hiya ginge - monkey jr chucked the idea of brass rubbing and decided we were on a TA training course instead. I had to pull him out of the centre of a hedge at one point, lovely scenario of wisemonkey crawling on her belly through the undergrowth. It was like Rambo. Preggy mate watched and had a good laugh - cheeky.

SausageButtyMonster · 15/02/2007 22:25

DH at work but looks like he is getting it again....Phoebe is still rough too...
Elizabeth is being a sweetheart though.

StinkyPete · 15/02/2007 22:40

phoenix, i bet you'll know this. what happened to cod? did she go back to work in october last year - or leave in a huff? or perhaps i'm just missing a new name?

sarahhal · 15/02/2007 22:46

Oh I am so dense today. I thought PhoenixGirl had become SausageButtyMonster then thought she was talking to herself earlier
Oh well ....HALF TERM TOMORROW HURRAH
Sorry for shouting but I'm so excited!!

Off up to North Yorkshire on Sunday for a night without the boys

Hope you are all still on for next Friday!

PhoenixGirl · 15/02/2007 22:52

i believe cod is now icod. she disappeared for a while but is back now.

Why ask me do i seem sad enough to be on here all the time

I'm not sad enough to talk to myself though

SausageButtyMonster · 16/02/2007 19:47

Is everyone out tonight while i am home alone sucking throat sweets????

gingermonkey · 16/02/2007 19:58

sausage, I'm in but packing because I am going to my parents tomorrow in Suffolk. Me and DH are staying in a hotel overnight and the kids are with the oldies - a lie in!!!! whoo!!! I get very stressed when I'm going away that I'll forget something essential or the cat will die from hunger or something. It's very annoying for the rest of the family and really rather pathetic. Are still feeling rough then? I bet poor Phoebe's being a complete nightmare, did she stop smiling for a millisecond or something?!!!! God, that baby is soo good, and Leo is known as angel boy amongst my friends but she makes him seem like a demon! I went to pizza express today on a 'girly lunch' organised by my SIL. The monkey was very good, it was commented on by the waiter. I felt very proud He also had his hair admired by many - little curly ginger nut!

phoenix it's just me that talks to herself

PhoenixGirl · 16/02/2007 20:12

I do quite often talk to myself actually cos i kill loads of threads

SausageButtyMonster · 16/02/2007 21:38

Phoebe is getting better fingers crossed...still smiling..
I went to pizza hut (very high on codine) with a very pregnant friend...There was a bomb scar in town

How long are you leaving me for??
I wont be coming to leapfrogs this week....playcenters, 1/2 term and me dont mix...i just want to go round telling the other children off (the nanny in me). I also avoid going to McDs in school holidays.

StinkyPete · 18/02/2007 18:52

sausage - which town? do tell more??

SausageButtyMonster · 18/02/2007 20:59

Huddersfield

gingermonkey · 19/02/2007 10:36

Sausage, did you miss me??? I'm back now. Looks like you had an exciting time at pizza hut. Why would anyone want to bomb Huddersfield??? Except maybe an overzealous developer that fancies tarting the town centre up - it did wonders for the Arndale Centre in Manchester!!!!

Everyone. Are we all still meeting up friday afternoon???

thethirdwisemonkey · 19/02/2007 13:34

Ha Ha ginger you're back, did you have fun?? go shopping by any chance

gingermonkey · 19/02/2007 15:50

I had a lovely time, but did not go shopping (there's nothing to buy in Ipswich!!!) Tomorrow is a shopping day, I'm off to London with DH and the monkeys. Daughter monkey wants to go look at art 'but not Tate modern' (she said, she reckons she's been too many times - hark at her!) or museums. She fancies the Science Museum but I want to go to Tate Modern and see Gilbert and George. Baby Monkey will just want to act up and run around like a looney so it will be a very stressful day for me I think (which will only be made better by a bit of shopping!!!!!)
What delights are you up to this week?

sarah did you have a night of lurve last night?

thethirdwisemonkey · 19/02/2007 16:47

Wellllll my mum is over Tues/Weds, going out somewhere with preggy mate - even though she laughed at my foraging through hedgerow antics on Thursday, DH has Friday off so hopefully go off somewhere - he worked last Saturday - told me at the last minute so I huffed off to his mums. When I got home he'd been waiting for me for 2 hours cos he didn't have any house keys and my moby was switched off. I was such a grumpster it made me Are you still going to the Boobara sesh on Monday what time is it???
Don't know if Jill will be coming - other preggy mate, gawd there's loads of them - as she was in hospital last week with placenta previa (sp?). Right off to collect dh from work now as his car is knacked.
monkey Jnr says RAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR

