PhoenixGirl · 27/02/2007 22:20

Hi stinkypete, thanks, unfortunately no to keeping the clothes

How r u? can u make any of little meet ups?

What days/times do u work?

gingermonkey · 28/02/2007 07:43

Yep Stinky it was (hence it's called 'the old woodyard'). Our house is practically in Earnshaw's back garden though!

gingermonkey · 28/02/2007 07:45

Sausage, I am jealous but I'm feeling poorly (with those germs your children gave mine!) so I'm taking Leo to nursery then crawling back into bed for a couple of hours (and that is making me very happy!!!). Have a sausage sandwich for me!!!

StinkyPete · 28/02/2007 13:15

phoenix, when are you meeting next?
i work mon, tues, wed; but we go to music on thurs's and toddlers fri's, so i'm v limited to when i'm free... i will be having some time off work at some time (for good behaviour!!)
stinky

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 20:18

Quite regularly, me and sausage went to leapfrogs this morning and i think we might be going again monday morning.

gingermonkey · 28/02/2007 20:25

Did you miss me today? I went back to bed this morning til 12, I felt like crap! And then I had to go into town to get Grace some fairy wings for world book day, wish I could have stayed in bed all day though. Did you have a sausage sandwich for me? I could really do with one now actually....

stinky where in exciting Midgley did you live? Obviously my imaginatively named road wasn't there, but what else was missing when you were a nipper? DH said that the black bull used to be somewhere you'd take your other girlfriend when he was a teenager!

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 20:55

No sausage sandwhich ginge. I had bacon and sausage was very good and had toasted teacake

I saw her dd2 cry today

sarahhal · 28/02/2007 21:53

at you being able to play at Leapfrogs. It's soooo hard being back at work after half term. Oh well, Thursday tomorrow which means it's almost the weekend ( work with me here, it keeps me going ok!)

Hope you are feeling better Ginger.

Phoenix, those pics are gorgeous by the way. Didn't know that your DS was doing it too. Is is the same people that Jack is with?

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 22:20

Hi yes its the same agency as Jack

He's got a casting tomorrow so hopefully he'll get some work from that too

SausageButtyMonster · 28/02/2007 22:24

We had great fun without you Ginger.wasnt missed at all...ha ha ha....

Phoebe slept for over 3 hours this pm which is very unusual for her...she was a tired girl this morning

StinkyPete · 28/02/2007 22:36

ginger, i grew up in midgley in the 70s. there were about a dozen houses, the black bull and the chapel was a chapel (not a house). we lived next door to the garage, below the woodyard, and the house across the road was the office. i'd guess that your house might be where the tanalising tank was and a stinky pool of toxic waste . it was a fab place to play - lots of huge rooms of sawdust instead of ball pools; conveyor belts and of course very sharp saws!! but there were all of 4 children in the village and most of our neighbours were related so we never got away with anything.

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 22:37

Glad she slept ok for you, she was very unhappy did she carry on eating when she woke up

gingermonkey · 01/03/2007 07:10

Stinky, that sounds great! It's sounds like my childhood. We had a dirty great river at the bottom of the garden that we'd poke sticks in. None of us ever tried to jump in, we were warned it was dangerous and I believed everything my Grandma told me! It really upsets me that we have no garden to play in (and I can see the hens and cockerels over the wall in the Earnshaw garden, makes me very jealous ). There's always a weirdo lurking in the woods so I don't like to wander about down there too much, and I certainly wouldn't let the kids go there alone (obviously not DS, he's only 16 mths - but DD will be 8 in august).

thethirdwisemonkey · 01/03/2007 10:19

Helloooooo, how are you ginge? still feeling grotty?
How are you all after Monday? I thought ds had PTSD and laughed at him for his drama queen antics. However, he started drooling loads of blood on Tuesday because of his teeth and now I feel like a bad mummy. I am sat in a corner thinking about what I've done.My penance is to get the paints out and get creative - oooh I'm really looking forward to cleaning up afterwards. What you up to everyone?
My mate is coming round with her one month old baby tomorrow - crikey, can't remember ds being that small have a super ace day.

gingermonkey · 01/03/2007 19:23

Poor baby monkey! I still feel like shit and today I went to little pumpkins to start socatots and it has been cancelled, for good. Nice of someone to phone me! I was not pleased and left a very polite message on the organisers phone asking him to contact me with an explanation. He hasn't bothered so far. However, the nice people at socatots Halifax have places next thurs and I am going to their course instead. Halifax is a bit of a trek though, isn't it??? The things we do for our future professional footballers . He'd better buy me an aston martin when he gets signed up by Man U (daddy's preference),or (mummy's preference) Real Madrid, Barcelona, Real Mallorca, Roma, in fact, anywhere in Europe that has decent shopping and some sunshine!!!

sausage / phoenix are we meeting up on monday morning?

PhoenixGirl · 02/03/2007 20:16

I'm gonna pass on Monday girls. Its my day off and dh is working afternoons so we can do something altogether on Monday morning sorry another time maybe.

gingermonkey · 03/03/2007 16:39

Never mind phoenix, have a good day with hubby and baby phoenix . What about you sausage?

SausageButtyMonster · 03/03/2007 19:15

I will be there with bells on....

gingermonkey · 04/03/2007 09:04

Leapfrogs? 10.30 or 10 am? Hope they have the grill ready for my sausages.....
I went to a party last night and I sang a Mariah song on a microphone in front of 70 odd people - I was ever so good (DH said so and so did lots of other people, see I can sing). Actually it sounded bloody awful from what I could hear but I don't think anyone expected me to do it. Also, some woman told me I was weird and freakish! I'd had loads of people tell me I looked really nice (party was a posh black tie do) and then I was having a cup of tea quietly with best mate and got told I was a freak. Charming. Drinking alcohol isn't good for people you know, that's why I was drinking tea, because I am sophisticated and posh

SausageButtyMonster · 04/03/2007 11:34

Hope you gave her a slap....
10 o/c and i think i might make mine a bacon butty for a change. Are we giving them lunch there?
Plus i expect you to sing for me tomorrow
bring your fabric

gingermonkey · 04/03/2007 16:51

I didn't slap her, but I wanted to . She kept going on as well, digging herself an even deeper hole! I actually looked rather lovely, and not weird at all! Stupid woman. She tried to redeem herself by saying her 12 yr old daughter would like my clothes - is that supposed to be a compliment, because I don't feel very flattered that a tweenie would want to wear my clothes???!!!
See you tomorrow at 10 saus x (yes, we'll give them lunch there)

PhoenixGirl · 05/03/2007 16:44

Did you have fun today? When is the next meet?

gingermonkey · 05/03/2007 17:48

We had lots of fun. I ate a sausage butty, a toasted teacake, and scampi and chips. I am a greedy monkey . We are meeting again next monday. What did you do today, Phoenix???
