thought I'd start a new thread for those of us meeting up at Dynamic Earth at 12pm on Thursday 21st February - as the last heading was rather "vague" to say the very least

I know we left Ryan's via the smokers area (moved the barrier thing out of the way and swayed off down the street.......god knows how I didn't fall over in my heels........or did I????

yes it seemed quite nice - I remember nearly keeling over in shock when I bought Maw's cup of tea and the bottle of wine and it was £16 something or other!

I may need to book a flight and organise a weekend up in Edinburgh sometime in the (near) future - just to repeat the experience - was fabulous

Well i found a £20 note in the back bit of my purse that was meant for paying the taxi so think i'll go spend it tomorow

Me too Pruners

Coping with the dd's all day was not fun.

Had no headache tablets in the house and no nice food.

Couldn't drive to buy anything and too wet to want to walk.

Will make sure Dh is off next time.

FAQ do you remember trying to smoke your pack of filters instead your fag? You knew exactly where to go when we got to the flats, but I wasn't going to leave you to get to the 14th floor on your own!

And Pruners, you had your sensible head on. You were very close to having a fag too but decided that it was a bad idea.

There really was nothing worthy of blackmail, really there wasn't. No snogging strange men or anything!

i did try to reverse up pruner's street though. What was in the tea that even made me think that might be a good idea?

Mind you that's not as bad as when I went out for a drink here at home about 2yrs ago. I hadn't even HAD a drink and we were on our way to town. I pulled out my lighter and was trying to light my fag.......except I hadn't got a fag out yet and was trying to light thin air

we'll have to make the next one a Saturday night - then I could fly up on the Saturday morning, come and get p*ssed and either stay at one of yours, or at my DB's, or one of many friends I still have up there and then fly back on the Sunday

It really was a great laugh Karen. Often I get a bit bored when people get really pissed and start havering shite, but the shite being havered was hilarious!!

Wasn't me that saved you from the fag pruners. The fact it was so bloody windy and you couldn't get the damned thing lit was what saved you!!
