Hi everyone

How about a meet up next week. Mrspnut suggested Tuesday or Wednesday. Either of those days is fine with me.

Emparade - so sorry to hear about your car. When you moved to Lincoln you thought you had moved to a nice place!

flossie64 · 15/10/2007 18:55

hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.
I can't meet up until we are into November as we are off to sunnier climes for half term (hope you all recognise me when I'm bronzed,NOT)
Louise I saw Stripey today, at school, her next placement is on labour ward so she maybe will deliver your baby, it would be nice to know your midwife beforehand.
Have a nice half term , see you all soon

Emparade · 15/10/2007 20:17

Do not need to meet in town now as have just cut off dangly bit until car repaired Alas can't do tues or wed either.

LouiseSJ · 17/10/2007 21:31

We'll have to arrange a meet up after half term.

Flossie - have a lovely time in the sun. Oh I don't know how I feel about Stripey delivering my baby. I would be embarrassed about having a Mumsnet meet up with someone who has seen my bits!

mrspnut · 18/10/2007 08:45

Louise, by the time you're having your baby you won't care if a marching band come through your room let alone someone you know. You leave your dignity at the door the minute you get a BFP.

After half term is better for me now, I'm busy every day next week (got to drive over 500 miles all in all) and it would be simpler if I didn't have to squeeze it in somewhere.

Thursday mornings are out but I can do any other day.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 19/10/2007 18:43

Hi,

I could do Weds or Fri next week. Weds only in the morning.

Louise, I would totally understand if you didn't want someone you know delivering your baby. In fact when you came to hospital for your scan we pick the notes of the top off the pile and see that woman (after the scan) and I picked your notes up and asked someone else to see you as I didn't know if you'd be ok with it being me. I guess it can be a bit weird being asked questions about your health by someone you know - and probably worse by the fact its someone you only just know rather that a good mate. I've delivered a friend's baby and she was fine about it but I know other friends who have said no way would they want someone they know there when they have the baby.

LouiseSJ · 19/10/2007 18:54

Hi Stripey. I have absolutely no problem with you seeing my notes or seeing me at the hospital for routine appointments. I just think I would be happier for a complete stranger to be delivering my baby. I know I'm being a prude but I don't want someone I know seeing me in that situation. But then, as mrspnut said, I probably won't care who sees me when the time comes!

Can you do a meet up after half term as that seems to be best for everyone else?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 19/10/2007 19:08

I can do either the Monday (any time) or Thurs morning after half term.

mrspnut · 21/10/2007 21:13

I can do the monday after half term, thursday morning is toddler group.

LouiseSJ · 22/10/2007 10:57

I can do Monday too. That will be Monday 29th won't it? How about a lunch time meet up somewhere in town?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 23/10/2007 22:30

Sounds good to me. Anyone got a preference for a venue?

mrspnut · 24/10/2007 08:55

Sounds good to me - you lot make the decision and I'll turn up. I'm away now until saturday so I'll just have a look when I get back and turn up on Monday.

LouiseSJ · 24/10/2007 17:18

How about The Ritz on High Street. It's good for cheap food and drink and there is something on the menu to suit everyone. Unless anyone has a better idea.

Shall we say 1pm on Monday 29th?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 24/10/2007 22:31

Ritz is fine by me, will see you there on Monday!

ktmoomoo · 25/10/2007 11:39

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 26/10/2007 15:55

mrspnut · 28/10/2007 16:59

I'm home again and will see you at the Ritz tomorrow lunchtime.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 28/10/2007 16:59

Hi Louise, are you still on for tomorrow?

LouiseSJ · 28/10/2007 20:20

Hi Stripey and mrspnut. Look forward to meeting you both at 1pm tomorrow at The Ritz.

If anyone else sees this and feels like joining us please do so.

LouiseSJ · 07/11/2007 11:50

flossie64 · 11/11/2007 16:30

Hi everyone , hope you are all well .
I am getting back to normal now ,the holiday is almost forgotton.
I will have to get my act together and get the next one sorted.
Hope we can all meet up soon

mrspnut · 12/11/2007 13:25

Afternoon - I've been away and very busy doing stuff and neglecting my computer time.

I can't make this week at all, got soooooooo much going on but I can make any day except Thursday next week.

I'm off to London this weekend for a girly cooking weekend and we've just got back from Germany. In between, I've got a job interview, a drive to brid and back to get DD2, toddler group and the dentist to look forward to as well as filling the fridge for the family to be able to eat whilst I'm away.
