It was very good! I couldn't believe how quickly the time went, actually.

Hope to see you all again - online or in RL

Carmenere · 08/07/2007 00:30

Oh I missed the last train so had to leg it back to the mini cab office But I am home safe. I had a lovely evening, it was really nice to meet you all and the time totally flew by, I couldn't believe it was 10 past 11 when I looked at my watch. I am already looking forward to the next one

magnolia1 · 08/07/2007 00:39

I had a fab time too The time did fly by so no dancing!!!! Next time??

StarryStarryNight · 08/07/2007 01:01

I had a great time too, thank you all! Busy preparing for the cycle ride tomorrow before ged! night night all!

StarryStarryNight · 08/07/2007 01:26

BED, not ged. glad you are all home safe and sound.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 08/07/2007 20:05

I had a good time last evening as well and got home safely. The DCs woke me up much too early (as usual) but at least I'd had the whole bed for myself to sleep in as DH was away. I'd like to meet you all again.

cylonbabe · 08/07/2007 23:33

i'm sorry i missed it. but dad came in from abroad and havent seen him since chrisstmas. could not not go to see him, iyswim.
magnolia, about the other thread. yes you did call me lazy, but that was on that thread. thethreads stay separatee. and th emeetups are completely different kingdom all together.

when is the next one? please tell me it isnt in july or august. as will be difficult for me to make it to.

magnolia1 · 09/07/2007 13:02

Shame you missed it but of course seeing your dad was way to important to miss xxx

Not sure about the next one, I'm up for anytime

eleusis · 09/07/2007 15:19

Don't feel bad carmenere, last time I went out with Jura I missed the train too. Had to take a night bus from Waterloo to Kingston, and then get in a cab. I think I got home at around 3:00am.

Right, when is the next one? How about August? Do we want to do Wimbledon again or venture somewhere different? I can quite happily go anywhere from Sunbury to Central London. (Don't recommend Sunbury, it is rather dull)

eleusis · 09/07/2007 15:20

So cylon, what's this about you being lazy? (however, I must say as mumsnet insults go that one is rather tame)

OP posts:
StarryStarryNight · 09/07/2007 18:20

Isn't Wimbledon quite in the middle? Good for connections home? Only just saying that of course because it is easy for me to get to Putney. Unless you fancied coming to Putney, Lol! It was really nice meeting you all, so am keen to meet up again!

magnolia1 · 09/07/2007 21:57

Oh god I'm not gonna live down the lazy remark am I

Wimbledon is probably the furthest I can go, I don't live near any train/tube stations so have to rely on lifts or buses as I don't drive. Although If I know well in advance and lots of dancing is involved I will go anywhere!

eleusis · 10/07/2007 08:56

Magnolia, can't you do the train from Epsom and cab it from there? Or even train to Ewell West?

I'm happy to do Wimbledon again if that's what people want. Also, happy to work with Putney. Can some local people make some restaurant suggestions?

OP posts:
eleusis · 10/07/2007 08:56

Sorry, train to Epsom.

OP posts:
BecauseImTheFatLady · 10/07/2007 12:02

It would be nice to have somewhere with a round table next time, so that we can all hear everyone.

Which probably means Chinese?

magnolia1 · 10/07/2007 12:16

Yeah round table sounds good, so does chinese But I'm easy when it comes to food.

I could cab it to Epsom but Dh would not let me go home on the train Its not really a problem coz I will arrange for my mum or sister to come get me

eleusis · 10/07/2007 13:56

Why can't you go home on the train?

Sounds like Chinese in or near Wimbledon? Anyone have a recommendation?

OP posts:
magnolia1 · 10/07/2007 15:59

I can but he would just worry to much Is Kingston out of the way? Theres a big chinese place there. I don't know wimbledon very well so probably not the best person

eleusis · 10/07/2007 16:39

Kingston is great for me -- and probably for Jura too. But we might lose a few of the others.

OP posts:
magnolia1 · 10/07/2007 16:46

Oh Don't wanna do that, can wait till they see this and see

eleusis · 10/07/2007 16:51

ok, but don't go calling them names (i.e. "lazy") or we might lose them that way too.
