Sounds like good weekend had by all. Do like your pics, DD looks like she's having loads of fun.

Foxie glad you enjoyed the wedding you went to. I had a great time at my friend's wedding, she looked stunning - 1st time I've seen her looking so grown up (I've known here since we were about 12 and she still looks the same ) Had a really good catch up with loads of old friends

Sushi your friend must be reaaly pleased with her news. My friend is 41 and expecting twins in Dec, she's both excited and nervous especially as they have been trying for years.

QC good to see that the fame and glory has not gone to your head

Paddlechick666 · 02/09/2007 21:56

hi choc, no i wasn't a the mela, i think mellow went tho.

those pics were Kew Green this arvo.

i knew dd would have the ride, i just wasn't sure if she'd stay put and not try to clamber out.

once she figured out how to sound the horn there was no moving that kid outta the cab!!

foxcub · 02/09/2007 22:27

sfx - school starts Weds for us. DD strats the wek after so I have just the yuounguns for a week, so could come out to play. I have slight agrophobia/inertia atm so must try and get out of the house more...

Paddle - Think I have to go to isleworth tomorrow so will text you when I get my arse in gear

SJ - glad you enjoyed the wedding

...all these older ladies getting PG is making me feel very broody again

Tell me I'm too old for another pleeeze!!

DH asked what I wanted for my birthday and I said "a baby" HaHaHa

foxcub · 02/09/2007 22:28

Rosemerta where R U going 4 your hols?

chocabloc · 02/09/2007 22:34

stepfordwife · 02/09/2007 23:24

evening all

foxie - hope you got my text earlier thanking you for dropping off hat and camera. (dropped my moby down loo AGAIN today so using a back-up one)

ds1 only bothered to tell me as we sitting down to dinner - sorry didn't see i was up in the loft (why does that expression always remind me of mad aunties?)
you could have stayed for dinner - don't worry, k cooked it

paddle - pics are lush. have told dd she's got to have curls sprouting out of her head just like your dd's by the end of the month. no pressure, though...

kew - fame hasn't changed you? give it time, give it time...

toodlepip

rosmerta · 03/09/2007 09:07

morning all

Weather looks ok, so will probably head out to the park. Realised that if I don't give ds a good run around he'll only sleep for an hour in the afternoon and I've got used to my 2 hrs now!

Foxie - we're off to Portugal with my mum and dad and brother and his girlfriend.

sfxmum · 03/09/2007 09:28

morning all

foxie - yes will be counting n meet up at some point this week. must say i get all misty eyed at the thought of dd going to school

ros - mine I get to run around but seldom luck out on the nap

choc are you back at school? since I am nosy I took a peek at your profile you have got a cutie there

steppie - my sis had gorgeous curls when that age then after much screaming over washing and brushing my mother cuts them off and it never grew back the same, surely parental abuse

think today we will go for a stroll to kew if I can be bothered, but since I have to go to the village might as well

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2007 09:35

morning all, back at work today

i'm on my first conf call and have nearly 200 emails to get thru!

dd was a bit teary at CM but that didn't last and she was slamming the door in my face soon enuff

foxie, will wait to hear from you....

choc, checked your profile too as i am also nosy. your boy looks good fun! would be great if you could manage a meet up sometime.

i've got tomorrow off if anyone's around? SFX, haven't seen you in forever. plan to visit library in the morning tho. anyone fancy the tropical forest @ syon?

steppie, your dd is gorgeous and such a cheeky smile. they're two peas tho eh?

my bro wants me to clip a curl or two and put in a locket but i am terrified they won't grow back and she'll look lopsided!

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2007 09:36

ps: ros am at your holiday!

SushiMummy · 03/09/2007 09:53

Morning all!

Looks like everyone got to the same ride at Kew Fayre. DS kept going back for another ride, too. We were also worried he might climb out but he was as good as gold.

QC, I know exactly how you feel about being famous, I was once a very famous actress in Japan.... NOT. Bet you'll have loads of visitors to your blog.

Paddle, your DD is lovely. Wish my DS had curly hair... Have updated my pics, too.[copycat emoticon]

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2007 10:06

more great pics Sushi!

lol, i specifically put dd in a truck that had a closed in cab and proper doors in the hope that it would be too much effort for her to climb out.

no need to worry tho once she figured out the horn - she was super-glued to it !

small admission, pre-kids i was always a bit perplexed about why parents wasted so much money/time/effort on giving kids stuff, fairground rides, experiences etc but watching the delight on her face as she went around on that ride yesterday was utterly priceless.

i have to say i was the only parent who was grinning as much as their kid tho. most of the others looked completely bored.

in fact, the boredom on most of the Dad's faces that I saw took the sting out of my usual "family envy" thing.

anyways, must crack on. got some very important calls to make........

sfxmum · 03/09/2007 10:10

paddle - do you mean tomorrow? another day this week? Syon park on London road means 2 bus rides so must plan in advance and be in right mood.
but be lovely to see you, it has been ages

must update my profile I cleared out to re write and forgot about it.

cho cho indeed sushi not sure how dd mingles fairy princesses, trains and a new found love for peppa pig

sfxmum · 03/09/2007 10:13

btw do we have any evening meet up coming up? am really out of the loop on that one but could possibly do with some grown up chat, or as grown up as it gets

mellow are you around? hope things ok albeit quite busy I expect

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2007 11:05

sfx, yep tomorrow. suggested syon just for a change really but am happy to come over your way and do kew or something similar. would be about 2.30ish i guess after dd's nap.

car is being MOT'd and (hopefully) serviced today so finger's x'd I will be fully mobile.

isn't Nanou's leaving do this Friday or Saturday? has anyone heard from her? unfortunately i can't make it.

oh btw, The Great River Race has come around again and this year I do believe it's at an altogether more sociable time!

www.greatriverrace.co.uk/index.html

first boats are off at 12:55 and my club/crew are on a 1 hour handicap so won't start till about 2pm.

i'd like to go to the start this year at Ham House but it depends if dd will consent to a morning nap.

stepfordwife · 03/09/2007 11:46

hi chaps!
how you all diddling?
paddle and sfx - ds1 had glorious blond ringlets - didn't have his first haircut until 3 as scared of that old wives' tale that they woiuldn't grow back...
well, they did after about 3 haircuts..but then didn't come back. sob.
mind you, now he's nearly 8 doubt he'd entertain a halo of curls anyways..

yes, our dds do look very similar!

dd got another "settling inm" day at nursery. of course she cried and i feel like shiter about it. don't remember feeling like this with the boys - but i don't think i ecver got so much as a backward glance between them!

right, got to go and feel in the nursery paperwork i've ignored for weeks...
have a good day everyone
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 03/09/2007 11:48

...sure i shed a tear (or 100) over boys too (she said hastily as realising it sounded really bad...)
just getting wimpier and soppier in my old age, i think. dearr god, help me..

stepfordwife · 03/09/2007 11:49
