Allow me ladies.
JanH this is Dingle who enjoys making cards and running to raise money for charity.
Dingle, this is Jan H with whom I've not had the pleasure of a direct chat bt I'm told she is one of the loveliest mumsnetter you could hope to meet.

Cadbury · 30/09/2004 19:43

Awww shucks, you beat me to it.

Dingle · 30/09/2004 19:49

Aaah, thanks Cadders,,,,that sums me up really, not a lot to me, very simple.
Not so much of the running either,,,just a stroll in the park really!!!

JanH · 30/09/2004 19:51

Aw, Cadbury, thanks for the intro! Dingle, have to confess I was thinking you were someone else but it is very nice to meet you anyway - this is a lovely community!

Cadbury · 09/10/2004 17:46

Right then girlies. So far we potentially have Cadbury, Aero, Dingle, Fio2 (are you still up for it?) and . . . . Any other takers? I've drawn a blank with places that are kid friendly in Faversham. Fio - do you know of any family friendly pubs or restaurants in Herne Bay?

Dingle- it was lovely to meet you on Thursday, but you do yourself an injustice! I wouldn't describe you as at all "simple". Quite lovely in fact. Really enjoyed our chat.

Aero - I'll see you tonight. Looking forward to it. Yum yum! I'm sure you'll be sick of the sight of me before long!

Has canterbury got any, or is that too far for some?

Cadbury · 18/10/2004 18:24

Come on then people! How about wednesday the 27th October? Who's up for it then? Don't care where as long as it's on a train line. Have completely drawn a blank with family friendly pubs especailly in the towns. Over to you lot.

looks that way. I've done as much cpr as one person can. The dates have come and gone with no answer. Starting to think no one likes me!

Are you in the area?

fio2 · 08/11/2004 14:26

OP posts:
Cadbury · 08/11/2004 14:35

Potentially the 19th is looking promising!

Grumpy frumpy - are you up for it?

I'll talk to Aero and see if Dingke might be up for it. Haven't seen womba around for a bit - maybe she fell in love with Paris and didn't come back! I'll email her.

Tessiebear · 08/11/2004 14:38

Cadbury - so sorry i havnt posted on this thread - would love to come but unforunately working pretty much full time when the kids are at school and struggling to cope with morning sickness - hope you all have a great time though

I like you Cadbury, I'm up for it!
Don't know if next week is too good for me, thought things had calmed down but Monday -home visit in afternoon and dd is at SN nursery in morning,Tuesday -Portage midday, Wednesday a funeral, Thursday -Downs Syndrome Coffee morning, and Friday -meeting up with some friends!! Guess what I'm saying is I can't make next week.
The week after I have Wednesday(24th) & Friday 26th completely free but will have dd with me. Monday,Tuesday & Thursday I have to work around picking dd up from nursery.
When & where??????
Round up ,,,round up!!!

Cadbury · 08/11/2004 16:55

Awww thanks. You sound like its all happening Dingle! I am completely free on Friday 26th and will have both of them with me. I'd love to meet your kids if they can come. I guess your ds would be at school?
Fio? Can you do the 26th? (all other things being equal).
Shall we go to the coast? What do you think?

Grumpyfrumpy? Can you do the 26th?

fio2 · 09/11/2004 06:33

I can do 26th! fridays are ok for me, all being well

grumpyfrumpy, i am near canterbury too. Going there tommorrow infact!

OP posts:
Dingle · 09/11/2004 12:16

Is this actually going to happen?
Any ideas where and what sort of time, I will have dd with me so I will need somewhere "buggy friendly" if possible!

fio2 · 09/11/2004 12:19

where then? i will have to get there either on train or bus

OP posts:
Cadbury · 09/11/2004 12:35

I think it might Dingle!!!!!

Well. Fio would be training it and so would I. Would you too Dingle?
Is it too late in the year for a seaside town, do you think?
The ony other place I can think of is maybe Rochester which has lots of cafes.
Can anyone else think of somewhere inside where the kids could run around that the people without cars can get to?

Dingle · 09/11/2004 20:10

Depending where it is-I will probably drive. Cadbury, I could always pick you up, but it would be a squeeze in the back with car seats( can only fit 2 in my car) and I would have dd's buggy in the boot. Sorry doesn't sound very helpful-but it's all I can offer if you feel like playing sardines!
