My exams are finished, I am working my way through a bottle of gin and really looking forward to tomorrow evening.

See you all in Tiger Lily around 7.00 is probably.

MrsMuddle · 14/12/2007 23:00

Ladies, have a great time tomorrow. I'd love to join you, but I'll be at Carling Academy reliving my youth at a Jam concert.

agalch · 15/12/2007 06:33

Aaaargh why am i up this blardy early????

Was planning to lie in a bit as i am meeting up with all of you tonight but ds1 is working at 7am and as he was in the shower his alarm on his phone went off so had to get up and switch it off brfore it woke dd1.
Then DH's alarm on his phone went off while he was in the bloody shower too. So after all that i couldnt get back to sleep so here i am

Not the end of the world i know but bloody annoying anyway.

Have decided i have to go out and buy a coat(warm) this morning,i will be freezing otherwise and im too long in the tooth to freeze for the sake of fashion lol.

Right off to iron so see you all tonight

whenachildisbob · 15/12/2007 09:26

Dh has just left the house expedition style to find a Christmas tree in the woods - don't know when I'll see him again - he has a saw and an axe in his backpack

He and the dcs are going to sling me out the car at Queen St and then retreat to my parents house.

I have a feeling dh will pick me up again from the station to save another tenner for the taxi

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 15/12/2007 15:59

I've got blank labels and a marker pen for name tags.

I am very excited

gomez · 15/12/2007 16:10

I am not doing a name badge Mawbroon - christ I might meet someone I know - like a RL person - and how the hell do I explain that away, eh, eh? .

Just checking not last minutes disasters/cancellations. See you all later.

prettybird · 16/12/2007 01:30

it was lovel to meet old and new Mumsnetters.

Sorry to have msised you Harrisey - we looed out for you at Queen St and even had out sheet of paper saying "Mumsnet" on the table amongst a carriage full of Rangers supporters we didn't give up hope that you might jsut have missed the train and catch a leter one , meeting us in either TogerLily or the Living Room.

Mawbroon looked fab in her dress - she has really great legs , PorjectIvcurus looked really glam in her new "prom" dress, Agalch couldn't possibly have a son of 15 (or was it 16?), Gomez was leeting her hair down after her exams and was ever just a lovely person, Pruni taught me something I hadn't known about ds' birth, it turns out that Weeoniion knows my ex-SIL, Bookthief and I (and Weeonion) were able to share stories about the wonderful breast feeding support we got from Rosemary at the Queen Mum's, Bomsmum is a blooming pcitre of health wih eher baby due on February (she's still in that "easier" in-between stage of her pregnancy), mybabysinthegarden has probably travelled the furthest, Rhumba did well to find us in Tigerlily - actually spotting the wee handwritten "MUMSNET" note and last but not least, Nailpolish did really well to get everythin organised, so a big thank you is due to her.

I th8nk I have comvered everyone : if I have missed anyone out, I apologise

Jambuttie · 16/12/2007 13:35

Hope u had a fab night- pls accept my apologies for non attendane- I had the hangover from hell and have only surfaced bout an hour ago- was on a xmas nite out on friday

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 16/12/2007 15:44

It was fun - lovely to meet you all - would have loved to stay on but SO knackered!
Not very hungover but am 'resting' on the sofa and hope to do so for the rest of the day.....
Lots of you missed Naily's blowjob tips but I'm sure she could start a thread and share with us all

GreebosWhiskers · 16/12/2007 17:06

So how many hangovers are there then? Did you all have a fab time?

Blowjob tips?

howtheBOOKTHIEFstolechristmas · 16/12/2007 17:36

How good were we, managing to catch that train? Thank you very much to bobsdad & whenachildisbob for the lift home!

Had a great time - big thanks to NP for organising. A job very well done.

It was lovely to meet you all. Now I'm picturing your rl faces when I see posts. It's taking a little bit of an adjustment - not that you don't all have lovely faces...

