Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

pmsl sushi. I think thats so funny that you can't answer my questions on Japanese politics. I'm now going to test the Brits on the British constitution and see how they fare...

Paddlechick666 · 08/08/2007 13:09

my constitution's not bad thanks kew!

foxie, friend has gone out for a while today and am enjoying house to self. whilst working of course!

it's been a bit worse due to his having been quite ill for a few days and losing his wallet over the weekend so he's been a bit house-bound.

he's off to alton towers tomorrow and won't be back till late. but i'll have my mum here by then!

am getting quite excited about prospect of new flat. keep thinking of ideas on how to decorate dd's room and make it a lovely space for her. haven't thought about the rest of the place tho LOL!

SushiMummy · 08/08/2007 13:25

I know, I really should know better. After all, my father was in politics, well he was a secretary to an MP and was a local election candidate (which he didn't win) a while ago. My uncle was a politician who has kept his seat for more than 20 years! Now the other relative has the seat. Corruption or what?

ComeOVeneer · 08/08/2007 13:50

Well I have no officially wasted almost 7 hours of my life waiting for the fridge (dh phoned up to check if it had arrived, then said "I hope when it does, it will fit through the door and into the kitchen" - now he wonders that ).

2Cute did you invite people to your's on Thursday? My car is in hospital Thursday so I can't drive anywhere. Unless I get it back by 4pm, which is not that likely...

Mellow I sent that text to you on Monday, but coincidentally am looking to do something tomorrow - which doesn't involve driving.....

I'd be interested in trying some samples - have very sensitive skin so it would be good to test before buying. Do you have "bubble bath" - (can't remember what else its called)

foxcub · 08/08/2007 14:29

err, "shower gel"?

rosmerta · 08/08/2007 14:30

foxie - bath foam?

I'm also up for meeting tomorrow either before 11.30-ish or after 3pm

Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 15:12

I have to sort out my parking permit first thing but I should be back by about 10.30 to do something. Depends what the weather is like really.

SJ99 · 08/08/2007 16:12

Hiya

Stressful few hours. Ds decided he wasn't going to nap so he undressed himself instead and did a massive poo in cot . So then I cleaned the mess all up and took him for a walk, after an 1hr still no nap. Just when I thought things were getting better on teh nap front. He too normally sleeps 2hrs after lunch, well he did prior to moving house. When will it get better??? Sorry for more poo talk, had to tell someone.

sfxmum · 08/08/2007 16:13

hello everyone

mellow - biggie tots on hols till September, its on mon and wed 10.00 & 10.40 and 3.30 on one of those days too not sure which.
i might get dd to tumble tots too if i think i can stomach the group shirt thing.

and mellow - love those bags

kew - thought there was no constitution, or is that me failing my citizenship exam although i do know about precedent/ de facto and all that.
i used to think an elected second house was the way to go but frankly often those old folks do some good, they have excellent learned debates which no one, often not even their sleeping peers, listened to

paddle i can't deal with people around i need my space, our friends decided to stay in Brixton instead so we have to get down there to meet them, i am not sorry, despite the travel

SJ99 · 08/08/2007 16:13

2cute - If you guys are meeting up tom, before lunchtime or after nap time would suit if I can tag along

SJ99 · 08/08/2007 16:15

Hi SFX - what's tumble tots and group shirt thing?

Mello - also like the bags!

sfxmum · 08/08/2007 16:16

SJ how old is you ds again? my dd is 2.2 and has never been big on naps and these days she often goes without one.
she does however sleep through most nights often 9pm to 8/9 am

sfxmum · 08/08/2007 16:20

SJ tumble tots
it's just that they have a group t-shirt and i am not big on clubs per se.
i take dd to boggie tots at Mothercare retail park which i only pay per session.

but i think she needs more kids groups as she is very keen on the company of other children.
am also thinking of enrolling in swimming classes at pools in the park

SJ99 · 08/08/2007 17:42

DS is 20mths, he still needs his nap. Tumble tots looks pretty good. Am also thinking about taking him swimming at Teddington. Didn't know M/C did boogie sessions, thanks for the tips!

SJ99 · 08/08/2007 17:46

Will look into tumble tots for action man Ds as it might be something for him in autumn when weather's not so good to play outside

mellow2 · 08/08/2007 18:31

Hello everyone,

11 am is fine. Everyone is welcome, including your dh, sushi. I do have to warn everyone that I live in a flat in Brentford. If it's decent weather, we could also use the balcony.

So if you don't mind my smallish living room then that's not a problem.

Is everyone bringing DCs too?

mellow2 · 08/08/2007 18:35

Foxie and ros,
I promised dd we were going back to Kew Beach tomorrow as she wouldn't leave otherwise so if you want to meet, we could meet there.

Unfortunately, it will be between the hours of 11 and 3/4 pm, ros as dd will want to be there for quite a few hours and 3 pm will be too late.

mellow2 · 08/08/2007 18:39

Foxie,

I have a body wash that you can use in the shower or bath. I thought you said yesterday you only have showers. Is that right?

They don't do a sample per se but I could give you a small amount to take home in a travel container if you don't mind.

SJ,
I've just seen your post about ds.

mellow2 · 08/08/2007 18:41

Oops, wrong link.

This is the correct body wash link.

foxcub · 08/08/2007 18:53

Mellow - that body wash looks yummy. Grapefruitseed fights candida too doesn't it (thrush prone family here) so that would be an added bonus. And cheaper than Occitane !!

sfx - PMSL about citizenship exam. I think one has to do a really convincing to pass nowadays!

Talking of poo SJ, DD announced this arvo she needed a po. We were in the middle of Sheen high St (my fave haunt atm). I took her into Costa Coffe: "can my little girl please use your toilet, she's desperate?"

Staff: "Yes, its just been cleaned actually"

Me (thinks "oh good - nice clean loo for DD's delicate bottom)

DD does poo, jumps off, moves across to the sink (..as you do) and leaves a trail of poo on said spotless floor !!

foxcub · 08/08/2007 18:55

Mellow I am around tomorrow at those times. No one here needs a lunchtime nap except me and I'm not allowed one...

Need to get passports sorted in morning but should be free late morning/midday-ish so will text you

Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 20:03

Mellow if the weather is OK I'd be up for an 11ish meet at Kew beach - I'm close enough to take DS home for lunch after an hour so that suits me fine (assuming I can get my errands done by 11am). Are you going to join us SJ - our DS's are similar age and I think DS needs someone else to terrorise to give mellows DD a break

I'd love to pop over on Sat at 11am Mellow - I would only stay and hour so that would presumably cut down on the squash in your living room. Mine isn't that big and we've squashed a fair few in at times!

Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 20:04

might even be able to pop over wihtout Ds if my mum will babysit on Sat for an hour so tht would ease the bedlam quite a bit

SushiMummy · 08/08/2007 20:17

Mellow, 11am on Sat, then. Great! I don't know where you live. Can you CAT me or send me an e, if you could, please? I suppose my details are on the list?
