Am getting worried now about wearing a dress(will have bare legs too)when it's so blardy cold.

Won't be traipsing around outside though will i?

ProjectIcarus · 09/12/2007 14:26

We were at winter wonderland too. Well erm, Dh and the dds were I was in the Living Room having lunch with mates .

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 09/12/2007 18:37

PMSL at you all being surprised that it's cold in Edinburgh in December.....

prettybird · 09/12/2007 18:54

Reinds me of when I was at St Andrews and the 1st Years would start complaining about the cold in November...... we would just laugh and say "wait until Februry! "

Anyway, even if it is cold - we'll be inside! The only walking I'll be doing will be from Waverley to Tigerlily (and if it's really cold, we could share a taxi) and then form Tigerlily next door t the Living Room.

ChristmasseyHarrisey · 10/12/2007 12:59

I'm amazed at how much I have forgotten that especially EDINBURGH cold from when I lived there 11 years ago (and I was a student there, so experienced the real force of the cold - I used to study in bed as it was warm).

11 years in the West of Scotland has turned me into a wuss!

nailpolish · 10/12/2007 15:19

hey hey! well done project - di dyou enjoy it? food nice?

OP posts:
ProjectIcarus · 10/12/2007 18:04

Food was nice. Choc gateaux lurvley.

Can't do Wed NP - it's DH birthday and he has the day off. Suspect he would not be overly impressed if I ditched him to go shopping....

nailpolish · 11/12/2007 09:07

LADIES

if its ok with you at the start of the evening at LR id like to take the remainder of your meal price - meal is £27.95, youve all paid a deposit, therefore you all still have £22.95 to pay, iyswim. give me a bit extra for tip if you like, £1 or £2, but only if you want to. that means we only have the drinks bill to worry about at the end

is everyone cool with that? stops me worrying about it ...

bobsmum · 11/12/2007 15:39

I'm planning on coming and going with Harrisey and Prettybird if that's ok?

I'll be wearing a black dress and i've just bought some sparkly shoes - oh and I'm 22 weeks pg and waddling already!

I'm happy with that payment arrangement NP - makes life a lot easier I think.

I'm excited now!!

bobsmum · 11/12/2007 15:40

5:15 at the ticket machines - I'll be there too!

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 11/12/2007 16:32

NP - that is a fab idea re the dosh. I have been to a couple of group nights where it ends up in a row about the money and spoils the night out. Do you think they might let us pay for the drinks as we go along? That would make it even less to worry about.

Got a top this afternoon, it might be a fashion disaster, but will try it on later.

Jambuttie · 11/12/2007 16:54

Deffo good idea about dosh!!!!

Agree maybe too on paying for drinks as we go or even just put a kitty in cause we will be there for a while

I'm on coke tho as I'm taking the car LOL

Could maybe even start kitty on table as

£10 if drinking
£5 if not

when that runs out we can either put more on or buy your your own if tha makes sense

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 11/12/2007 17:16

I think that's a good idea about a kitty Jambuttie. No drinking for me either as now teetotal for almost three years.

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 11/12/2007 17:23

I won't be drinking either and I think a wee kitty for drinks is a great idea
I am not going to be glitzy! God are we poor at the moment! I have no idea how it happened...oh, buying a place in Edinburgh...that must have been it! So I am going to buy a new top and wear jeans and stick some make-up on and hope for the best

bobsmum · 11/12/2007 17:29

My sparkly shoes are an Asda special - lots of v festive stuff in there atm. Not drinking either - we're going to be far too with it for any blackmail material methinks

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 11/12/2007 17:38

Yes but think of the mischief potential bobsmum
We can make up all sorts

nailpolish · 11/12/2007 17:44

yes i like the idea of a kitty
tenner if drinking
fiver if not

any volunteers to be KittyMaster?

OP posts:
nailpolish · 11/12/2007 17:45

tenners and fivers wont cover it i think
start off with £20/£10 each?

OP posts:
Jambuttie · 11/12/2007 18:12

Yeah that sounds fine with me!!!

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 11/12/2007 18:16

Yes good
I would volunteer to be milk monitor but prolonged use of gonadotrophins has messed with my brain, possibly permanently....I will be doing well if I can continue a conversation!

nailpolish · 11/12/2007 18:22

oh i suppose ill let you off prune

dont all rush at once

OP posts:
gomez · 11/12/2007 20:51

If you leave the drink kitty to me we will all be in trouble 'cause I am most definately boozing. Last exam on Friday and no partying on Friday night so Saturday is my end of exams piss-up !

See you all in Tigerlily. PB I am right in thinking you have my mobile number? If so drop me a text and let me know where you are in TL?

agalch · 11/12/2007 21:34

I'm fine with £20 for us boozers but really don't want to be in charge of the kitty Just shit with money lol

mawbroonGotRunOverByAReindeer · 11/12/2007 21:39

I've just bought a sparkly dress.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I don't think I have worn a dress since erm, oh, actually my brother's wedding 7 years ago was the last time.

Hope nobody else has the same one.