Gutted to miss out on the top sex tips

howtheBOOKTHIEFstolechristmas · 16/12/2007 17:37

Oh dear. That emoticon looks a little inappropriate given the topic.

Sorry to miss you Harrisey - hope everythings ok.

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 16/12/2007 17:52

ARF!
It was great to meet you and I have just spotted you on Ravelry as well
Naily is conspicuously quiet today.....

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 16/12/2007 18:35

I had a lovely night ladies, very nice to meet you all.

Prettybird and bobsmum, I am assuming that you made the train last night!

I never heard any blow job tips. Please share them with us here Naily

We didn't stay that much longer after the glasgow people left, probably until around 1230 or so IIRC.

Nailpolish, thank you so much for organising it, it was lovely. And brilliant idea to not have us traipsing through Edinburgh in the freezing cold after the meal. Thanks to Prettybird too for being the kittymeister.

DH looked after ds today and after his morning feed, I slept until 1130 which is unheard of these days! DS pointed at my sandals which were strewn across the bedroom floor and said "mummy, funny shoes" pmsl

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 16/12/2007 18:35

Pruni, what's Ravelry?

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 16/12/2007 18:45

It's a knitting website....

agalch · 16/12/2007 18:55

Evening all

Was great fun last night and really nice to put some names to faces.

I didn't get to talk to everyone (cos i couldn't be arsed moving) but you were all lovely!!

Big thanks to NP for all the organising and PB for doing the kitty too.

I chatted to DH till about 3 this morning (and drunk another 2 glasses of wine) so i was knackered this morning. He got up first with dd1 at around 8 and dd2 woke me at 8.30 so will be having an early night.

Oooh NP you will have to share your tips with those of us who missed them lol.

Prettybird lol at me not being able to have a 16 year old ds,made my day

Project hope the dd's were ok last night when you left mine and you got some sleep. And thank you for holding my hand at the meet up lol.

Can't wait till the next meet up!!

agalch · 16/12/2007 19:00

I meant to say, given that i have the most crappy name on MN if any of you have any suggestions of what new name i could have i would be very grateful

kerryk · 16/12/2007 20:34

i have always wanted to go to a meet up, cant believe i missed this by only 1 day, was the meal at tigerlily nice? i thought about going there with dh next week before we go to see joseph at the playhouse.

gomez · 16/12/2007 21:02

Right bugger tired I was well hungover - but slept until 11.30 in a nice quiet (child and dog free) house was bliss!

It was such a GOOD night, I had fun but to be fair felt a tad queasy during the sex tips session Nailly you are a wonder!

Was a treat to meet some new people too!

[BTW Kitty we ate in the Living Room, not Tigerlily and I thought it was pretty good, particularly for a Christmas menu when it can go down hill. Tigerlily does nice food too, thou' you won't go wrong with either of them. Enjoy Joseph we are going in between Christmas & New Year, hoping it will be fun.]

Good job all-round in fact! With a particular round of applause to Mawbroon for her taxi-driving at the end of the evening, was much appreciated.

Right I am now heading off to bed with some more food and a cuppa.

Take care all and have a stonking Christmas.

ja9ladiesdancing · 16/12/2007 21:13

sounds like you had a great night ladies

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 16/12/2007 22:50

Yes, the food was very nice indeed. I ended up with two puddings though. Who's christmas pudding did I eat? I seem to have hollow legs at the moment

prettybird · 17/12/2007 00:24

Sounds like some interesting conversations.....

We'll need to have another meet-up so that we can all have the benefit of this advice!

Thanks for the lift Mawbroon - and we met up with Bookthief and Weeonion at Haymarket. They had got a taxi. We even mamaged to nab a table for four once we got to Linlithgow (hopping off one half of the train onto the other), so we had a good natter.

I'm sorry that Jambuttie, Harrisey, Missgriss and Geordiemac didn't make it. There's always next time!
