either the 17th or the 20th March..........Courthey park, they do some lovely activities. We could even do a picnic if the weather is anything like it was at jaamy's bash!!!

would you join me???

heifer has even said she may join us

maisiedaisy · 27/02/2008 21:32

I can do both.
Thanks for sorting this out

stoppinattwo · 28/02/2008 07:25

ok...........i think most are flexible enough to do both, I think we have the place from 10.30 till 11.30 and then maybe we could have our picnic (weather permitting)so jaamy doesnt manage to skive off . - it leaves the 2.00pm slot for the general public riff raff I will phone them tomorrow to confirm for the 10.30am slot.

Hi, I haven't been on the p.c. for a while, kids have taken it over!

The funeral on Tuesday went as well as could be expected, the girls were o.k., dd2 was sobbing at the ceremony but seemed fine later on at the get-together, they stayed in my brother's car for the actual burial though.

There were so many people there, dh was very strong and mingled with his long lost relatives, my sister-in-law (grr) got very drunk and made a complete show of herself and her husband and got dragged home and we eventually got home at 9pm! It all doesn't seem real yet, dh isn't talking about things either and I'm worried about him.

Hope everyone is o.k., I might not be posting much but I'll keep up with the thread .xxx

Oh, Jammy, thank you for your lovely text, I haven't got around to putting credit on it so I couldn't reply (everytime I go to a cashpoint the top-up facility isn't working).

JaamyButty · 29/02/2008 09:02

Browny - don't worry about not replying to the text - just wanted you to know I was thinking about you. Glad things went ok - except for SIL. I don't think a funeral would be the same without someone making a fool of themsleves. I bet you were proud of your DCs for being so grown up about things.

Really wish I could offer some advice for your DH but I think that all you can do is be there for him when he needs you, as I'm sure you are.

Take care and let us know if you are able to meet up...you know where we are!

T x

maisiedaisy · 02/03/2008 21:41

Hope you all had a lovely mothers day
Just thought I'd see how everybody is?

Browny · 02/03/2008 22:16

Hi Md - how are you? Hope you had a lovely day. We all took a ferry trip to Seacombe and had our lunch in the cafe there, then had a walk on the beach - we all enjoyed the fresh air! I'm sure the ferry is a different one, this one was called the Royal Daffodil and was huge, even had a bar and a little kiost shop. I can't remember ever travelling as far as Otterspool before either, it was really windy but it was so relaxing.

What did everyone else get up to today?

maisiedaisy · 02/03/2008 22:20

Sounds like you had a lovely day with your DC, just what you need at the moment.
How is DH?

Browny · 02/03/2008 22:45

MD- yes, we did need it, dh has a sick note for two weeks and has been prescribed sleeping tablets but won't take them.

I took flowers to the cemetary for my mum yesterday and he went over with the dc to his dad's, he didn't say anything at all and he hasn't even spoken about his dad at all since. I can't stop thinking about his lovely dad and really can't believe that he's gone, I know what dh is going through and everyone grieves in a different way, but I'm not used to someone being so silent when they're heartbroken, my dad and my brother are criers just like me you see.

biglips · 06/03/2008 14:39

browny - sorry to hear about your dh but sorry to be a burden but my mum still not talked about her twin since she died back in 2003....i dont think she ever will to be honest as it like she doesnt exist. All people will talk about it when they are ready but it could be days, weeks or even years....so it is a bummer to go thru it. It took me 7 months to accept it and to start talking about my aunty again.

stoppinattwo · 06/03/2008 14:54

The workshop goes on for about an hour BL, then we were going to have lunch........so abotu another hour, and a bit of a play n walk about....If the weather is ok I think we could easily be afew hours in the park

((browny)). Sorry about what you and DH are going through at the moment.

Stoppin - last week the playground at CourtHey was locked up, not sure if it is opened again, will have a look at some point soon. There is a playground near the Pascal Baylon Boulevard end of the Park though, at other side of Childwall Valley Rd.
