is it really called tsunami?

Page62 · 20/02/2008 09:27

yes rather unfortunate name, but great japanese food (the service is sometimes a bit on and off mainly due to big success but latest squaremeal review says all good again). Husband and I have eaten there maybe 4x and have always enjoyed it.

eleusis · 22/02/2008 08:46

Just keep the thread active here.

bumping this as well.

too early to book the restaurant (eager beaver!) but am sure it should be fine.

i can't believe it, i posted on an AIBU thread -- on a topic i normally walk away from (...this one is a CM judging mums who leave their DCs in care even when they have a few hours spare coming home early from work - cause surely you want to do EVERYTHING wtih them). agggggggggggggggggggh

i need a drink and it is only 10 am.

roll on meetup.

eleusis · 25/02/2008 09:38

I saw that thread too. She was very smug and well and truly out of line. But, by the time I had seen the thread, lots of other people had already said what I would have.

oh goody, glad you could join us CristinatheAstonishing (phew)

CristinaTheAstonishing · 28/02/2008 16:16

It's a bit of a long name, I know, but my previous one was considered too boring.

bossykate · 28/02/2008 16:17

what was your previous name?

CristinaTheAstonishing · 28/02/2008 16:19

Cristina7 (for 7th Feb, my birthdate).

CristinaTheAstonishing · 28/02/2008 16:20

BTW current name is from a Nick Cave song, I'm not that big-headed. And in fact it doesn't suit me IRL as I'm v unassuming.

bossykate · 28/02/2008 16:20

ah! thanks

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/03/2008 21:35

Sorry - will no longer be able to join you. Have booked a last minute holiday in a cottage in Wales with 4 other mums and various assorted kids, for a week of the Easter holidays.

Will look forward to the next one!

QuintessentialShadow · 03/03/2008 21:36

I am afraid I am going to miss it, leaving this green isle behind on 28th March.

Page62 · 04/03/2008 12:03

oh, have a fantastic new life Quinty! (ooh, do you like my nickname for you)
i am imagining your DS crossing that brook to school in this magical enchanted forest...sigh

in the meantime, i will be on here, being crucified for being a working mum, owning a 4x4, having used formula at some point, sending DD to private school, having a nanny etc etc

mumsnet can really crush one's self esteem if you let it. am off to get a gin and tonic

legalalien · 04/03/2008 12:12

ah, but page62 you don't drive the 4x4. I am sure that counts as a saving grace!

Page62 · 04/03/2008 12:22

yes, perhaps. DH was having a mid life crisis. it was either that or an affair. i let him have the car.

QuintessentialShadow · 04/03/2008 13:53

I am going to drive a 4X4
My dads 12 year old trusty Mitsubishi Pajero.

Total necessity there.

eleusis · 04/03/2008 17:24

I'm confused becaueimworthit. Easter is in March and this meet-up is in April. How can the two conflict?

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 04/03/2008 18:42

Because our school doesn't break up for the Easter HOlidays until 4 April!

So we have the Easter weekend and the bank holidays, then they go back to school for a couple of weeks, then they break up.

eleusis · 04/03/2008 20:20

Okay, now why do you call that break "Easter Holiday"?

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 05/03/2008 00:17

Er ... because it is traditionally their Easter holiday?

What else should we call it?!
