i know silly neighbours

and i have been a very bad mother today, poor dd.

dentist was ok but i am doomed best not dwell

sfxmum · 02/05/2007 16:53

and btw it is not sad just very human of you, people can really suck all the energy out of you and frankly you need all of it to look after a small child

chin up

suejonez · 02/05/2007 16:53

Karim is very gentle - and David is cute and Welsh to boot (what more could a woman want!) COv Wlak is still on - do you want two pink balloons for your DC's to carry? I am going to charge 90p (I think) if I have to get laods but if it only a few will donate to the cause...

I assume walk will talk no more than 1hr (more like 40 mins I guess) from 11am so quick picnic before 2.30 say should be perfectly possible

suejonez · 02/05/2007 16:55

not sad at all - self presevation is a very strong instinct (and very healthy in my very humble opinion)

Paddlechick666 · 02/05/2007 16:56

cute, Welsh and available?

she says hopefully?

suejonez · 02/05/2007 16:57

ah no sadly not available, but a girl can dream... [sigh]

foxcub · 02/05/2007 17:05

MrsR - ooh am excited now at the thought of some sea air!!!

sfxmum · 02/05/2007 17:17

mrsR so what is the name of the place? trying to convince dh that we should still go away somewhere and we should book today but we need a sandy beach

foxie dd has spent the day clutching a drWho sticker book and wearing a Thomas the tank engine hat - so geek girl is born - well done sfx

MrsRecycle · 02/05/2007 17:22

Camber Sands - do a search on the Owl in Camber Sands they might have some rooms.

Foxie, I'll bring some sea air back for you!

foxcub · 02/05/2007 18:18

nurse-in

foxcub · 02/05/2007 18:19

sfx - I fully approve of your DD

ComeOVeneer · 02/05/2007 18:29

Sue, put me down for one ballon for dd (ds is staying at home with dh then meeting us for the fair (without his nap it will be horrible for dh especially if I am out for the night).

pudding77 · 02/05/2007 19:23

Sfx - good job with dd

CoV - really hope this gets sorted quickly for you, sounds horrible.

MrsR - are you still heading over tomorrow?

suejonez · 02/05/2007 19:35

what fair, Cov?

ComeOVeneer · 02/05/2007 19:38

Just her primary school fair Sue. Doing the good mother bit .

suejonez · 02/05/2007 19:40

just concerned for a minute that I was missing out on a social event. we single mums have to keep our social lives active you know.

pudding77 · 02/05/2007 20:47

just watched an episode of Dr Who, who was it that quite fancied the face of boe ?

ComeOVeneer · 02/05/2007 20:58

Sue if your social calendar is empty at the weekend cal me you are welcome for lunch/BBQ etc anytime we are home.

suejonez · 02/05/2007 21:15

social calendar is packed this weekend! But thanks for the offer. Apparently there is an old fashioned fete at Sheen Home Guard (yes Shee Home Guard!) this Sunday if anyone fancies it...

Paddlechick666 · 02/05/2007 22:16

okay tell me about night terrors and why my c-section scar is itching?

dd just started crying and moaning which escalated so i went up. she was actually still asleep but it escalated and she was so upset. great heaving sobs, thrashing around, couldn't be consoled.

i got some medised down her and it took another good 5 mins for her to start to calm down.

poor little thing. she's got a huge tooth coming thru but no temp or anything. could it be just a bad dream?

foxcub · 03/05/2007 06:53

Sue - where is Sheen Home Guard - sounds interesting..

Puds - it was stepford who clearly likes older men (e.g face of boe)

PC - that sounds crap. When is your life going to get fun again, that's what I want to know. Seems to be one big challenge atm

Paddlechick666 · 03/05/2007 07:38

tell me about it foxie.

i also noticed that dhh's car has gone when i went to collect dd from CM.

it was deffo there tues, didn't notice yesterday am if it was there or not.

so the cowardly git has been here to collect it and couldn't even knock on the door.

tosser!

my only conclusion is that it's me and he doesn't have the spine to just say so and move on.

quokka · 03/05/2007 08:11

pc its not you its HIM! Don't think like that, its not healthy.

Ds1 went through night time terrors, and they soon grow out of it. I found my aromatherapy sleep potion worked, and also having some thing to cuddle in bed - but I'm sure she has this already? Maybe a night light might be useful, but if she isn't waking up fully then this might not work

quokka · 03/05/2007 08:22

right I kinda feel semi human again! Called up all estate agents yesterday and gave them all a kick up the arse and have some more viewings - so hopefully this place will rent soon.

Condo is still in negociations - they really like to haggle over there. Am starting to feel really nervous about the move. It was so funny looking at places, they love toilets and bathrooms, sometimes there was more of those than bedrooms????? All the condos have bomb shelters, which the maid lives in . Can you believe it, no windows in a tiny little room! Dh got his dimensions wrong and looks like will be be down grading in size, so this is why we are buying, as you get much more for your money. So do you think the 13 floor will be unlucky? Thought about getting a landed house which the locals hate, you get loads of outdoor space. Only problem is you get cobras, so I think we might leave that till the boys are older and can run faster

pudding77 · 03/05/2007 08:52

quokka, glad you're feeling better! If you need a hand with anything then give me a call. Btw, I actually drove the other day to Kew retail

Paddle - agree with quokka, definitely not you.

Not sure what we're up to today, we'll probably just hang around this morning then go to storytime at the library this afternoon.
