i have booked newtons

Hallgerda · 28/03/2008 09:21

Is there room for another? If so, I'd like to come.

foundtheclock · 28/03/2008 13:44

Can I come? (tentatively)

I bring with me the ability to order food in Japanese and explain everything on the menu.

foundtheclock · 28/03/2008 13:49

sorry just read the thread through, hadn't realised the venue change. I guess my skills would be irrelevant. I'll try and confirm soon.

legalalien · 28/03/2008 14:19

still ok for me as well

Hallgerda · 28/03/2008 15:16

I'm sure everyone would be terribly impressed and entertained by you ordering food and explaining the menu in Japanese, foundtheclock. Particularly if it was tripe or spotted dick or something else of that nature

foundtheclock · 28/03/2008 16:53

"spotted dick" in Japanese... mmmm...

Anyway turns out I can't make it. Shame.

bossykate · 28/03/2008 17:00

QuintessentialShadows · 31/03/2008 07:29

Ooohhh. I will be with you in spirit. Have fun, and drink a bottle for me, too!

Hallgerda · 31/03/2008 09:44

Thanks, Page62

AtheneNoctua, you may be able to solve a little mystery for me. I went on a bird walk on Tooting Common at the weekend, and was told that there had been a male Little Owl round there between October and mid-March, but then a female had appeared and they had flown off into the moonlight and not been seen again. Aha! I thought. That coincides with the arrival of a female Little Owl on here...

So - have you been hooting in Tooting? If it was you, as it's the breeding season and beating about bushes is not the done thing, I'll get to the point.

What have you done with him, you jezebel?

AtheneNoctua · 31/03/2008 09:52

Pity you can't come, foundtheclock. You are of course most welcome!! Maybe next time.

I know nuthin' bout hooting in tooting!!!

And I am definitely not one for beating round bushes.

Hallgerda · 31/03/2008 10:28

I'm very relieved to hear that, AtheneNoctua

(Tech - why can't I get binoculars for my emoticons?)

CristinaTheAstonishing · 06/04/2008 12:05

Where is Newtons?

Hallgerda · 06/04/2008 16:47
