hotel

and yes i am showing off....cant wait

gingermonkey · 26/02/2007 08:11

Oooh, that looks nice. Grace wants to go to Butlins but dh says noooooo! I must admit the advert does make it look alright and not like centre parks (which I have a violent aversion to) at all! Maybe I should take her for a long weekend?....
We are going to Mallorca (sounds posher when you say it like that!) in March and then somewhere in Spain (near Portugal but I don't know where - my friend booked it) in August (when it will be HOT HOT HOT!). And SIL's family have just bought a place in Nice so we are going away (hopefully) in July. This miserable weather is getting me down, I need some warmth on my little bones. Phoenix, Grace also wants to stay in a caravan, so if you want you can come with us and she can go with your dh and Lewis!

sarahhal · 26/02/2007 16:03

Where abouts in Scotland are you going Phoenix? We were up there last May in a caravan and had a fab time! We may well go again for Easter but this summer will def be in a tent - not even a caravan!

sarahhal · 26/02/2007 16:04

So go on then you lot, how was the music

SausageButtyMonster · 26/02/2007 16:19

Music was slow...had trouble staying awake

thethirdwisemonkey · 26/02/2007 16:25

ds had a super time running round on the cricket pitched while I freezed me lalas off. I think when Boobara started singing and he started screaming I thought maybe he won't be the next Russell Watson after all

thethirdwisemonkey · 26/02/2007 16:28

that should say pitch not pitched

gingermonkey · 26/02/2007 16:43

sausage's little one was traumatised by it and cried the whole time we were at pizza hut afterwards - now that is not like her so it was clearly as traumatic for her as it was us!!!!

thethirdwisemonkey · 26/02/2007 16:53

We went into town afterwards and met up with Mr WiseMonkey. He asked ds if he'd had fun and if we were going again, ds shouted NO DADDY,NO MUMMY !!!
Poor Boobara wonder if she realises she's the stuff of nightmares, her singing wasn't that bad, was it???ds is currently sleeping off his trauma.

SausageButtyMonster · 26/02/2007 17:08

She could be prescibed by doctors instead of sleeping pills.....

gingermonkey · 26/02/2007 18:24

rofl, monkey. That is just too funny! Use Boobara as punishment when he's naughty!

sarahhal · 26/02/2007 18:48

Oh dear!! You know the bit at the end when they get to choose a song to sing in the circle? Well when we went, they all tottered up asking for twinkle twinkle, wheels on the bus etc. William gets up and demands .... Bob the Builder!! So the guitar comes out and she strums along to bob the builder and we all have to sit there singing along. AAH!! Good job I didn't know anyone!!

Think the cricket pitch holds more appeal doesn't it wiseone!!!

gingermonkey · 26/02/2007 19:01

Do you think she sings folk songs at home with her kids? Her daughter was there today (been sick this morning apparently so we should have got a free gift of a stomach bug along with a smiley face sticker!) and the daughter looked normal, not the daughter of a folk singer type at all (but you never can tell, can you???)

altogether now...can you touch your nose, la la la la la

thethirdwisemonkey · 26/02/2007 19:26

I can vouch for the cricket pitch as I spent such a long tome exploring it, tis a very fine one !!!
Monkey instead of if you're naughty the bogeyman will get you, I think it will be the Boobara lady in our house
