Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 09:20

have just realised that contrary to my previous view that I am not a schedule queen, in fact compared to some of you, I am infact the Margaret Thatcher of the schedule world because it suits both of us - he takes a good length nap after lunch and I get a break, and we eat the saem time every day .

In my defence, compared to the orphanage it is all very laissez-faire Chez Kewcumber

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 09:27

I have Thursday off - if the weather isn't great I am going to try teh play group-y thing at the Early Learning centre in Richmond if anyone wants to join me. Probably at about 10am, could be persuaded for a coffee afetrwards...

sfxmum · 07/08/2007 09:27

you don't have to explain kew, it is often what suits both really. but why drag MT into this?

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 09:28

I find mentioning MT has either good comic effect or frightens the shit out of people. Either reaction works quite well for me

sfxmum · 07/08/2007 09:32

considering how her kids turned out! so scary

i did not know that there was a play group at ELC, is it populated by those mini mums who only drink black coffee?

on another subject i realized yesterday that i better start looking for nursery/ playgroups for dd for next year, along with registering for primary

SushiMummy · 07/08/2007 09:33

Good morning all.

Thanks SJ, we just began to look at houses and we don't even know how much our house is worth. We are not in a hurry so maybe next year...

Hi Yingers!

You are going to hate me but I love scheduling. DH is soooo lazy and soooo disorganised and someone has to do the dirty job.

SushiMummy · 07/08/2007 09:40

Btw, does anyone know a good cattery in the area? Or a catsitter?

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 09:51

www.elc.co.uk/page-10

sorry I always get friends and neighbours to feed the cats, oh god thats a thought I need to get the cats fed whilst I'm away...

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 09:51

local vet Peter Andre is good his staff might do cat sitting...

SushiMummy · 07/08/2007 10:00

QC, thanks!

Re ELC, isn't it every Tuesday (not Thursday)? Sorry if I'm wrong.

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 10:08

oh bollocks you're right.

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 10:09

Ok am free to play Thursday am and am going to ELC next Tuesday

foxcub · 07/08/2007 10:41

Peter Andre - he should be at home with his new born daughter shouldn't he?

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 10:42

he moonlights as a vet in Kew...

foxcub · 07/08/2007 10:42

Princess T'iiami or whatever her name is?

2Cute · 07/08/2007 12:19

Hello all

Right, for those of you not yet on facebook...DON'T DO IT, DON'T GIVE INTO THE PRESSURE! Ok rant over....I barely get time to come on here but have set up on facebook which you could spend hours on. It is brilliant for getting in touch with old mates though.

Anyways, paddle - you didn't elaborate on your neighbours details. I'm intrigued???

QC - I'm free this Thursday if you fancy meeting up. You're welcome round mine (and anyone else who's free) or we could pop out.

Welcome back TTBG

2Cute · 07/08/2007 12:20

Foxcub - is there such a name?

Kewcumber · 07/08/2007 12:26

OK 2cute - I have to go to the parking shop in Twickenham for my residents permit so probably over your way anyway. I'll try to go early and meet at 10/10.30? Is that too early for you?

SJ99 · 07/08/2007 13:16

Aah, DS actually ate a decent sized lunch and is off in the land off nod. Bathroom cleaned, ironing can wait so I can relax now.
Am free Thurs am, can I tag along please???

Hi Mellow, I only joined MN recently and have just moved to the area. Hope to meet you sometime.

rosmerta · 07/08/2007 13:24

Hi everyone, Kew I'm very scheduled as well, everything revolves around ds's nap cos otherwise he's a nightmare!

Sushi, I use this catsitter, she's very good and we've used her a few times now with no problems.

2cute - I'm free on Thurs as well, would like to meet up,

Yingers74 · 07/08/2007 13:53

I am also a natural scheduler, although am trying to be more spontaneous esp in the holidays when everything closes down! I even have a timetable detailing dinners for the next month - sad but saves on thinking time!

Any plans for a night out?

Kewcumber - saw you on the other thread about mixed children.

Hello everyone!

Sfx - are you watching heroes, I missed the last episode. Great series though!

Darn, can you tell I have been away, double clicked - doh!

Yingers74 · 07/08/2007 13:55

Did I mention my dh has been away for the whole summer riding a bicycle across the states, he will be back at the weekend - can't wait! And I now have even more respect for single mums.

rosmerta · 07/08/2007 14:05

Sorry yingers, I meant to say welcome back! Am v impressed with your dh.

I've been watching Heroes as well and I do still have the last episode if you want to watch it sometime, otherwise I think it is repeated late one night (can't remember when tho!)
