Yuleicorn ; sorry you have to go on your own. Had sort of been hoping all day that DH will be getting better, being the eternal optimist I am... BUT the poor sod is now even upping when just drinking water or tea!

TIMING SUCKS!!!

Anyhow have a great evening all!

buffettheturkeylayer2 · 11/12/2004 19:19

Go and buy him some coco cola - you can keep that down when all else fails - then escape!

Sorry, that's not much use is it? Anyway, all you poorly people - or parents or wives of poorly people - will be missed. xx

SilentBite · 11/12/2004 19:23

I am looking a bit dodgy too due to an unexpectedly itchy leg Wink

sophabaubles · 11/12/2004 19:47

shit this seems like such a waste...are there any mners in sw london that fancy an impromptu night out?

yuleicorn · 12/12/2004 01:10

.....told you I was an addict!!!!!! Grin but tis cheaper than e-bay!!!!

Big thanks to Countess, Willow and Sophabaubles (btw i reckon you lot should think about a forming a 'girl' band as I'm sure you would be the next big thing....)

I had a really lovely night, and it was great to meet you all (apologies to those I didn't meet properly)

Hope Mr Oldie dad realises he has set an unlikely to be beaten precedent! (would your dh/dp come and pick you up from a night out... 40 + miles away?!)

Thanks again to everyone involved in tonight!!!! Blush

spacedonkey · 12/12/2004 01:11

yuleicorn · 12/12/2004 01:26

Well, apart from the Countess doing a strip,
a major row between various MN'tters with plates being thrown, and everyone doing a 'runner' from restaurant...
naaah not much!!!! Wink

spacedonkey · 12/12/2004 01:27

spacedonkey · 12/12/2004 01:34

yuleicorn · 12/12/2004 01:38

where do you live spacedonkey? have you done any Meetups??

Such really nice people..I would advise everyone to try one sometime (says me.. the meetup tart.... er, I have done 2!!)

spacedonkey · 12/12/2004 01:39

I'm in London, I went to the SN meetup last month and that was great! I wanted to come tonight, but couldn't (kids staying with me for the weekend)

yuleicorn · 12/12/2004 01:49

Spacedonkey, shame you couldn't make it.. such a nice bunch.

(I do think Mumsnet attracts the nicest people)

So time to sleep soon ...my excuse for late late night is my drunken Mumsnet evening. It takes me a while to unwind!

you ok??

spacedonkey · 12/12/2004 01:50

Grin yeah i'm fine, gonna go to bed now though

OldieMum · 12/12/2004 12:12

Thanks to CD and sophable for organising such a nice evening. It was great to meet you all. Oldiedad had to get up at 8.30am to play badminton, too, bless him.

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 12/12/2004 12:22

BuffetTTS ... even coke doesn't stay down Sad

Sounds like I missed a great evening (darn darn darn)

Was contemplating a babysitter, but DD is VERY difficult if she doesn't know the sitter and my usual one (cm's daughters) aren't allowed out that late... sob sob sob

This coming Friday tough there will be no stopping me no matter what! I want drinkies!

MrsDoobaubles · 12/12/2004 13:51

I would also like to add my thanks to CD and spohables for organising a lovely evening. I may not have gone only for the company of Oldiemum and her star dh, I am very pleased I did.
Thank you oldiemum Smile and oldiedad Smile
We will catch up soon.

fisilhohoho · 12/12/2004 18:45

OMG Dev!

Thanks for a great evening. I promise not to be crap, but actually to meet up with all the people I said I'd meet up with (shall I just hang around in Books etc.?)

Caz73, 5:15 start this morning - and loud - then at 6:30 I had the inspiration to give him two dry crackers & a drink of water - and he let us sleep until 8! Still haven't managed to track down the cup & plate, though!

cas73 · 12/12/2004 19:06

Had a great time too!! I was sooo looking forward to this, and wasn't disappointed in the slightest!!!
Fisil, I was quite lucky. DD1 woke up at 10.00-11.00 and was fast asleep again when I got home - she didn'nt get up until 8.15!!!!

fisilhohoho · 12/12/2004 19:15

Wow! Bliss.
