Brand new thread for July.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 13/07/2007 19:51

we can discuss alternative plans if the weather is rubbish when Ele arrives at 11ish tomorrow.

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 20:02

What was the other thread you got deleted KC? tell, tell, tell...

Kewcumber · 13/07/2007 20:06

it was Ele's thread - she can tell...

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 20:09

Oh, was it your hug thread?

Kewcumber · 13/07/2007 20:11

I'm not sure why it was deleted I hadn't been posting today. I know that people were beginning to pile into a ceertian poster a bit so perhaps it all got a bit much.

Trouble is when people are vile on one thread the temptation to trsh them on another is sometimes irresistable.

butterbeer · 13/07/2007 20:18

ggglimpopo suggested that maybe everyone could stop raking over their by-then detailed analysis of the inner workings of Anna's psyche, and someone called Caroline something was very rude and patronising to ggglimpopo (and said that if anyone didn't like it they could report her posts), and then some people piled in (in a polite way) to defend ggglimpopo, and then it got deleted. I'm not sure which aspect was responsible for the thread's being deleted.

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 20:21

I'm always taken a bit by surprise when the threads in MN get nasty like that, guess I like the rose-tinted view of it!

SushiMummy · 13/07/2007 20:24

Maybe Anna herself asked MNHQ to delete it? Well, I spent most Wed/Thur lurking so it's probably best deleted, I think.

SushiMummy · 13/07/2007 20:25

How did the photo shoot go, QC?

eleusis · 13/07/2007 21:46

Oh, how sad. Was my hug thread deleted? Oh well, at least I got away with calling her a bitch on this thread. And hey it's still standing... althoug I suspect this post might get deleted.

Right, the munchkins and I shall be on your doorstep around 11ish tomorrow. I have them into the crech at Amida so I can go attemptto bur a bit of fat off of my rather large arse. I hope the poor treadmill can cope.

Anyway, we'll be coming straight from the gym so I will probably not be around on mn in the morning.

Hopefully no rain tomorrow, but I have seen mixed reviews. Perhaps it will hold off until after the school fair. BTW, what school is it?

Kewcumber · 13/07/2007 22:04

Its Kew Riverside School about a 10/15 min walk from me

Kewcumber · 13/07/2007 22:07

photo shoot went well I think. DS wouldn;tsmile much but did look curely solemn, I had to have hair and make-up though to be homest my hair didn't look any different! make up was reasonably natural so I just like a slightly more poliched version of my normal self. I had to change clothes so they got a selection of looks. It was quite hard work keeping DS occupied and reasonably content for 90 mins.

I hope I can get a few of the photos for myself. Think the photographer actually works for the magazine so I think the magazone should give me some.

foxcub · 13/07/2007 23:08

Kew - that sounds so glamorous! Is it in the October edition?

Ele - I quite enjoy a good ruck on MN threads sometimes - but sometimes the threads make school playgorund politics seem grown up

Kewcumber · 14/07/2007 09:19

Sept I think but Steppie could confirm. I feel that a new career in somethign glamorous awaits sadly though this morning I am back to the "couldn't give a shit suburban" look

stepfordwife · 14/07/2007 10:13

morning chaps
hope you're all well
paddle - lovely to have you back. yep, holidays can just leave you feeling in dire need of another holiday, can't they?

kew - glad shoot went ok. how could ds not look cute? sure they'll give you some pics, most mags do. yes it's in the oct issue which is on sale around sep 25, but will check exact date.

thanks for cappo yesterday, foxie - ds2 is just lush and your "new" kitchen is fab and you are getting more svelte-like by the day. bitch.

well, see everyone at riverside - am aiming for 11.30..ish
toddlepip

rosmerta · 14/07/2007 12:24

Which magazine will it be in?

Have a good time at the fair, ds absolutely shattered today due to lack of nap yesterday!

SushiMummy · 14/07/2007 15:25

Afternoon all. It was really good to see you at the fair today, QC, Ele, Steppie (sorry I kept calling you Steppie, not your real name - I do know your real name!) and Foxie. All your DC are so gorgeous! Sorry we were distracted by grumpy DS who was a bit hot'n'bothered.

Paddlechick666 · 14/07/2007 18:03

hey foxie, great to see you earlier. sorry i sugar-rushed your kids LOL! ds2 is utterly gorgeous, wanna cuddle next time.

am deffo going to offer £180k on that flat first thing monday morning.

am a teensy bit excited

stepfordwife · 14/07/2007 18:59

hi all

phew what a scorcher! so much for worries of rain..
grand to see you all and no worries, sushi, i'm not proud! not surprised ds was hot and bothered - it was bloody boiling.

ta for sarnies, foxie, rescued my dcs from eating eclusively popcorn and those manky spitty sweetie necklaces (mind you, they did have a smoothie..so that's all right....)

good luck with flat, paddle..

better go...sounds like the little treasures are killing each other.

xoxo · 14/07/2007 19:05

KC and ds in a magazine? all tarted up? what have I been missing?

btw, anyone know anyone who wants a fantastic nanny 2 days a week as I resigned from my job this week and am churning my heart over about my lovely nanny. If anyone knows anyone pls cat me, thanks.

is it possible to be sad, anxious and utterly relieved at the same time?

am at kiddies party tomorrow so will catch up with you on Monday.

Kewcumber · 14/07/2007 19:48

Am I llowed to say what mag its in steppie?

Sushi - I would consider Paddlechick a good friend now and still call her alternately Paddle with her real name. I think its cute!

Paddle - how exciting to make an offer - fngers crossed for you. Where is it there was no location on the link. Nothing like realising that you can own somewhere that will work for you and give you a new start to perk you up.

Sushi - nice to meet your DH and nice for someone to have a name I will remember (my brothers name). Sadly he is probably, like me, now rather red. People don;t beleive how badly I burn becasue I have brown hair and hazel eyes but I got the celtic skin to go with my mothe and sisters red hair and they got the tanning sort . I do remind my sister regularly though that wehnn we're 80, I'll have the skin of a 65 yr old and she'll have the skin of a 90 yr old. Funnily enough she doesn;t seem to care!

PAddle I know you rang earlier but this is the first 5 mns I've had all day.

Ele - nice to see you and the El'ettes. Hope the home popcorn is a success.

Oxo - why resign from the job?

Kewcumber · 14/07/2007 19:49

If the weather is OK tomorrow we are going to warn falconry near Theale

Paddlechick666 · 14/07/2007 19:57

evening all, QC, no worries about the phone call. the flat's just off Hanworth Road very near Crane Park and is a 2nd one I saw today. Somewhere between the nice one I didn't move fast on and the absolutely horrific one I saw first today.

they're all in the same area and it's an ex-local block with houses around. near to what appears to be a good school and i chatted to a local resident as i was leaving who assured me it's a nice area.

it's not exactly what i'd like but it ticks a lot of boxes and i need to get myself sorted. haven't put the offer in yet, will do 1st thing monday morning tho. it's on for 187,500 and am going to start at 180k.

am sure you can tell us what the mag is - sales will go up!

oxo, sorry to hear you've resigned/glad to hear you've resigned - delete as appropriate! can't help on the nanny front i'm afraid but don't feel too bad. going on what you've said she will find good employment quickly.

am planning a day at Kew tomorrow I think. poor dd did tesco, house viewings and kew retail today - hardly exciting for a 21m old.

i'm knackered tonight!

Paddlechick666 · 14/07/2007 19:58

ps: where is theale?

Paddlechick666 · 14/07/2007 20:03
