As the last one, altho only 4 attended was very sucessful, I've decided to start a new thread.

How about we meet up on a Friday Evening as that seemed to be popular with most mums. Or we can always do a day meet up with kiddies.

Much as I love & adore my DS, the evening one was much more relaxed and enjoyable, so I vote for that one.

Now lets choose a date????

Any Friday night is ok for me except August 6th.

MadameButterfly · 05/07/2004 18:28

Fridays are good for me.

I will be at te inlaws from 23rd July for 2 weeks looking after grandma but that should nor stop me going out as DP will be there with me.

MadameButterfly · 05/07/2004 18:29

Sorry, forgor to say I am going on holiday on 14th Augus, so cannot do 20th and would prefer not to do 13th as we will probably be setting off early on the saturday

LunarSea · 05/07/2004 18:59

I can't do daytimes, thanks to full-time job. Friday nights are ok though, but not July 16th, or the 20th or 27th August.

jampot · 05/07/2004 19:02

August is pretty free for me too although not sure when we're going on hols yet!!!

Ronniebaby · 05/07/2004 19:46

How about the 23rd July, it's a Friday Night????

Any other idea's?????

OP posts:
shopaholic · 05/07/2004 19:55

Great idea! Can't do July 16th or following week, but reasonably free apart from that (so far).

jampot · 05/07/2004 20:12

don't think I can do 23rd July as its the last day of term and therefore my daughter's leaving party at school - will check the times etc for picking up...

Ronniebaby · 05/07/2004 22:23

OK if the Friday is no good, what about the Thursday, I can always as DH to swop his night out, just for once, and I'm sure MB can ask her DP to do the same, if this makes it easier.

Otherwise we'll be into September before the next one with everyones hols etc.

Just a thought??????

OP posts:
LunarSea · 06/07/2004 01:28

Thursdays generally ok (though I'm usually in London so it's a bit of a rush to get back for 7.30) but actually worse than Fridays over the next couple of months. Definately not the 22nd July for me, and preferably not July 15th, August 19th or 26th either. Almost all Mondays to Wednesdays would be ok though.

Ronniebaby · 06/07/2004 01:55

I can do most nights, except Thursdays, but can ask DH to swap his night.

I'll leave it open to the floor, as to which night and date.

I'll keep checking regularly

ooh, Chinese food mmmmmmmmm

LunarSea · 14/07/2004 11:13

jampot - In Solihull is ok (though I probably won't actually be working there until sometimme in August, such is the rate at which the wheels of beauracracy turn), I just don't know the road names there. I should be able to find the A41 though, as new office is right where the top end of Warwick Road hits the town centre. (DH thinks I'm going to spend everything I save on fuel as I'll have easy access to shops for the first time in 6 and a half years - he's probably right too!)

Mind you the Orange Tree is nice, and if it was to be this side of Solihull we might be able to get a few of the other Warwick/Leamington area mumsnetters along too (lemonice/islandgirl/aku/Maximom - are you interested?)

chrissey14 · 14/07/2004 14:26

hi all

fri july the 30th then will amke a note

have u decided where we are meeting?

tc chrisseyxx

Ronniebaby · 14/07/2004 14:29

Jampot, are you trying to send me mental, taking me by my outlaws

LS - If you came thru Knowle past the orange tree etc, over the motorway, continued on the bypass, over several traffic lights, you would come to a T junction with lights, you would turn right and about (approx 1 - 1.5 miles) up the Warwick Road is a load of Shops, called Dovehouse.

Jampot the parking is a bit naff there tho.

Orange tree was nice or any of the others like the ones off Junction 4 (Plough, OldTavern/RoyalOak?? The Barn in Hockley or any others Jampot knows, she is the lady in the know)

Anyway, I have to drive so I'm easy where we go, I prefer not the TC on a Friday.

jampot · 14/07/2004 17:52

Being as though we all know it, how's about the Orange Tree then? 30th July at 8pm?

Be there or be square!!!!

(God it's years since I've heard that)

LunarSea · 14/07/2004 19:04

Had some good news today. I am getting a transfer to work from our Solihull office (about 2 mins walk from the town centre). It will take a few weeks to organise, but before long I should even be able to make a lunchtime town centre meetup.

Ronniebaby · 14/07/2004 19:27

Excellent - 30th July 8pm, no worries, see you all there.

For those who are coming and dont know anyone, my picture is on the moderators page, so you can look out for someone.
