ps, you remind me of my next door neighbour in an uncanny way but I'm presuming you don't have family in Midgley otherwise you would have mentioned it. Maybe you have a long lost cousin living close by?

no I don't have any relatives in Midgley but my dh has hair the same colour as one of the horses in the field on the way into Midgley.
I am traumatised aren't I ?

Phoenix, DD will be very jealous. Tonight she has asked to go to Haven on holiday. That's where Rory the Tiger is, isn't it? Those sun hols are really good value I don't see how they can make any money from them. One of the kids from DD's school (previous one, still a posh one tho ) goes every year with his mum and all the kids would get jealous (but the rest of us stuck up snobs wouldn't take ours). I am thinking of taking her though in May half term for a few days at Butlins with my friend and her dd.

We have some shaggy cows (highlands?) in the field over the road (when I say 'we' it's not actually our field or our cows, we just have a cat!) They have similar hair colour to you too! hee hee hee!

There may be Aberdeen Angus in my gene pool, however my hair colour is out of a bottle I'm more of a mangy old donkey brown really we've just been watching University Challenge - we are true intellectuals and take it v.seriously. I shouted at dh for talking over the arty farty questions and he accused me of cruching my garlic bread during the science questions. He won again, 12 - 9 - swotty pants

Phoenix i used to go to them in my youth...I love a caravan but cant fit 2 travel cots in them....

No Monkey, unfortunately the Earnshaws (them of Woodyard fame) seem to be the Lords of the Manor. I think where I live used to be part of their back garden (or something)

ginger, i believe where you live probably used to be the woodyard - before it moved down to the old pit site. I'm an estranged Earnshaw for my sins
