I've had a look and got a map. Not too far from the train station it would seem! A good find! What time shall we make it. 11am too early? We could have a walk around then a spot of lunch.

Right, are we talking the Sun Inn, West St , Faversham? Have a look at my map but no problems this end! Shouldn't really be on here, should be getting ready for funeral no 2. Oh joy!!
Looking forward to next week 11am suits us fine.
(mmmm....can't drink if I take the car....she ponders....)

fio2 · 19/11/2004 11:04

catch the train!!!!

Cadbury · 19/11/2004 11:05

Aww Dingle. Thinking of you.

Dingle · 19/11/2004 11:07

Nearest station would be Chatham, that would mean a bus ride as well. Don't do buses!!!
Perhaps Cadbury will enlighten me but I have to make sure I'm back to pick ds up from school, I'd have to leave earlier if I don't drive. Never mind you can have a drink for me, and I catch up that evening!

Cadbury · 19/11/2004 11:12

Why not busses? I can help you at the Chatham end. If you park in W village, you could get a bus that has a roll on roll off thing for push chairs or wheelchairs straight to the station wheree I can meet you. The Station has side gates for the platforms so no need to do stairs there. Don't know about Faversham though but I can help there too. I'll find out about train times in a bit. HTH

fio2 · 19/11/2004 11:13

they do help with the pushchair at the station as they have helped me loads of times. they just take it off you

Cadbury · 21/11/2004 17:50

So, what time can we get there people? Do you all want to meet at the station? We could go for a wonder and then go to the Sun inn for an earlyish lunch? Then back home in time for end of school. Aero is thinking about whether she can meet us but Womba can't unfortuately.

Dingle · 21/11/2004 18:05

I'm easy when it comes to times, drop ds off just before 9am. I guess it will take about 1/2 hour or so to get there . I will drive, but can aim to park up fairly near the station if that's where you are all meeting.
Cadbury-perhaps I could email you with my mobile details, in case I get lost!!

Cadbury · 21/11/2004 18:19

Great idea. I'll send you mine too.

zsooz · 22/11/2004 13:29

I am a newbie here!

I have a 5 month old son - who exhausts me how do you ladies go on to have 3 or 4 (madness)

I'm from Sittingbourne and would be interested in getting to know other mums in the area.

My friends and family don't live locally, so it would be fab to get out and about, get advice about local things and generally have a giggle.

Cadbury · 22/11/2004 13:36

Hi zsooz, I'm cadbury and I'm in Medway. I've got a dd of 4 and a ds of 16 months. I am permenantly exhausted.

zsooz · 22/11/2004 13:50

Hi Cadbury
Yeh not surprised. What does DS DD stand for? Must be son/daughter..heehee see spot the new gal in town! BTW Your name has made me rather peckish now...grrr

Cadbury · 22/11/2004 15:05

ds = dear son and dd = dear daughter. When did you find mumsnet zsooz?

zsooz · 22/11/2004 17:59

Just a couple of days ago and so far it has been a godsend. Knowing that I am not the only person feeling this or suffering that!

Dingle · 22/11/2004 18:04

Hello zsooz, welcome to MN!As a mum of a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old I would like to say things get easier....but.....well...I won't!!

OP posts:
Dingle · 22/11/2004 18:15

Fio, I've emailed Cadbury, I am quite flexible when it comes to time! Find out when your trains arrive and I will aim to be there whenever it suits everyone else!

zsooz · 22/11/2004 18:31

So do you guys have alot of history, do you meet up regularly etc?

Hi Fio. What are you studying. I used to work at the college

zsooz · 22/11/2004 18:32

...and Dingle I'll have to take your word for it - that it gets easier - I will have to use that in some kind of mantra when my little man wakes me up at 2am!!

fio2 · 22/11/2004 18:33
