Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

Yey!!!

Oggs and Berrie are booked in!! Guess that just leaves me then, will get onto it on Monday.

Are you getting the train down Oggs?

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 12:06

Hurrah, you're booked! So we're definitely going then.
Binkle, my best friend at school had a shaggy perm and pink frosted lipstick. And wore jumper dresses in cerise and electric blue with a low-slung belt.

Oooh, I'm so tempted. Lee's signing copies of his album at HMV in Oxford Street tomorrow at 1pm. problem is would I get home in time to pick up DS1 from school at 3.20pm? Depends how long I have to wait.
Will give it some thought...

I had a baggy cerise top with a low slung belt. I think it had 'delicious' written on it though I hadn't known that when ordering it from a catalogue in order to get a free personal stereo! Twas rather embarrassing.

Berrie · 18/11/2007 12:47

Lyra...why would you need to go to the shop when you could dine with him at the Ivy!

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 13:22

Because it probably won't happen. I think DP will decide that preserving his image at work is more important than arranging a dinner so his partner can meet her idol.
Did you get a pushchair?

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:29

Hmm, I favoured electric blue myself - in 'crinkled effect' jersey

Perhaps my finest moment was when I went out dressed in:

black shorts with braces
white see through chiffon shirt (with hood - class)
black sheer tights with stilletto heels
and....

...a baseball cap worn back to front with all that hair protruding from the sides

...Still want to associate with me??

Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:30

Yep, I wanted the prettier one from Mothercare for £10 more but decided not to push my luck with DH...I've been a bit spend happy recently and it's all coming out of the savings

Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:31

No Binkle definatly not!

I bought a rather odd skirt this week...from a Goth website. I love it but I'm not sure I'd dare to wear it out!

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:32

Well I am on the verge of my overdraft as we speak..

I am off to 'an audience with Derek Acorah' at 3.

I dont really buy into him at all and I know he's as been "exposed" as a fake already but I'm fascinated by other people's perception of it, so it should be interesting hopefully.

Hope he doesnt get posessed

Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:32

Methinks if I wore it in Jan, you would definatly claim not to know me!

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 13:32

Wow, what a shocker of an outfit! there were some major fashion crimes committed in the 80s.
I used to wear a black bomber jacket with chains and sewn-on patches and all kinds of other bits and pieces on it, a la Bros. And shoes with Grolsh bottle tops on them, again a la Bros.
Thankfully it was a short-lived phase.

OP posts:
Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:33

You have a very busy diary Binkle! My life seems quite mundane in comparison!

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 13:34

Derek Acorah?!

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:34

I would have KILLED for Grolsch top shoes!!

My friends were also heavily into wearing boys Farah's trousers at the time but the cut didnt really suit my - ahem - curves -well they were curves back then as opposed to slight indents now

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:36

The laugh of it is Berrie is that I always seem to be quite busy and sociable in autumn/winter but do absolutely nothing in summer - dont know why I think it just takes me all spring and summer to rev up for christmas

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:37

I know, I really find it interesting how much people buy into him - I'm afraid Derren Brown has made a bit of a sceptic of me as much as I'd like to believe in mediums and things, I cant decide where I stand on it.

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:38

talking of clothes...I know its a bit early to speculate but what look are we going for in Jan?

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 13:41

Sleek and sophisticated (and hopefully very slim).

OP posts:
Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:42

I suspect I am incapable of sleek!

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:43

Sleek, been a long time since I did sleek but I'll give it a go

LyraSilvertongue · 18/11/2007 13:46

And slim might be a bit tricky only a month after Christmas. But we can try.

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:50

I think it will be spanx reunited that day (from what I remember we all have some form of bellybusters lurking in our drawers) maybe it will be a case of who passes out first from tight-pants-related oxygen restriction

I am truly getting quite excited about the whole deal, it's going to be fab

Berrie · 18/11/2007 13:52

Cant wear my spanx with my new skirt..it's too short

binkleandflip · 18/11/2007 13:53

you brazen woman Berrie
