Hi Orderlysmile welcome,
I have two boys, 2 and 5 year old, I live in Putney. I work part time from home, doing company accounts.

Have you seen the meet up in Cho San restaurant 8pm monday?

StarryStarryNight · 21/07/2007 11:21

Grrr, I post double, and I post wrong.
It is of course on TUESDAY!

ComeOVeneer · 21/07/2007 15:51

LOL starry, I thought there was another change in a meet-up. Tis getting impossible.

StarryStarryNight · 21/07/2007 16:33

No CoV, no change, still 8pm Cho San Tuesday!
Anyone else?

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 17:41

Hi all, orderly I'm in Brentford as well with a 17 month ds!

Just finished reading the Harry Potter book! Very annoyed as my amazon copy still hasn't arrived so had to go out and buy one!

foxcub · 21/07/2007 18:50

Welcome orderely [waves]

So who is meeting up on Tuesday then? O'm getting confused!

StarryStarryNight · 21/07/2007 19:14

Hi Foxcub, so far it is me, COV and Mrs Recycle, the thread is HERE

Think we need some more people! Up for some Sushi?

foxcub · 21/07/2007 20:58

Thanks starry. Don't think I could cope with a restaurant atm...bit too grown up and I can't part from DS2 (not ready IYKWIM)

Have a fabby time though - sounds great

mellow2 · 21/07/2007 21:19

Wow, rosmerta, you must be a speed reader! The book was only available today. How did you manage to get through it so quickly?

Any change I can borrow it off you? Please, please, please. [grovel, grovel, grovel]

We were going to take advantage of the WH Smith offer today and buy £15 worth of stuff and get the book for £6.99 except we couldn't manage to buy £15 worth of stuff not including mags.

Did you see my question about Brentford library story time? Dd is starting to get interested in stories so I thought we could start going to the Brentford library story time.

Oops, just saw paddle's post!

Thanks for the info, PC.

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 21:23

Sorry, mellow, I must have missed it . Afaik, they're still running it through the summer. DD can also collect stickers and after she gets 5, she'll get a little certificate. Ds has got 3 now and they look really sweet on his wall!

I ended up buying the book from the children's bookshop on Northfields Ave, as Amazon didn't (& still haven't) delivered it! Plus I had the day to myself so I could just read it straight through, but I am usually a fast reader as well!

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 21:44

Oh, and yes you can borrow it!

mellow2 · 21/07/2007 22:10

Thank you very much, rosmerta!! Can I come and collect it tomorrow?

I promise to treat your book with utmost care. I know you keep your books in pristine condition.

OP posts:
mellow2 · 21/07/2007 22:12

Yes, I think dd will like having stickers. She's quite into Charlie and Lola and they do sticker books.

Do you remember the name of the children bookshop in Northfield Ave?

OP posts:
foxcub · 21/07/2007 22:26

Is there a children's bookshop in Northfield's Ave? ...never spotted it...

DD loves XCharlie and Lola to

I thought Asda were selling HP for £5.50???

mellow2 · 21/07/2007 23:14

I think they are selling it for £8.87, according to Beebs.

morning all

foxie, thanks for the sanctuary yesterday arvo. you're new house is fabulous! was lovely to see you.

a slightly better night in the paddlehouse. little paddle slept till 7am! unfortunately paddleneighbours had another wild night until about 5am ffs. i stole a march and went to bed at 10pm so i'd had a bit of sleep before they kicked off about 1ish.

if i'd had the energy i'd have got up and gone round there to complain but as it was it was just enough to doze thru. bloody gniles (sp?) berkley running thru my head now tho.

think we'll head to kew this arvo if anyone's around?

rosmerta · 22/07/2007 10:14

The bookshop on Northfields is The Owl & the Pussycat, lovely little shop. They are selling it for full price though.

Mellow, we should be at home around 1-ish if you want to pop round then.

Paddlechick666 · 22/07/2007 11:36

okay, i splurged in Tesco and bought HP for a tenner. could've got it for a fiver if i'd spent over £50 but really couldn't justify that without buying loads of wine and i've decided to stop drinking on weekdays.

newsbreak: dd has figured out how to undo the fridge lock!

StarryStarryNight · 22/07/2007 11:44

uh oh, Paddlechick, break-ins ahead!

Another Newsbreak:
DS2 has figured out how to open the front door, break-outs ahead!
(cant put off getting a security chain any longer!)

You coming on tuesday, or too busy with new flat?

Paddlechick666 · 22/07/2007 11:57

tbh, i'd stopped using as she'd stopped trying to get into the fridge for a while. only the last week she's started nicking babybels out of the door after tea and giving herself a tummy ache at bedtime.

so it's gone back on but she's strong enough and dextrous enough to get it off now! s'okay tho, i haven't bought any babybels this week LOL.

scary moment when she grabbed a bottle of wine and nearly dropped it on ceramic tiled kitchen floor - eek!

luckly front door catch is way way way out of reach so no break-outs on the horizon.

can't do tuesday as i am lone parent so no (free) babysitter.

Paddlechick666 · 22/07/2007 11:59

ps: that sounds like dd doesn't get enough to eat but believe me she does!

also, I can spell if I really want to......

StarryStarryNight · 22/07/2007 12:14

Thats ok, Lol, we all have our fishy moments... I am sorry I wont get to see you on tuesday.

faylisa · 22/07/2007 13:41

Hi all. Would have liked to come on tuesday but ds still needs feeding every 3 hours and dd has started waking up in the night again, for no apparent reason, so I'm generally in bed by 9 at the moment to avoid melt-down! When, if ever..., I have some energy again I'd love to come along and meet everyone.
