sorry girls, I meant to post earlier to say I enjoyed all of your company last night, but have been feeling very low today. Got in last night and both children were asleep but my poor mum had been subjected to my neighbours noise all night. The parents who live next door are always going away and they leave their 2 teenagers behind and they just run riot. last night they had their friends round and they were really drunk and loud, with all the windows open etc. we have tackled them about it almost every friday night since we moved in and they give us lip service but nothing changes. last night at 1am I had enough and went round again. they were so lippy you wouldn't believe it. I would have been mortified when I was a teenager if the neighbours had complained but they didn't give a hoot. I said I was going to talk to their parents when they got back and the girl was like " go for it" and the boy said "you can't expect us to be silent for you" (er why not at bloody 1am) so I feel absolutely horrible today. If my dh was here he would be fantastic as he is really cool in situations like this, doesn't lose it, but managages to make his point, I get all emotional and upset!!!!!! So I'm a bit low today, but thanks for last night, had a great time x

fastasleep · 27/11/2004 19:49

awww leglebegle I feel really really just... bloody crap today lol and no I wasn't drinking on the sly! Have no idea what's got into me, but I just want to cry! But enough about that..

I have a dilemma! I got this email from my MIL - 'We are having the day off next friday as it is my birthday, and have decided to go to Chester Zoo if the weather is reasonable or Blue Planet Aquarium if it is nasty. Wondered if you and Theo would like to come too? Let me know if you fancy the idea and have nothing more exciting planned'... does sticky fingers count as more exciting? And GOD I've never been anywhere on my own with them before! Ooh dear I don't know what to say now... I hate being brain-dead.. I think I'll reply tomorrow

julezboo · 27/11/2004 19:52

Hiya hun

have you complained to the enviromental health when i first got my flat we had this we we used to live in skem, someone had been kicked to death for knocking and asking people to turn their music down so we were waned not to knock just keep a diary, kids can be so thoughtless sometimes. i kno whow tiring and frustrating it can be.

well thought my sil was staying tonight to cut my hair she asked me to meet her in town n help her here with the kids i got there ( didnt take much money ) to be dragged round all day while she shopped n then she bloody went home anyway so will have to go to a hairdressers now lol. im sat here watching tabby on xfactor hes soo lovely i just told tony im leaving him for tabby haha in me dreams.

Hi all!
Legle - sorry you have been having neighbour problems. hope the parents give the brats what for once you/your husband get a chance to speak to them.

Fastasleep - erm -if we go to Granmas one day - thursday/wednesday whenever suits everyone best - and if the weather is half decent, could go to a park one day???? town is horrible and full of xmas shoppers so best to be avoided with a posse of babies and buggies

Hi there, the neighbours from hell have been mighty quiet since friday night. I will be speaking to their parents for sure when they get back from wherever they are. Had a good weekend in the end as successfully potty trained George who I have to say has been a complete star, with only 2 accidents. Hope you are all well. I will be at grandmas on thursday morning, george is now happy to tear around on his own without me so if anyone fancies a coffee and chat, I'll be there. I am really going to try and not log on to mumsnet this week as the chat threads (apart from this one) have been driving me mad. There are some people who post who are nothing short of insane, and it winds me up and then I think I'm the insane one because I don't even know them so why does it bother me???!!! I'm sure you can all relate. I will check our thread though, but if anyone wants me, cat me, I'll still be checking emails daily. Love to all and hopefully see someone on Thursday x

fastasleep · 28/11/2004 20:49

Hey legle, it bothers me too, and it has got really heated in certain places around here recently - don't take it to heart though hun! you're an intelligent woman with matching opinions!

mishi9123 · 28/11/2004 22:19

julezboo · 29/11/2004 18:43

what do u mean confuse lol

fastasleep · 29/11/2004 20:27

Well it's Theo's gran's birthday day off so it would be kinda weird if all my friends turned up lol!

MummyToSteven · 29/11/2004 21:02

fast - or anyone else - I'll be around Wednesday. what I thought might be nice is if there was any library toddler story/song sessions on. anyone know if there is such a thing going on on Wednesday? Bron has mentioned there being one on Tuesday mornings at Picton.

julezboo · 30/11/2004 11:34

Im working with my mum tomorrow but am deffo gonna make it to grandmas on thurs

leglebegle · 30/11/2004 12:26

great, should see some of you on thursday. I'll be there from about 10.30am. thanks for kind words fastasleep, I am trying not to log on to 'active conversations' but will probably end up on there anyway .......

MummyToSteven · 30/11/2004 12:28

it's addictive, isn't it legalbegle. have vowed several times just to look at a few topics, but have never managed that. just one of those things - some people see having a good old barney as one of the purposes of MNetting. guess it takes all sorts. i try and avoid flashpoint subjects but easier said than done!

leglebegle · 30/11/2004 12:49

MTS - there's a woman on there called wigandrobe who is doing my head in. she is dispensing legal advice to all and sundry and some of it is not right. I don't even think that should be allowed to be honest, she is going above and beyond the general advising people. she seems to have set herself up as the resident lawyer of MN and she is sending forms to people and offering to appear in court for them. I thought it must just be me as no-one seemed to pick up on it (although others have shown disbelief at some of the things she says) but I have been CAT'd by someone else, another lawyer who is also concerned. I can't believe the moderators haven't stepped in really. But if you say anything to her 100 people reply saying "stop being mean, she's giving great advice". Trouble is they don't know if it is or it isn't. Anyway, rant over, I just have to STAY AWAY FROM THE BOARDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MummyToSteven · 30/11/2004 12:52

i'll CAT you with my views on this, if that's ok

leglebegle · 30/11/2004 14:28

Of course!

fastasleep · 01/12/2004 11:28

Anyone up to anything early next week? I have nothing to do Mon/Tue/Wed... if we can't think of anywhere to go you could come to mine to see my 1970's house with tacky xmas deccies lol and have coffee/tea.../ home-made cake? Anything, anyone? Lol... I'm crap at finding groups to go to!!