SausageButtyMonster · 19/02/2007 16:53

Ginger missed you desparately. Beden very lonely without you.

gingermonkey · 19/02/2007 18:05

Boobara is at 10.30 I think. No,just looked at diary, it's at 10.45 but we should turn up a little early to make sure we don't delay the class (says Boobara). I'm still going, sausage is coming too with her 2 (the baby just screams the whole time and I've never seen it smile - it's a miserable child!!!! ha ha ha Just wait til you see it). Looks like you have a busy week ahead of you monkey. I'm hoping for some peace and quiet but that won't be til next week when DD is back at school. Although she's been really good so far and just ate all her dinner without moaning (and told me the meatballs I'd made with my own bare hands were better than the ones from the Farm Shop!!!!) I made some flapjacks today but they taste more like biscuits. I can't bake to save my life!, they are quite tasty (better than last week's shortbread!)
sausage I'm glad you missed me, looks like you won't be coming out to play this week if it's half term. What about venturing somewhere else other than a play centre????

sarahhal · 19/02/2007 18:23

Hello all! Had a fab time up in North Yorkshire even if I did think we were staying in Masham but had actually booked a pub in Reeth which is about 30 miles away

Who is up for Friday then? Are you Ginger? Is Phoenixgirl? Is there anywhere else we could go if Sausagebutty can join us? I can just bring DS2 (18 months) if it makes it any easier for us to meet somewhere else as DH off work so he can have DS1. Am tempted to say to all just come round here for coffee but know I would regret it and get into a "Oh my house is such a shit tip" crisis and get very stressed out.

PS Ginger. Yes thanks A rare occasion indeed

trace2 · 19/02/2007 18:25

hijack sarah i just want to say thank you so much for the things you gave me we really appreciate them!

and did you go to party yesterday>? i could not i fell been in agony since

gingermonkey · 19/02/2007 18:31

I have no idea where anywhere is in North Yorks, I'm useless with geography! I did go to the Forbidden Corner once a couple of years ago, that's up there somewhere! It was great, but not pushchair friendly so it will be another year or so before i go back with ds. I'm up for friday, sarah. I can do the afternoon. I'll only have ds because dd is going out for the day with daddy. Maybe sausage can think of somewhere that won't give her a nervous breakdown. I know what you mean about inviting people round - my house is an absolute shit hole at the moment, despite being tidied every 2 minutes!!!! I don't understand how it gets so messy though, and where does all the washing come from? I don't think I wear that many changes of clothes in a week but it just seems to breed quietly in the corner and new baby piles of washing are born every few minutes!

sarahhal · 19/02/2007 19:01

Oh we passed the Forbidden Corner on the way up. What is it?

Trace - I wondered if you weren't well when you weren't at the party. They had a good time and it wasn't too manic thankfully.I must see you about the car seat as it's a bit tricky to fit, so we must meet up before you have her!!!! Hope you are not in too much pain.

We'll just keep friday aft flexible then shall we and just see what people want to do?

gingermonkey · 19/02/2007 19:37

The Forbidden Corner is a maze, but not in the traditional sense (not like the maize maze at Cawthorne). It's a garden that has lots of different parts to it that the kids can explore, but there's a set way round that you go (like a maze). There are stepping stones and sprinklers and statues that squirt you, so it's best to go when it's warm!!! I can't really explain it without it sounding a bit crap but it's great and DD loved it. I haven't heard anyone say they haven't liked it actually. You need to book in advance, they only let so many people through at a time. You should give it a try this summer. I think I might try and take ds late on this summer, I'm really wanting to go back.
We can leave fri flexible and see what the others are up to, phoenix should be lurking about somewhere and it was her meet up so she'd better be coming!!!

PhoenixGirl · 19/02/2007 19:51

I think Barnsley schools were off last week cos trace2's ds was off and goes back tomorrow so we could go somewhere here maybe cos it should be quiet. Don't ask me where tho cos i don't know anywhere.

thethirdwisemonkey · 19/02/2007 19:53
