cbd - Congratulations. Looking forward to meeting you and your little boy. Let us know when you feel up to meeting up. It seems that Friday afternoons are best.

I'm hoping to get away on holiday some time this month. However, we are going camping so it will be a last minute arrangement depending on the weather. Am I mad to be going camping with an 8 month old baby?

Have a good weekend everybody.

I did it last year Louise, but then I wasn't pregnant as well.

Congratulations cbd.

Thank you, Hope to see you all soon, maybe without my crutches, I should be on them for another 3 weeks at least, but its hard using them and trying to deal with a LO at the same time. I've called my DS Tristan.

Hi everyone, I'm living in Lincoln, not been here that long, and don't really know anyone here! I have a 14month old son, so I'm a full time mum to him.

Hi everyone. Well we did it. We went camping last week with our baby and our dog. Fortunately we only had a little bit of light rain on Thursday. We managed to do a bit of walking, but with a baby in a pushchair and me being the size of an elephant it was nothing like the camping holidays that we used to have where we would walk all day up and down hills and through fields of cows and stopping off at a pub for a couple of pints. This time we stopped at a pub and I had to settle for a pint of coke!

It is still very quiet on here. I expect those of you with school age children are busy keep them entertained for the school holidays.

KellyS - Welcome. I moved to Lincoln about a year and a half ago so I know how you feel. It is difficult when you don't know anyone.

How about a meet up this coming Friday (5th September). I know Friday afternoons are best for mrspnut. How about everybody else?

We usually meet at about 1pm and either at Starbucks on Tritton Road or Alexanders at the Carlton Centre because both are easy to park at.

Which place would be best for you?

1pm on Friday is good for me. I can get to either of the venues suggested or we could go to the cafe in Asda Living. For anyone who doesn't know, it is the opposite side of the road to Starbucks. There is free parking and the coffee is cheaper. However, TK Maxx is next door which means I will have to go in and will probably end up spending money in there!

Shall we try the asda living cafe then, there's less chance of twitty men who are trying to run their business empire from there.

1pm is fine for me as well.
