Hi ladies

Since our thread seems to have disappeared from Chat, this is a reminder that we are booked to meet on 7th July, but I am about to change it to 14 July, in North Oxford. I will phone him soon. Honest. I will also find out whether a bouncy castle fits in the hall.

We will aim vaguely for:

mid morning arrival, tea/coffee, play etc. There's a playground across the road, toys inside the hall, a river with ducks nearby.

12.00 lunch - baked potatoes, various fillings, salad. Possibly barbeque bitsnpieces too.

12.45 optional visit to nearby park with larger playground, duckpond, crazy golf, icecream shop (5 minutes drive)

15.00 prayer and praise session. There's a pub over the road (with a bouncy castle in the garden!)/long country walks/a busstop into the City nearby for any dhs who need to escape.

16.00 tea: sarnies, pasta salad, quiche, pizza

16.45 walk to the local river/ducks and/or depart when you like.

So far for the 14th we have

CaptainDippy, MrDippy, Sprog x 3 (aged 3, 2 and tiny),
Weirdbird, Moominpapa, Sprog x 2 (aged 4 and very smallish),
Mary, + 2 (aged 7 and 4),
Roseylea, + 2 (aged 3 and 6),
Mufti (possibly Mr Mufti ? at a distance - plus 1 aged 1)
NQSTM + 1 (aged 3. DS1 aged 7 may be around later!)

Also possibly
Zippidisooz, plus MrSlooz, Sprog x 3 (aged 10 and 3 and 3)
Fannyannie ? plus dh plus 3?
Peachyclair (plus Mr Peachey + 2 sprogs??)
CaptainCaveman (plus children - how old are they CCM?)
PandaG and Mr Panda
Mumtogusandalbie ? plus parents? plus gus and albie - you can possibly make it if we're changing to the 14th, can't you?!

NSFN (plus 4?) but probably too far. Do you want me to see if there might be accommodation with a local church family for the Friday night?

Plus anyone else who would like to sign up.

Hold that roll call - DD has suspected German Measles... Dr's appt this evening to find out for sure. She's upset because she's supposed to be in a play after school, and now she won't be

CaptainDippy · 12/07/2007 14:07

Sounds great! Not the measle obviously, Mary , but the meet-up. All excited in DippyLand! Yes, praying for sun .......

MaryBS · 12/07/2007 18:57

OK, its not German measles, the Dr THINKS its contact Eczema. However to be on the safe side, she (and DH) will not be coming this Saturday.

I still plan to attend though, probably with DS (if he behaves himself!)

CaptainDippy · 12/07/2007 19:24

Phew - glad it is not German Measles, Mary!! Glad you'll still be coming with your little man - good stuff!

MaryBS · 12/07/2007 19:26

As it'll just be DS, can we have the Jesus train song please? Do you need the words for it?

I'm relieved too CD re: the German measles!

PandaG · 12/07/2007 19:29

Phew glad it is not German Measles. Hope she is much better soon, and glad that you (and DS) can still make it Mary.

I'm sorry that I will not be able ot bring any baking, is the PTA barbeque tomorrow, at the Junior school this year, and i will be doing jobs all day, so no time to bake.

Looking forward to Saturday

CaptainDippy · 12/07/2007 19:44

Not Germans

Get on board! The Kingdom train is moving.
Get on board! Hear the whis-tle blow.
Get on board! If you want to follow Jesus,
Sh, sh, woo woo, itʼs time to go.

Wo-o woo! weʼll keep on moving.
Wo-o woo! to the journeyʼs end.
Wo-o woo! by the power of the spirit,
Weʼre travelling with Jesus on the Kingdom train.

(Last time)

Weʼre travelling with Jesus
Weʼre travelling with Jesus
Weʼre travelling with Jesus on the Kingdom train.

MaryBS · 13/07/2007 08:17

CaptainDippy · 13/07/2007 08:29

Never heard that one ....... sounds like fun!

PLEASE PRAY ...... our car's still in the garage - we don't know whether 3 car seats will fit into our courtesey car ..... if they don't ...... we won't be able to come. Please pray they fit when DH tries them later.....

MaryBS · 13/07/2007 08:50

Yes, its great fun! Am praying - you are NOT allowed to miss out young lady!

mufti · 13/07/2007 08:51

CaptainDippy · 13/07/2007 10:52

Thanks guys!

weirdbird · 13/07/2007 13:42

Gah I'm another one who is now unsure if they will make it, feel really ill atm, feels like someone is sitting on my chest, and want to cough all the time and generally feel like I am starting the flu. Please pray it will go away, I really want to come and meet all you guys!

CarGirl · 13/07/2007 13:51

CD if the car seats won't fit in put one in the front with the seat as far back as possible it should then be fine from the air bag point of view (or check and see if bag can be turned off)

Do I need to bring anything apart from lidded cups and appropriate weather clothing? Everyone please be nice to me am feeling very nervous.......

mufti · 13/07/2007 15:07

oh , dont be cargirl, i know what you mean though i am excited and nervous at the same time

have any of the rest met before?

Notquitegrownup · 13/07/2007 15:52

Ho Hum!

Well have dosed myself up on Hannahs medication as "everything" seems to say not to take while breastfeeding, and surely if she gets a mild dose of her meds in the breastmilk it cant be bad for her! Or thats my theory anyway...

Really do feel pants am just waiting for hubby to get home so I can go to bed

CaptainDippy · 13/07/2007 19:25

Awwwwww, WB - hoping you feel better soooooon, esp so you can come!!

Don't think that we haven't thought to put little P in the front cargirl - It's just I've got huge hips so bearly fit between the 2 toddlers seats in the back and DH has huge legs and doesn't fit in the back, full stop! TBH - I can't bear the thought of taking a 3 hour journey squished between two whinging, whining toddlers ...... I am sure you can understand that!!?

So there you have it.

Girls in bed now, so DH going out to see if he can get the three seats in the back ..... will keep you posted .....

CarGirl · 13/07/2007 19:27

Hmmmm if you can get one seat in the middle and one at the side you may have room at the other to squeeze in (with headphones on of course!) In most cars the tricky bit is doing the buckles up with the children in so to put up with that for one day could be doable IYSWIM!

CaptainDippy · 13/07/2007 19:31

yeah may be - would rather not though if I can help it at all. Just gutted our lovely new Ugly Bug Car is in the garage.

Notquitegrownup · 13/07/2007 19:34

Weirdbird - neurofen is fine whilst breastfeeding. I became an expert with several doses of mastitis during 6 years of feeding and it was definitely OK.

HTH

CarGirl · 13/07/2007 19:35

CarGirl · 13/07/2007 19:35

I can bring you some voltarol - ace stuff, also pescribed to me whilst breast feeding!
