Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

ok so when do you want us then? just mentioned mrsR as she is very keen on decluttering (completely alien concept to me)

niece and nephew starting school hols and keen on baby sitting so i am planning evenings out with dh.
dd is really looking forward to it when i talk to her about this plans she said 'yeah! bye bye'

sfxmum · 30/07/2007 13:30

or these even

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:31

Foxie - I have a bag of stuff that DS has outgrown. Much of it winter stuff but as its mostly 6-12 months should probably fit him by then?

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:33

count me out for north sheen rec as DS is just at the perfect age for braining himself on the swings (as anyone who saw him last time will remember!).

have a social worker visit on Friday am (again?! Will be glad to see the back of them)

MrsRecycle · 30/07/2007 13:41

oh my ears are burning! Hi everyone - Starry it was nice meeting you the other night. Hi Bubble - have heard so much about you - glad you have joined us!! yes Foxie - sorry we didn't have much time to chat but it was nice seeing your LOs again (and you!).

Yes decluttering is my forte - having said that my office is a dumping ground at the moment and needs a serious decluter. My top tip is to get large boxes (if anyone wants any let me know, as I have a garage full) and mark on them what they are for (eg I have an ebay box which is full of stuff I need to ebay).

sfxmum · 30/07/2007 13:43

if it gets warm enough i will do pools in the park too, quite like it there.

off to the playground with dd i think, then have to stop at retail park, we are having a really lazy day, dd only woke up at 9.30

kew - will there be annual visits for the foreseeable future or will they leave you alone at some point?

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:48

oh they aren;t annual SFX - they're every 6 weeks until he is readopted in the UK (plus a review meeting every quarter with the adoption manager), technically I am fostering him privately until then. I can only apply now (after home 6 months) and will probably take at least another 6 months.

Of course its a bit pointless - what are they going to do in 6 months time - send him back to an unknown parent in Kazakhstan?

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:49

Oh Queen of decluttering please come with your big boxes and save me...

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:50

actually MrsR - do you want to sort through my stuff for your DS before I give it to Foxie - some of it may fit him now.

rosmerta · 30/07/2007 13:54

Foxie, 4pm is fine, see you then!

rosmerta · 30/07/2007 13:55

Am watching Last of the Mohicans while MN-ing, never realised before that Daniel Day-Lewis can be quite cute!

sfxmum · 30/07/2007 13:55

kew i said annually thinking that after 6 months, doctor review, etc it would start to settle.
kids in care homes and foster homes get less
even some at risk don't get such regular contact it is puzzling

sfxmum · 30/07/2007 13:56

Ros that is a slippery slope

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 13:58

bonkers isn;t it? Particularly bearing in mind I have already had a home study and therefore CRB checked, health check 3 personal references, work reference and extensive questioniong about pointless things in my childhood.

It's becasue he is "privately" fostered post Climbie the new rules are visit at least every 6 weeks.

xoxo · 30/07/2007 15:58

just popped in post Legoland trip (what was I thinking of?)
kids to feed, bath and get even more exhausted to safely enable a tension/ guilt-free meal out tonight

see whoever is coming at 7.30

ComeOVeneer · 30/07/2007 16:01

Me!!!! Is this where I mention I have had a child free day whilst enjoying lunch and shopping in Kingston on my own?

stepfordwife · 30/07/2007 17:28

stepfordwife · 30/07/2007 17:29

cov!

ComeOVeneer · 30/07/2007 17:31

Steppy, did I mention no children tomorrow or Wednesday either . However the downside is I have 4 (eastern european, I think) men dowstairs banging, crashing and drilling in the (now bare and semi plasterless) kitchen since 8am this morning. I can't see them finishing by Saturday.

OP posts:
eleusis · 30/07/2007 17:57

oooo 4 Eastern European men downstairs. Tell us about it at dinner.

SushiMummy · 30/07/2007 18:07

Steppie, DH going into hospital for op? Hope it's nothing serious.

Have a nice meal tonight, Ele, CoV and Oxo.

stepfordwife · 30/07/2007 20:28

yep..give me the four eastern european men any day

sushi - it's fairly routine op (no, not the snip, if that's what you're all thinking...) thanks for asking
he's fine (ish) about it, it's me who gets nervous. last time he was in hospital, by the time i'd badgered his surgeon about what exacatly he was doing, pointed out dh was overweight so go careful with that general and that he was diabetic so keep an eye on that/ and please, please look after him as i don't want to be on my own with three children/blah! blah! you get the picture....

dh just looked at me and suggested i went home to see the kids. can't think why

yum, hope you're having a fab meal

Rose - C U tomorrow

Kew - I gave you a couple of DS1's things which I need bag in about 6 weeks for DS2
Navy blue - one fleecy (Next) the other not fleecy (Next/Gap or Oshkosh) - he is massive

MrsR I need a large box actually - need to throw out all books lent to me by MN people who are refusing to reclaim them!! (hope that's got your attention)

sfx - how about next week one arvo or about 11am?

Am sorting out the house for our new lodger this week!!!

North Sheen Rec is the one on North Road, opposite Railway It lies between North Road and Marksbury Ave.

Steppy - at your DD - I mean it wasn't that warm today - bet you made a quick dask back home!!

foxcub · 30/07/2007 22:11

Back not "bag"!!

Kewcumber · 30/07/2007 22:36

Foxie - the only thing I remember of yours was the checked shirt. Thought the other stuff was from Nanou but it was on the same day so I could be getting confused. I still have everything anyway so you can rummage through and take what you want.
