to approach?!!!

legalalien · 18/04/2008 12:39

it's times like this that I wish I were less non-descript. I'm about 5 foot 6, middlesized and have darkish brown bobbed hair. And red glasses with rectangular frames. and carrying a black post-bag looking satchel with a buckle on the side

Hallgerda · 18/04/2008 12:49

Nice description of me in second paragraph of Chapter 1 Actually, I've acquired a bit of grey hair since then

Seriously, I have long light brown hair going grey, green eyes, bushy eyebrows and will be wearing a black coat and green scarf.

bossykate · 18/04/2008 14:55

sorry everyone, won't get there until probably about 8.15pm as i will be coming straight from choir. um, highlighted hair in a bob and will be wearing a brown grecian ish dress (if i can still get into it ) and brown suede boots.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 18/04/2008 15:16

Thanks, Legal.

I'm 5'7", brown hair & eyes. I don't know what I'll be wearing as I can't fit into too many nice clothes - DD2 is 7 months old and i rejoined WeightWatchers on Wednesday but it hasn't had a big effect yet

peasoup · 18/04/2008 17:25

Mustardy coloured shirt, brown cords, brown boots...not able do dressing up nicely at such short notice as all clothes still in boxes!!(just moved back in to house after building work) Greyish coat, greeny scarf. Think Autumn!

bossykate · 18/04/2008 17:28

actually, what name is the table booked under? that would probably be more help in tracking people down

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 18/04/2008 18:03

bossykate that is what I just came on to ask for ma sis.

bossykate · 19/04/2008 00:47

to all those who are interested in a book club - thanks so much and please CAT me!

especially warm regards to ineedaetcetc's sister for her patience and kindness re the inevitable babies, toddlers, schools (primary & secondary), what happened 3 minutes ago on mumsnet conversations. would love to see you at book club if we could actually make it happen!

ineedaetcetc - we grilled her on why you didn't actually just simply get a cleaner... and she told us all

just kidding

thanks so much to all of you for a wonderful evening

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 19/04/2008 13:54

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 19/04/2008 20:59

See now I am wondering if I should be insulted that I wasn't talked about.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 20/04/2008 09:54

I had a great time too. Thanks for organising this.

I'm interested in the book club- if we can make the meeting in a pub or cafe (so not an expensive night if it's on a regular basis).

Aussiecat · 20/04/2008 20:27

Hi all,

Ditto to the ealier comments about a great evening - such a pleasure to meet so many interesting people around the dinner table. Tks to Page62 for organising the meet up.
BossyKate - a book club sounds great - count me in

Hallgerda · 21/04/2008 10:05
