As the last one, altho only 4 attended was very sucessful, I've decided to start a new thread.

How about we meet up on a Friday Evening as that seemed to be popular with most mums. Or we can always do a day meet up with kiddies.

Much as I love & adore my DS, the evening one was much more relaxed and enjoyable, so I vote for that one.

Now lets choose a date????

LunarSea · 04/10/2004 21:41

Coleshill area's fine here too.

LunarSea · 05/10/2004 10:40

Another possible venue? Do any of you know the Green Man at Middleton - east of Sutton, just off the Coleshill to Tamworth road (near Ash End House Farm if any of you have ever been there)? (map ) It's part of the same group as the Heron's Nest, so fairly similar ambience, etc, and we've had good meals there in the past.

MadameButterfly · 05/10/2004 10:55

The Green Man, that brings back memories. We used to go there quite a bit when we first moved to Sutton.

DD loves the slide BTW. I will try to post some photo when I am at mums later this month.

CHRIZ · 05/10/2004 10:55

Sorry know as i dont ever really travel up that way at all

CHRIZ · 05/10/2004 10:59

Sorry lol meant no dont know it sadely at all

Ronniebaby · 05/10/2004 22:45

LS - The Green Man is a lovely pub, but gets very busy, all the time, and is quite small ish.

Also please dont think you have to come to Tamworth for me, as I said before, whilst I'm still working, I'm still driving, I suggested Coleshill or Stonebridge as they both have parking and its almost equal between me in Tamworth and the gals in Solihull.

Chriz - sorry to be rude, but who are you???

Also there is info on both pubs in this thread, see my posting on (By Ronniebaby on Thursday, 30 September, 2004 4:52:30 PM )

I hadnt really thought of a date, maybe the first week in November, as it's after half term so the kids will be back at school. ????

Ronniebaby · 06/10/2004 12:09

Hey Chriz no worries, I thought it was you, but just wanted to check.

Well I've just been told today that my 16yr old niece is expecting in March 2005 (OMG), silly girl.

She isnt quite the maturist of people and is now giving my sister the hardest of times, my sister said she wasnt going to give up her life for her grandchild, so my niece has now said, well I'll give it up for adoption or get it fostered, MATURE. But dont start me on it.

CHRIZ · 06/10/2004 23:42

WE defaintly going for the coleshill option ?

Ronniebaby · 07/10/2004 21:38

I'm easy Coleshill or Stonebridge, they are almost that close to each other anyway, I would have to go thru coleshill to get to stonebridge.

Anyone wanna suggest the actually day/date for our little excursion ?????

OP posts:
jampot · 07/10/2004 21:51

I'd prefer Coleshill myself as don't much like the one at Stonebridge. I can do week beginning the 1st or 8th of November and any night is okay with me

CHRIZ · 08/10/2004 10:20

hi there

wed or thru or fven fri nite is ok with either week will arrange baby sitter ok

yes will go for the coleshill one then jampot havent been to either so dont know what they are like to eat in

lets us know what nite is best for ev1 else

tc have a nice weekend all

Ronniebaby · 08/10/2004 11:09

I much prefer the Wedn night, fridays get to busy etc. So we looking at the 3rd or the 10th f November, I'm free on both dates.

The Coleshill one is a Harvester, and I know they can be samey but at least there is normally loads of choice, if we get about 4 - 5 I'll see if I can book a table.

I've eaten at the Stonebridge one and its ok, much better on a sunday for a carvery (yum yum), not eaten at the Coleshill one, but one harvester is much the same as the other .

CHRIZ · 08/10/2004 17:42

hi work wed which is one of our busy days

wouldnt be able to get ther till 7pm at the earliest

MumtoLaura · 08/10/2004 18:12

Hi,

I'm new to Mumsnet, but I live in Birmingham (Selly Oak) and was wondering whether I could come to your next meet up, or are you old friends?

jampot · 08/10/2004 18:20

Hi Laura - yes of course you can come - we've only met up a couple of times but are quite friendy. Welcome to MN

Ronnie is becoming heavily pregnant so the next meet will probably be in Coleshill - do you know it? if not we can always make arrangments to meet up and then travel together if you like. Any weeks or days to avoid?

MumtoLaura · 08/10/2004 18:39

Thanks Jampot,
I don't know Coleshill but I drive so anywhere is OK. Any evening but Friday is fine, Ronniebabys suggestions of the 3rd or 10th November are both good for me.
(Laura is my daughters name I'm Angela ).
